Joining as: Ark - Guest - 07-07-2015 Character name: Ark Character source: Brave Frontier Character history: Ark was the human knight who became a god after killing humanity’s 6 legendary heroes. To understand Ark’s story, one must understand the Six Heroes’ stories. The Six Heroes: Vargas, Lance, Eze, Selena, Magress, and Atro. These 6 humans have received legendary weapons that turned them into beings that were as strong as the gods themselves. As they became so strong, they began altering the world. Vargas had defended the Agni Empire, Lance controlled nature itself, Eze became the savior of the Atharva Republic, Selena had become the leader of the Savat people whilst fighting on the front lines, Magress was targeted by the leader of the gods, and Atro used his weapon to preserve the lives of the La Veda people. The gods were threatened by these six heroes’ powers, and this started the war between the gods and the humans. The humans won, however close of a war it was. This is when Ark struck. Ark was a knight allied with the gods, and he first challenged Vargas, the Flame Legend. This intense duel led to Vargas gaining a power that was far beyond the gods, but Ark continued fighting mercilessly. Then, Ark spoke, words that were never recorded, but words that made Vargas stop fighting back. Vargas smiled while he lost his life to Ark’s blade, and without a hero to defend the Agni Empire, it crumbled. Selena, the Ice Legend, lost most of her Savat people during the battles against the gods, and she sought to stop the God Army once and for all. She was met by the religious fanatic, Ulkina, and Selena fought Ulkina, gaining similarly impossible powers as Vargas did throughout this fight. After the battle, Ark appeared before Selena, speaking the same words that he spoke to Vargas. Selena answered, “Even so, I will never forgive you”, and she was struck down. The remainder of her people went on to seek a new home. Lance, the Earth Legend, fought the gods along with the other Heroes, but his weapon, Drevas the Demon Pike, consumed him the more he used it. During battle, he was forced to use his weapon’s ultimate power against the Lightning Gun, Rowgen’s continuous sniper attacks, which greatly sped up the rate of his body’s deterioration. He was able to finally defeat the sniper, but it was too late for himself. Moments before he died, Ark arrived, and spoke the same words that he told both Vargas and Selena. Lance felt relieved at these words, and he transformed into a tree whilst holding Drevas. Eze, the Thunder Legend, was against the gods as well, and he was faced with a woman, Kuhla, who he refused to fight. After he realized he must fight this woman, he gained the powers beyond the gods, and took this woman’s life. Ark came soon afterwards, and spoke the words as he did the other heroes, with a sad expression on his face. Eze smiled, turned his blade towards himself, and took his own life. It is rumored that Eze remarked that “Only I can defeat my own self!” while he died. Atro, the Light Legend, became one of the Six Heroes as the monastery in which he grew up in was destroyed by the gods. During the battle, his legendary weapon, Urias, was destroyed. Atro realized his own immaturity, and Urias was resurrected, giving it a power stronger than any of the gods. During it’s reconstruction, Ark came and told the words as he has done before. Atro swung his sword at the knight with an expression of agony on his face. However, an assassin, Kuda, had taken children of the destroyed monastery hostage. Atro stopped attacking, and was struck down by Ark’s sword in silence. Kuda then released the children, but as soon as he did, Kuda was pierced by Atro’s blade, killing him. It is said that Atro’s last words were, “May it bring a bright future for the children.” Magress, the Dark Legend, cut down multiple gods in vengeance of his parents’ deaths. His wild rage made him take on a form that left him unrecognizable as a human. The leader of the gods sent the Mad God Narza to kill Magress and his comrades. Narza killed off Magress’s comrades one by one, as Magress watched it unfold, trying to fight Narza as well. Consumed by even higher vengeance and rage then he had before, he completely slaughtered Narza while entirely wounded. Soon after, Ark arrived, speaking the same words that he spoke to the other five heroes. Magress then discarded all of his heavy armor, all except for his lance. Though he was unable to move because of his wounds, he challenged Ark to a duel he could not win. As Magress died, he uttered words of gratitude because of his death as a knight. Now, why did Ark kill his own brethren, his own Six Heroes, and why did he join the gods? What did he tell the Six Heroes? First of all, he was Lucius’s (the god guarding the gateway between Elgaia and Grand Gaia) first and only successful human disciple (basically a human-turned-god, and this was because of the immense strength he displayed whilst fighting the Six Heroes), but that is not the only reason. He first killed the Heroes because he was forced to, in fear of his lover being sealed away from the world. He also killed them for the sake of protecting the gateway between Elgaia (the human world) and Grand Gaia (the god world) during the Human-God War. Therefore he betrayed the humans to defend Lucius for the sake of the world. If Lucius were to die, the gate to Ishgria (the demon world) would open, unleashing all demons upon both Elgaia and Grand Gaia, causing chaos in the world. What he told the Six Heroes is still unknown. Only Ark knows himself. As a disciple, Ark worked under the shadows of a mask, cloak and dark armor, staying in incognito, advising the human leaders. However, when a certain human summoner and it’s comrades journeyed through Elgaia and went to defeat Lucius, it did exactly what Ark had feared. The gateway to and from Ishgria was opened, allowing the demons to come into Elgaia. So, the human summoner, it’s comrades, and Ark journeyed into the portal, seeking to kill all the demons within Ishgria. But it seems that Ark has been taken somewhere else when he entered the gate to Ishgria. Another god of another world had transported him to another place. The Omniverse. Physical Description: Stats: ATK: 3 DEF: 2 SPD: 2 TEC: 3 Starting Proficiencies: Physical Strength - 1000 OM A unique proficiency, this allows characters to become proficient hand-to-hand combatants without purchasing any additional moves. It also allows for picking up heavy objects with your bare hands, strength dependent (as with your hand-to-hand strength) on your ATK stat. Once purchased, you may also purchase melee weapons as moves, or other advanced melee moves such as charged strikes. Starting Powers: Burst Movement - 800 OM Burst Movement allows you to quickly move at up to double your normal speed. The downside is that is only usable in second-long bursts and is quite draining to use repeatedly. Already-speedy characters who use burst movement can look like they're teleporting, but it is really just fast movement. For less speedy characters, the ability to 'dash' at double your normal speed is very useful not only for avoiding attacks but also for closing in on enemies. Burst Movement can be used in conjunction with Flight. Basic Super Jump - 300 OM Allows one to jump up to 10 metres high. Master Acrobat - 400 OM Allows you to perform handstands, flips and cartwheels with ease, even while attacking or defending. Foresight - 1500 OM A kind of psychic instinct that allows one to sense oncoming danger a moment before it happens. You can also tell from what direction danger is coming and what kind of attack it will be. Best combined with speedy, skilful characters – it's all well and good knowing that someone is going to punch you, but it doesn't help if you can't dodge it. Starting Moves: Sword of Brave - 300 OM This blade is the strongest blade ever created in Grand Gaia and Elgaia combined. It is of a gold color, and in this world, it’s magical properties were removed. Therefore, it is now just a normal gold sword. Boundary Sword: Asterio - 300 OM This blade was used to kill all of the Six Heroes during the Human-God War. It is of a black color, and again, with the entrance to the Omniverse, it’s magical properties were removed, making it now a normal black sword.
