An Angel Among the Wind (Open) - Raina - 06-04-2015
She exited the mortal and fell to the ground. She is still not used to these things. She fell to her knees, a little shaky from the transport. The wind roared as the fiery sand blew with it. What hellish world was this place? She stood up after grabbing a hand of the sand and letting it fall from her hand. She walked a little through the sand. She didn't really know where she was going, but she had to find somewhere to go. Many thoughts of her sister, Aria, ran through her mind. Why did she do what she did? Why did she make that pact? Why did she take away their family? Raina's thoughts clouded her mind until a violent dust storm raised up in front of her. She saw on the ground a magic circle and instantly felt the fear strike her. "Noo! I didn't do this!" Out of the circle stepped the sinister face she knew so well. Aria.
"Greetings, Sister? Did you need a hug? Or maybe just wanted me to finish what I started?" She said as she smiled with clear malice in her expression. She raised her sword and swung down fast. Raina barely had time to dove out of the way of the blade. "Oh come on, Raina, Dear. Don't you want to be reunited with Mother and Father? Don't you want to be at peace with them?" She said as she laughed maniacally. Aria stood at 5'5 with her reddish edgy cut hair falling to her shoulders. She wore skimpy black leather armor that left nothing to the imagination and long thigh high greaves that sparkled with the light. Aria used to be such a happy girl, with many lovers and admirers from across the dimensions, but the lack of an affinity for magic caused Aria's heart to become tainted by evil.
"Aria... Please.. I don't want to have to fight. Can't we just get you help? I can try and heal the corruption from you! Please let me help!" Raina pleaded with her older sister. She didn't want to fight, especially not against her sister! This wasn't right. Siblings should not have this much bad blood between them. Raina stood up and tried to get through to the sister she once had.
"You really think sweet words and a plee from you will get me to not attack you? My body craves Mana and it wants your's, little sister!" She screamed as she ran after Raina. Raina sighed and calmed herself before she cast a magic circle in front of her. She slammed her fist into in smashing the circle and screamed, "SMITE!" A blast of searing light 3 feet in diameter slammed into Aria's chest sending her flying to the ground. "Aria! Oh no! I am so sorry!" Raina called out.
"You little bitch!" Aria called out. She got up and channeled her dark power into a black flame that ignited over her blade. She charged at her and blasted Raina with her dark flame. "Ahhhhhhhh!" Raina screamed as she fell to the ground. Aria charged at her preparing to strike the finishing blow. Raina raised her hand and formed another circle. "Aria! No!" She called as her sister tried to strike her down. Raina slammed her fist into the circle and called out, "Drown!" A blast of water slammed into Aria knocking her to the ground. She cringed a little as she stood up. "This is not over, Sister!" She said as she disappeared into the portal.

As I limped, looking for some sort of civilization, being supported by Vibe, I looked back at the portal to see a girl. "Someone...is here...?" I asked myself. I pointed towards the girl, and Vibe looked back at her too. She appeared to be fighting with someone else. There was a circle on the ground, and she seemed to punch it, no reason known. "Smite!" She shouted. A blast of searing light burst out, hitting the one she was fighting with. Ignoring what they were saying, I turned to Vibe. "...What do you think they're fighting about...?" I asked. "...I have no idea..." Vibe responded. We turned back towards the fight.

Vibe and I stared at each other again. "Who...is that girl...?" I asked. "How should I know?" Vibe responded. I proceeded towards the girl, at a limp. "...What was with that fight...?" I asked.

Raina sat up, hearing the voice of the man near her. She placed her arms to her chest and looked at the man dressed in the scarlet and yellow uniform. Raina's face lit up with a crimson blush as she noticed him. She tried to back away a little, afraid that he may attack. "Please..... don't.. don't hurt me." She said as she tried to back away a little.
It was obvious this girl was new to this place and she didn't want to any trouble. "That.. that was my sister... Aria." She said as she continued to back away. Her long pink hair fell a little in front of her face as she tried to hide her tears. "Please.. I.. don't know... where I am.. I don't know what is happening. I just came.. here. I had to escape." Tears fell down from her eyes like the rain from the heavens.

Vibe approached. "We would love to stay and chat, but we're hunting for Captain Cold right now..." Vibe said. "No, no, we have time..." I responded. "But, isn't hunting Snart down what we came here for?" Vibe asked. "...Not like I could fight him at the time, anyway..." I responded, noting my injury.

The man was a hero? This what heroes looked like here? Heroes back home wore armor, carried swords, and told tales of valor and bravery. They were all dead now. Fallen to the evil that is Aria. Her friends, her father. even the man she was promised to wed. All fallen during the worst part of Raina's life. She was not a hero, a princess was not allowed to be one. She instantly felt more at ease with this man and his companion. Heroes were people meant to protect. He would not hurt her. His companion seemed nice as well.
She got up and walked to the scarlet clad hero. "You are injured? Let me help with that, Please." She kneeled down and placed her hands of his injured foot and let the power flow out of her. Her eyes glowed a sparkling gold and her body was illuminated in light. Her hair started to sparkle and shimmer like most divine beings due with they use their holy power. The light sparkled intensely and only made the girl look more beautiful.
The wound on the man's foot started to heal as time passed, soon he would feel like nothing happened. Raina was always skilled healer, besting most of the Divine Realm. She looked up at the man with her crimson eyes and smiled. "Is that better?" She said as she stood up continued to smile.
Her long pink hair fluttering in the breeze as the wind roared on. "Who is this, Captain Cold, you speak of? Such a wierd title. Is he a wizard?" She asked as she looked at the two confused. She placed her hands in front of her and clutched them together. The sun shined down on her skin, almost causing to sparkle. It was quite obvious that this girl was not human, or something more. Her outfit was less then modest as it exposed her cleavage, arms, and long legs, with only x like patches of fabric on her right leg.

"Captain Cold is a robber who got his hands on a weapon my friend here made. The weapon in question can turn temperatures to absolute zero." I explained, turning back towards Raina. I then looked down and realized she just healed my wound. "...How'd you do that in only a few seconds?" I asked. "...Nevermind that...I guess I should introduce myself. They call me the Flash, and this is my friend, Vibe." I gestured towards Vibe. Finally met another Prime who WON'T kill me. I thought to myself.

A weapon that freezes surely that is sorcery? She thought to herself. Science was marvelous but elemental magic rained supreme when it came to things like that. She smiled at the man when he was surprised about her powers. Her face lit up from a slight embarrassment. "My name... My name is Raina Lynna Dawne Scylar. Princess.. Princess of Mystia. The land of the angels. I came through a portal here thinking this would take me to Man's world. Where the human's live. But I ended up here. And your wound healed because I am a Relic, a divine sorceress where I come from. I control mana and am able to use to heal or even attack with it."
Flash. That is quite a name for a hero, she thought. I wonder what he could do that earned him that name. Was it the flash of his blade when he attacked? Or was it his charming smile? She didn't know but it was a story she would like to here. "Why do they call you flash? And for the matter of this Captain Cold, was it? I would like to help if I can." Raina said.
She didn't know why she was offering her assistance. She wasn't allowed to be a hero. But then again, the men her kingdom allowed to be heroes couldn't hate things. They couldn't stand up to Aria. She could. What does this mean? She may have to be the hero this world needs.

"They call me the Flash because of this." I explained. I circled Raina five times at super speed. I then stopped myself. "So, you want to help with Captain Cold?" Vibe said, turning towards Raina. "You've gotta be ready for ANYTHING with Captain Cold..." I said. "Trust me, he's a big problem...Even without his weapon, he's a ruthless criminal who will do anything to get away. And he isn't the only problem I've had. Of course, more of my problems have powers, like I do, so that makes it worse."

Raina was scared as soon as the man sped around him. She had never seen anything quite like it. Sure there was fast warriors, but a man who speeds so fast he's just a blur? Raina stepped back a little as she was startled. She regained her confidence and look at the two. "I have plenty of ways to stop him. Look!" She said as she made a circle facing towards a boulder a good distance away. "Flames of wraith gather in the circle! Ignite!" She said as she punched the circle. It is not often that she get to cast the full incantation. In the heat of battle it takes too much time.
The flame smashed into the boulder causing it to explode. She smirked a little. She wasn't trying to seem like a showoff. She just wanted show that she could handle herself. Her hair swayed in the breeze as she laid her hands to her side. She turned to them hoping they would not be afraid of what she could do. It is obvious that magic didn't roam as free here as it did in her realm.

We stared at the rock as it exploded. "...That was amazing..." Vibe said, still staring at where the rock was. "Yep, you can help us." I said. "I believe Captain Cold was going...That way." I pointed towards the direction the portal was facing. "Well, let's go." Vibe said before starting to walk that way. I shrugged before following, using super speed to catch up to Vibe before starting to walk normally.

Raina blushed a little. Someone thought her powers were amazing, useful. She walked to catch up with them and headed in the direction they walked. "So please, tell me. What do you know about this Omniverse? I haven't been here very long. I am a little afraid to be honest." She said as she held her head down a little. She didn't see the rock in the sand and tripped over it falling comically as her breasts bounced. "Owies!!! What was that!" She said as she rubbed her head.
Raina usually wasn't clumsy but when she is, it is normally hilarious. Her face was lit up a deep crimson with embarrassment. Here she was a princess, fallen in the sand. Honestly, she got a little angry and she drew a circle focused towards the stone and punched it. "Ignite!" She said as the flame hit the stone causing rubble and sand to go everywhere. "Damn rock!" She said as she made a cute pout face.

"At least you didn't charge headfirst into a rock at SUPER SPEED on your first day here..." I said, stopping and turning towards Raina. "As for the Omniverse, I don't know much...I do know that you can summon items, or maybe other people, if you focus really hard. Some things are easy to summon, others, not so much. But you can only do it if you are a Prime; that is, people who are summoned by Omni." I then explained. I then went off to speed after Vibe, who continued on, but I ran directly into a man, and we both fell down. As we got up, I noted his attire; a light blue parka with white fuzz, a pair of sunglasses with a blue rim, and a gun with a glowing blue piece on the barrel; Captain Cold. "...Captain Cold..." I said, staring at Snart. "Hello, Flash..." Captain Cold responded. Vibe turned around and came back. "Hello to you too, Sisco..." Snart then added, turning towards Vibe, who removed his mask. "Snart...Drop your weapon..." Sisco said, clenching his fists. Snart wasn't going to obey, and he simply tightened his grip on the Cold Gun.

Raina smiled as the man talked about running into a Boulder. She couldn't help but giggle a little as she got herself up and dusted herself off.
Raina ran after the speedster and noticed from a distance the man in the blue parka. That must be him. She thought to herself. Before he would notice her, she waved her hands in circular motions creating magic circles, a total of 5. Think Raina. His weapon can freeze. So I need fire, lot's of it. I just hope Flash can get him and Vibe out of the way. I don't have time to warn them. She quickly focused her target on Captain Cold and said "Ignite!" as she slammed her fist into each circle shooting five blasts of flame at the Captain.

I grabbed Vibe and pulled him out of the blast as the Ignite attack hit Captain Cold, the fire searing him. He barely kept himself close to the ground as the attack hit. As it calmed down, he saw the caster. "Don't do that again." he told Raina, pointing the Cold Gun at her. While he was distracted, I charged some kinetic force in my fist, Speed Force lightning crackling. I then approached the distracted Snart and...

A shockingly powerful punch hit Captain Cold.

The Captain pointer his freeze ray at her but was easily distracted by the blow Flash gave him. It seemed electrifying. Raina took that moment to make another circle but this time knew she could use the full incantation. "Heaven's light! Defeat this evil! Smite!" She said as she slammed her hand into the circle send a beam of light towards Captain Cold. She refused to let this man win. She knew if she didn't defeat him, he could hurt her or even Flash or Vibe. She couldn't let that happen.
She flipped her long hair back as the beam charged toward him and took off after the man as well. If he recovered from the blast she would be ready to strike point blank if she had to. After all, this is her story. Not his. She was the hero now, not the fallen men of Mystia. Raina, the frail princess everyone refused to believe could protect herself. She was the hero meant to protect people. That is why Omni chose her. She just knew it. She felt it in heart.

Snart was instantly hit by a towering ray of light from Raina. He seemed to be getting weak, but he wasn't just ready to give in yet. As the ray died down, Captain Cold was smirking. He had a plan to get away. "Alright...You are good, girl..." Captain Cold said. He then shot Raina in the foot with the Cold Gun, freezing her foot in place. "Raina!" I shouted.. "But I'm afraid I have to go..." Snart said. "Keep cool.". He then left, the smug look remaining on his face. I then ran to Raina's side. "Raina...Are you okay?" I asked, looking worried.

Raina stopped when he pointed the gun at her and cringed a little. He shot the beam freezing her foot cold. Raina fell to the ground unable to move. "Damnit! Don't let him go! I'm fine! Get him!" She called out as she prepared to defrost her frozen foot. She made a magic circle on the ground and cast the flame there near her foot. "Flames of Wraith! Gather in the Circle! Ignite!" The ground lit up in a blaze of heat and flame. The ice started to melt a little but it was obvious it would take some time. "Good Heavens this is tedious." She said as she waited uncomfortable. In that position it it was very easy to see her down her leotard, and spot her breasts.
She held her head down looking at the flame melt the ice and a few strands of hair covered her face. She brushed her hair behind her ear and just continued to wait on the ice. "This is ridiculous." She said as she sighed heavily. She tried her best to be a hero and look what happened. The enemy got the best of her. She was just lucky she didn't get completely frozen.
"How stupid am I?" She said as she slammed her fist into the ground. "I thought I was a hero.. I am nothing. A joke, a princess in armor." Tears fell from the girl's crimson eyes and fell to the ground. It was obvious this girl had some issues. She tried her hardest and look where it got her. Failure and frozen. Embarrassed and upset with herself.

"No, don't be like that..." I told Raina, trying to stop her from crying. "Captain Cold gets away all the time, it's not your fault..." Vibe then added. "But the fact that you stood up to him...You're definitely a hero." I said. The sound of Snart's Cold Gun was heard, but I didn't hear it, and Vibe didn't seem to, either. "If we just continue on, we're sure to find Snart." I said. Vibe then pointed in the direction Snart went, a cactus was frozen. "I think that he went that way." Vibe said. "What gave it away?" I asked sarcastically. "Just a hunch." Vibe commented. We then went off in that direction.

I turned around and saw that Raina's foot was still frozen. "Oh, awkward, I forgot you were frozen." I said. I turned back around. "Hey, Vibe, can you...Speed this up a bit?" I asked Vibe. "Sure." Vibe said. He put his mask back on and started to send vibrations through the frozen foot. The ice cracked a bit, shaked, and started to break. "In a minute or so, your foot should be free." Vibe said. The ice broke off of her foot. "There you go...Now we can head after Snart." Vibe said. "And, hey; next time, we should be able to get him." I told Raina. I then turned back toward the frozen cactus, and Vibe and I headed in that direction.

Finally her foot was free. She got herself up, and wiped her eyes with her arm. Her eyes started to glow a deep crimson. "This man is going to regret freezing me!" She said as she took off after him. Her mind was racing. She couldn't let a mortal get away with that embarrassment. Her feet hit the ground heavy as she followed the frozen cacti the man left as souvenirs. What an idiot to lead a path straight to him. Her fists clenched as she she followed the path. What was wrong with her? She didn't resort to anger like this. She felt to her knees and stared at her fists. "What is happening?" She said as she looked at her fists.
