opinion characters requested - Yu Kanda - 07-13-2015

Hey all,

Due to having too much time i spend facedesking i am creating an alt to write with whenever my main is in a group rp. But the choice is difficult as you may know yourself. I would like to hear your thoughts and opinion about these :

Magneto- my concern about him is that he might be too powerful. I mean control metal ?....for example if he faces edward elric he can just destroy his metalic limbs. Any thoughts ?

Sawada tsunayoshi ( katekyo hitman reborn ) i enjoy this character very much. Even though this one isnt that well known i am still considering him. And the secondaries he could bring in is also amazing.

Dracula ( dracula untold version ) - i thought the character was amazing. The depth behind his choices and how the warrior/leader becomes the monster.

Gajeel ( fairy tail ) who doesnt love the fairy tail anime / manga. And him being the best character ( imo ) so why not ?

Any input ? Or perhaps prefference ?

First off, you'll need to wait for an alt. ^^ 8000 OM is when you can create one, unless you donate (Which you most possibly have)

Second of all, I really don't know any of the other characters, so I would personally suggest Magneto (Marvel characters are extinct on this site!), but, like I had to, think of the goals each character would have and think about how well they would work in the Omniverse, and maybe write out a test post as some of them to get a feel for what you'll be facing when RPing as them ^^

@Ruby: you can also get an alt if you donate a certain ammount, which he has.

Its alright ruby i paid omni off Wink

.... and as said i really like magneto i am just afraid that within the omniverse he would either be completely useless or overpowered as hell.

With Omniphysics, like any other character he would be rather balanced, and if a move seems too overpowered, the staff will notify you and guide you to a more simple approach ^^

It wouldn't be that easy. Any telekinetic power that affects a Prime would have to be a move and that move would need to have some serious downsides in order to have a chance to incapacitate someone like that. Not to mention that a target could always try to mitigate Magneto's telekinesis by using ranged attacks and/or attempting to incapacitate/weaken Magneto himself in some fashion.

Basically, like Ruby said, we would work to make certain his moves are neither too weak nor too powerful.

Though I'm not familiar with the source material, I doubt that this character would be permitted. While I'm aware that Untold's Dracula isn't based on the Bram Stoker novel like our NPC is, they still appear to be fairly similar.

Think magneto would need some serious work and thought put into to make it a good prime.

And concerning dracula...i was actually thinking the same thing but wanted to put him in the thread nonetheless.

I like the idea of Magneto too. Each of these characters has their own great benefits, what do you want from the character, and which do you think can make you grow as a writer?

I'd go with Magneto. After all, he doesn't control metal, he controls magnetism, and not all metal is magnetic. Elric could make a new non-magnetic arm to counteract that, could be interesting.

It's all a matter of balance, but when it comes to characters, having someone with a wide variety of powers helps give you goals to write towards.

This is why I wouldn't pick the torch, because basically he can do fire ball and bigger fiery explosion. Magneto is also kinda one note in that sense, but his powers have a lot more utility, so I'd lean towards him.

Dunno anything about the other characters.

Dunno bout the other characters, but I'd go with Magneto instead of Jonny Storm. Magnetism beats a lot of folks, ya know? Plus he's a great character, would love to see him played?

Also I'm gonna probably go with Lucas Kane (Indigo Prophecy) when I get my alt. I shoulda started with him due to my fondness of telekinesis, but he may be more powerful so idk. IDK how that works.

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts. Really appreciated! After reading it all and some consideration i came to the conclusion that magneto will walk the verses !

Thanks again ! Now only to decide on the comic, cartoon or movie version hehe
