Shit I See When I'm Tired - Thaal Sinestro - 06-19-2015
As inspired by Ganny D's dream journal, I've been wanting a place to just talk about some of the random shit I see. Posting on Facebook just send attention hungry, so I figure here is fine.
So I'm a little prone to hallucinations. I have been all my life, and I've just learned to deal with it. Mainly they happen when I'm tired. When I get like, REALLY tired I start tripping the fuck out and the world becomes a merry go round of jump scares and nonsense.
I was fighting all day for a LARP, like, really intensely, and as the main big bad for the weekend I was waiting for the town to fight through my schmucks to come gank me one last time. It took them like an hour and a half to finally get to me.
So I was sitting on this chair, exhausted beyond belief, fighting to keep my eyelids open. I'm looking down at the ground, and all of a sudden I see flapping. I look down, and wings are just violently flapping as this bird slowly extricates itself from the dirt, furiously thrashing it's way to the surface. It finally gets free and instantly flies away into the pitch black of the night sky. This fucking bird was no more than two feet away from me in vivid, HD display.
I blink, and it was just a shadow. Just a shadow in the darkness.

Last night as I was getting ready for bed (we were sleeping on some fairgrounds because it takes two days to convoy all the way back from MI to PA), I looked it of the crack in my ambulance's and I see a soldier walk by, illuminated by the lights inside the truck.
That wouldn't be weird if there wasn't a trailer hitch in the way and if he hadn't walked by like nothing was in his way.

Aight, one last one before I shut up for a bit.
About a year ago, again LARPing, I started up fighting till about three. My friend is gonna drive us back to their house so we can hang for a little bit. It's an hour trip on it's own, and we get lost.
Finally, I am too exhausted to drive, my eyelids were uncontrollable. But I was navigating using the GPS for the person that took over. It's 0530 now, and were finally hitting the town where they live.
I am totally out of it at this point. Stop signs are jumping out, phantom vehicles are attempting to merge into our lane. My friend is desperately trying to get me to calm down, and I'm trying to chill too because I know it's all fake.
Suddenly I wake up from a two second doze and look up to see a horse and buggy in front of us on the highway, going about twenty to our sixty. Not only that, but it exists exclusively in white strobing seizure flashes.
Understandably, I am startled. I throw my hands up and slam the imaginary passenger-side brake, going, "WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH."
It was a fun night.

I was coming back from a late-night session (I do massage), and I was exhausted. Here are the various things that assaulted me on the road while I struggled to keep my eyes open:
No less than 3 people wandering into the street
A GIANT hulking tan monster (which was actually a downed tree on the side of the road)
A monorail car driving overhead without a track
Some weird, wave, fluid creature with two long, ribbon-y legs that loped along a green hillside

When I'm wiped out at LARP, I'm always really super confused whether what I'm seeing is a REAL THING that I should be worried about on an In Game level, or if I'm just seeing shapes in the darkness.
This weekend, there was this fucking AMAZINGLY repped (represented, like, the costume or prop they use to represent a thing) giant wolf monster, complete with glowing red eyes.
I saw it stalking in the darkness as this dark shape, and I was like, "Is that a real thing?" When it turned and two bright red eyes looked back at me, I nearly had a fucking heart attack.

I see floating particles and wisps of energy when I get tired.
