I just failed the vision test for renewing my license. Why? Because of a drug called Seroquel I was on for my Bi Polar disorder for over a year. It's a powerful anti psychotic. So powerful it clinically has only two uses. Bi Polar and Schizophrenia. It causes loss of vision, muscle twitches, etc etc.
So now I either get a day time only license or just see if my eyes get better before the 6 month limit, because I will NOT retake the driver test. Fuck that. I'd kill a room full of people before doing that waste of time.
Oh and you know what's great? My eye doctor said MY EYES WERE COMPLETELY HEALTHY! 100%. Yet my vision is degraded.
So kids, the lesson is that even drugs your doctor prescribes you can be worse than fucking straight up coke. ID RATHER HAVE GOTTEN ADDICTED TO COCAINE THAN LOSE MY VISION! AT LEAST THEN ID BE FUCKING SKINNY!

Shit man. That really blows. Is the loss of vision permanent, or would it be 'fixed' by swapping meds? It probably won't be a picnic to change medications, especially if this one is working really well, but maybe there's one that can cover the vision thing too?

I've been off the Seroquel for over three weeks. I'm switching to Lithium. It's beyond irritating.
