I don't really know if I have to wait to gain permission to use it, or if I just ask, but I'll ask to be safe and not end up waiting for nothing. I have read the rules of conduct.

A moderator still needs to approve your joining application. Once your joining process is complete and you've set up your roster, an admin will activate your account and you'll be able to use the chatbox. If you end up waiting for your account to be approved, you can post here.
