Baby Come Back - Proto Man - 07-19-2015 Man, I've been on online RPGs, MMOs, and other shit since I was 13. You know how long that is? That's like, the entire lifespan of the kids I teach right now. In that time, I've made many wonderful friends (and some not-so-much friends), and there are many people who I'd call family. The sad part is... people leave. They get caught up in real world stuff (understandable), they lose interest (EXCUSES), or other things happen. Sometimes they come back, and other times, they just become a footnote for a historical retelling of old threads or characters or old websites. This is a thread for everyone (not just me) to memorialize all the people you miss, whether you were close with them or just impressed by their writing or their personality. That said: I miss that Neal guy, from back when we called Nealaphh by his full name, because there was a dude already called Neal. He was a really cool guy with some neat ideas for a character that weren't focused on trying to murder everything or break every flexible rule. He had a nice run in Dante's Abyss that got better before he got super nova'd. He disappeared before the contest wrapped up without a word, and I really hope he finds his way back. I miss Vitruvius... He was this guy who played a robot. A robot that shot crossbow bolts or something. He had a great storyline with Samus that is a favorite among a few writers here (I know Dark Link loves 'Escape from Coruscant'). I'm really quite sad he left, because I wonder what would have happened with that storyline. I miss Nanoha. He was a really cool writer and cool bruh, and if he'd stuck around, I think his character and Proto Man could have had a really cool dynamic. I know he visits occasionally, but I really wish he'd return for a long haul and pump out some stories... I can't remember if I ever saw him write any completed threads, which is weird given how splendid his writing was. I left out Sasuke, because I know one day our resident 'Most Helpful Bro Ever' will return home. There are other people, but I'll talk later. Who do you miss? Re: Baby Come Back - Mickey Mouse - 07-19-2015 This doesn't incredibly follow the guidelines because, well, he's not gone, just on a break. But I know that sometimes, hearing things like this can be just what a person needs, so: Erza, I miss you, bro. Like, embarrassing-for-one-bro-to-say-to-another-bro miss you. I remember way back when we were all trying to figure out what was going on in 'The Best Alliance.' I don't know if we ever really revealed to everyone what was going on, so now, I guess, is as good a time as ever. Here goes. In the pre-MESH days, there was no MESH. Haha, surprise surprise, that wasn't a master plan the whole time, because Erza and I weren't... well, nobody really considered us a threat, at first, I think. We were low on the Power Rankings, didn't know too many of the other competitors on a personal level... heck, we didn't even really know each other. I sat scrambling to find allies because, as it stood, I was going into the competition mostly alone, and I'm sure Proto can postulate how things might have ended up if it stayed that way. I managed to get in with Luffy, who introduced me to a team that had already been low-key formed OOC. The "Ambrosians," as they would be called (Guu, Desco, Luffy, and Gildarts) along with Erza and, now, myself, at that moment. (It would grow a little bit following this moment.) When the time came for the game, we all discussed how we were gonna meet up, and Erza and I were close to each other. Thus, Merza was born. Erza, buddy, you are the BEST. I still remember clearly the days when we were freaking out over PM (because I was stubborn about Skype) wondering how they heck we'd gotten so popular several people asked us to join up with them. I still remember freaking out when things would go wrong in the big MESHbrosia megachat and the two of us were sitting in our own chat, freaking out that our original alliance to Ambrosia was almost revealed. I still remember how absolutely fucking dynamite the Merza dynamic was, whether it was by ourselves, with Samus and Harry, or with Samus and Gildarts. I have rarely ever had such instant chemistry with another writer who I barely even knew beforehand, and we became great friends through all those crazy experiences. I still consider you a great friend, and I look forward to the (inevitable) day when Mickey and Erza meet again. Mickey considers Erza his best friend in the Omniverse, and for good reason: she's the one who has earned his trust, just like you have earned my respect as a writer. I know you got hit with some post-DA slumps but just know that whenever Erza feels like waltzing her redheaded self back into action, her Mickey Mouse will be waiting for her, ready to partner up again like old days. You always managed to get some of my best writing out of me (heck, I still consider my Erza funeral post perhaps the best post I have ever written, in my opinion) and I cannot wait for the day when I get to get back into it. Love you, buddy! I have so many other people I miss, but that one seemed like the one that I needed to write out. Also, I too love 'Escape from Coruscant.' For the record. Hope she can come back sometime soon... Re: Baby Come Back - Miranda Frost - 07-20-2015 I don't miss people.. often, I'm used to letting go. However I must Mention a couple that do cross my mind Obito: could still be here but switch -shrugs- I'm not particularly sure which, but with Naruto here, i would like to see interactions between the two. They are very similar characters. Crona: light hearted always with something good to say. I'm surprised he/she hasn't been mentioned (not good at keeping up with genders here and if he has been mentioned.. just ignore that part), Good members seem to slip through the cracks before they can do much and i loved his interactions with Gilgemesh and Strazio. I sure hope he returns x.x :gilgamesh: Gilgy needs friends :gilgamesh: Re: Baby Come Back - Blackfire - 07-21-2015 Most of the people I miss are from Chubbs, obviously as my longest serving RPG community. I miss Vegeta Sr. He was such a fantastic writer and one of the people that helped elevate my writing skills while I RP'd with him as Bulma. I miss Krillin. I met up with him for the day when he came down from the states to London. I miss Dave/Gohan. He, I and Krillin hung out and had a blast. I also miss Trunks/Orion. Solid writer and a cool dude in general. I had a lot of fun writing with him, building up a little rivalry while he was Orion and I was Zena. Re: Baby Come Back - Proto Man - 07-21-2015 ...Orion is Link. He hasn't gone anywhere, you goof! |
