Character name: Kurapika
Character source: Hunter x Hunter
Character history: Kurapika is the last remaining member of the Kurta Clan, a relatively reclusive group of people who were valued for their eyes, which glowed scarlet. Their Scarlet Eyes were classified as one of the most beautiful things in the world. While Kurapika was away from the clan to see the outside world for the first time, something rare within their culture, a group of criminals known as the Phantom Troupe attacked and massacred the lot, removing the eyes from the bodies. Kurapika then swore that he would capture the criminals who did this, and retrieve the eyes of his fallen comrades.
His first step was to become a Hunter, an organization of capable individuals that were granted access to vast resources and the best contracts in various fields, ranging from archaeology to monster hunting to bounty hunting. Though the Hunter Exam was difficult, he eventually came away as one of the finalists, and was given his Hunter License. From there, he was given the chance to complete the "Secret Exam," which was to learn the art of "Nen." Nen was the catalyst of every powerful technique that was used in the world, and so Kurapika trained and learned from a master.
From there, he was given a contract by a wealthy contractor, who hired several Hunters to retrieve various valuable items to be put up in a famous auction taking place in a major city. He determined that it was an event that the Phantom Troupe was likely to hit. He was proven correct when they assaulted the auction, and was given a chance to fight one of them one on one. It was in this fight that he was able to determine the effectiveness of the techniques he had developed just for the Troupe, and came out easily victorious. Using the information he gained through his employer, he managed to track down the leader of the Troupe, and perform an ability on him that would negate any future use of Nen, rendering him virtually defenseless.
With the Troupe (seemingly) defeated, Kurapika began his search for his kin's Scarlet Eyes, which would lead him all over the world over the course of a year and a half. His search even necessitated his absence from an otherwise mandatory election within the Hunter Organization, and his absence was extended as he prepared a funeral service for his fallen comrades. Soon after a Chairman was selected, Kurapika was approached to fill in an important group within the Hunters Organization, and he was on his way to give his answer when Omni snatched him up.

Kurapika can conjure chains made entirely of his nen/energy, though it retains the same properties of the real thing. He can use these to lash enemies, as well as constrict them. More nen can be charged into them in order to make them harder to break, though doing so takes greater concentration and drains his energy more rapidly.

In order for Chains to constrict an enemy, Debuff Proficiency is required. Also, with the lashing, constricting, and charging features it'll cost 900 OM.
Other than that, just note in your history when/how Kurapika ended up in the Omniverse.
