An Ashen Fury - James Knight - 04-19-2018 There were days when people wished they could simply banish themselves back to their homeworld. Of course there were also times when people wished to put others on a conveyor belt that led into a series of death traps. In the case of the Quarterback of Chaos, today was one of the latter days for him, because of what he had experienced so far. To start out, there was an individual he despised who was still unharmed, and very much alive. And very much in the house that he had slaved over, and built practically on his own, as Hecate had been little help to be fair. This alone was not the cause of the unwanted sensation that the Quarterback of Chaos felt. No, it was not. Other matters also weighed down upon him like a ton of bricks. For example, the matter of “Aunt Susan” who he believed to be at least somewhat crazy. After all he did not have an Aunt Susan to his knowledge. And if someone had created an “Aunt Susan” in order to steal his Omnilium, they had another thing coming. Phony ransoms were not something the oQuarterback of Chaos was going to, or would ever pay. As such, the individuals were not going to get a single dime from him if he could avoid it. Still, he owed it to himself to at least see who the person was. Yet he was not going to put his life at risk by going there in person. Perhaps if he had some sort of minion, he could send said minion to risk their lives, and if they got killed he would know. But no sadly enough he was going to have to deal with this personally. Of course on the upside he would get the opportunity to brutally, horribly, and horrifically maim and slaughter each and every last one of the people who bothered him, almost all of them anyway. The one he really wanted to drop in an active volcano, he couldn’t. At least, not at present yet. Sure, Luna may have advised against that course of action. But honestly, right now he didn’t give a crap. For the amount of irritation he had suffered due to the spam messages provided by "Aunt Susan" she was going to find herself flung into an active volcano - even if he had to create one himself. Yes, he was that annoyed about the spam. Of course with the spam messages he did have the courage to deal with it.The one thing he did know was that he had to get a lot stronger before he could deal with his other problems. Gaining the permission of Gilgamesh to build his house could wait until he had dealt with his current problems. You see, Warren did not like being made a fool out of. No, dislike was not the right word thought Warren, as he started the trek in the direction he was now headed. Sure this may not be as easy as he would have liked to do, but few things were. As the pure white of the Nexus assaulted his senses Warren made haste towards the Ashen Steppes. Determined to get there as quickly as humanely possible - Warren had all manner of creative punishments planned for the Ransom4u people. An acid bath perhaps or several for their leader might discourage problems like this for him in the future. About roughly 5 hours later he reached the gate to the Ashen Steppes. With purpose he pushed forward and marched into it. It was time to deal with his problems. No more hiding. No more cowardice. No more damn weakness. Warren was done with all that. For the time being he had discarded his fellow feeling and empathy. |
