The thread is growing gradually, not sure I can say much this early in, but I like everyone's level/balanced integration. Interaction with IRIS and John became relevant when John accused Iris of working for the ever infamous skynet. I'm eager to see more of what comes of this, and the friction/tension and character evolution that I think may come with their involvement.
The soldier references from John's background help solidify the audience's perception of the character, as well as enforce a strong direction that you are trying to spin him in.
