WWE Thread - Blackfire - 05-31-2015

For fans than refuse to stop watching WWE even though it's well past its glory days.

My input to this thread is pending until I OFFICIALLY watch WWE Elimination Chamber.

P.s. Screw you Karl Jak!!

Re: WWE Thread - Thaal Sinestro - 06-01-2015

I've started watching Lucha Underground, and the wrestling is FUCKING AMAZING.

Re: WWE Thread - Proto Man - 06-13-2015

I'd really like to see Ambrose win, regardless of whether he does so clean or not. As much as I like Seth Rollins, his time with the belt has been pretty underwhelming, and I don't think that having him demolish Ambrose and go over clean is the way to go, since that would effectively shatter any momentum that Dean has been building.

Also, if Roman Reigns wins the briefcase, I'mma roll my eyes. Roll 'em so hard they pop out of my face.

I agree with you 100%

Re: WWE Thread - Blackfire - 06-13-2015

They should have put R-Truth in the MITB ladder match just for kicks. Dude shot the funniest promo of the year so far, this Monday on Raw. Not to mention he's also afraid of ladders!

Re: WWE Thread - Proto Man - 06-14-2015

They should have put Wyatt in instead of Kane ~_~

Re: WWE Thread - Thaal Sinestro - 06-14-2015

But KANE, Proto. KANE.

Lol they need fresh blood in the WWE. ANOTHER REASON TO WATCH LUCHA UNDERGROUND

Putting Kane there only makes sense if either HE wins or prevents Reigns from winning. If not, then I agree, waste of participant. I strongly feel that one of the two scenarios will come to fruition tonight though.

Well the guys in the title picture are Rollings and Ambrose, not old timers. Plus, WWE has plenty of fresh blood in NXT, that are gradually making their way to the main roster and making an impact. Heck, they put Neville in the MITB ladder match!

Re: WWE Thread - Proto Man - 06-14-2015

Yea, the WWE is doing a great job of promotion new stars.

I'd support Kane getting one last run at being something serious only if it means he retires from competing afterwards. I like Glenn Jacobs a lot and he deserves to go out with a bang, but it's also time to let him go.

I also like Big Show, but I think it's time he goes too.

Then really it's just Cena and Orton taking up main event spots from up-and-comers. And I doubt we'll be rid of those two for a long time.

Re: WWE Thread - Thaal Sinestro - 06-14-2015

NXT is some good stuff fom what I've heard. I might actually relocate some time for it

Re: WWE Thread - Proto Man - 06-14-2015

I'm a fan of NXT.

If that's the future of WWE, I'll be a happy, occasional viewer for a while to come.

Re: WWE Thread - Blackfire - 06-14-2015

Triple H is the reason NXT is epic.

When Vince finally decides to step down and gives the WWE to Triple H, expect even more up and comers emerging into the spotlight.

Re: WWE Thread - Proto Man - 06-15-2015

Don't open the tag unless you've watched MiTB
Kind of a terrible-not terrible event, if you ask me.

I'm cool with the Sheamus swerve, since heels usually seem to win anyway and he'll be gone for a few months anyway for filming.

The Divas match was the worst thing I've ever seen. If I was Paige, I'd go back to NXT, rather than deal with this crap every week <_<

Cena-Owens was boss, even if I wanted Owens to crush him. If Owens doesn't win a final match at Summerslam, I will lose all faith in whoever writes these storylines.

I think I blinked and the tag team championship match ended... Anyone remember when Titus and Heath Slater were a tag team?

I enjoyed the main event. I didn't think Rollins would lose, and I think the finish was good for both men. Rollins got the win he needed, and Dean looked like an unkillable badass.
Re: WWE Thread - Blackfire - 06-19-2015

I thought the PPV overall was solid.

Cena vs Owens stole the show! That's a match of the Year candidate right there.

I was also pleased that Seth finally won without assistance. That was the first bit of credibility he gained as the WWE champ.

Don't get me started on the divas. That 'Twin Magic' routine was cool seven years ago, but now it's way past its sell buy date. WWE are obviously struggling with what to do with Brie Bella aka the lesser twin.

Meanwhile, Barrett continues to be misused by WWE, not only wearing one of the most ridicolous outfits I've ever seen in WWE, but loses to R-Truth aka WWE's replacement for Santino Marella.

Re: WWE Thread - Proto Man - 06-20-2015

The diva division as a whole has been lackluster since AJ left, and don't get me wrong, I'm not a rapid AJ fanboy, but it's pretty obvious they don't want to try to develop any existing talent on WWE shows or build anything relating to storylines. I feel bad for Paige, because people are going to get tired of her being the only one getting legit (and ultimately pointless and wasted) shots at the title.

And I really liked the WWE title match, as I mentioned. Both men looked good, and the look on Dean's face hurt my heart.

BUT NOW WE HAVE BRAAAAAACKKKKKK LESNARRRRRRRRRRR

Re: WWE Thread - Blackfire - 06-23-2015

I always felt AJ was overrated; not her wrestling skills, but her character.

In other news, I want this guy as an NPC!

Re: WWE Thread - Kirano Jr - 07-18-2015

The biggest question leading up to Battleground: Does Seth Rollings (on his lonesome) retain, or take a one-way, first class ticket to Suplex City?!

Seth retains me thinks, if the rumour of Seth vs Triple H at Summerslam is true. Then again, if the plan is for a Seth Rollins faceturn, then it makes me wonder if Trip is gonna screw Seth over, leading to a Lesner heelturn. Let's face it, Lesnar and Heyman are just natural heels.

Re: WWE Thread - Proto Man - 07-19-2015

Lesnar and Heyman are faces only because the crowd loves them. They're still the same assholes they always were.

You've heard the rumors of the Deadman being at Battleground, right?

Rollins retains with a dirty finish/DQ.

Re: WWE Thread - The Grey Man - 07-19-2015

Haven't watched wrasslin' since its heyday back in the late 90s, early 2000s.

I just came in to say OOHHHH YEAAAH, BROTHER and ask if it's still as over-the-top as it was. If so, I might have to get back into it, but I just can't imagine anybody replacing Stone Cold, Macho Man, Undertaker, The Hulkster himself, et al. from those halcyon days.
