Beach Party Interest Thread? - Atelos - 05-03-2015
Not sure if you all heard this in the Chat but the Staff have been thinking to run a Non-Canon Seasonal Event this summer. The entire thread would be "for fun" and basically would be our characters hanging out somewhere doing things they typically wouldn't be doing. For example, Beach volleyball and other social events that people at the Omniverse wouldn't have the chance to write out. This would be located in the Creative Corner.
The Summer Thread would be a beach party that would involve:
Beach Volleyball
BBQ
Campire
Swimming
DJ
Boat Rides
Other Games
Etc.
Venue Possibilities: Nexus, The Vasty Deeps, The Endless Dunes
We will announce the specific date later on. Please reply down here if you are interested and/or you have any suggestions to make this event more fun.

This should absolutely be canon. Omni's "Against-Your-Will" Beach Bash Bonanza Blowout! Just teleport people DA style and force them to have a fun time on the beach. ...I mean, it's the kind of crazy that seems up Omni's alley.

i don't think people should be forced out of their Saga's to participate XD. As well as possibly conflicts with the Real Staff Saga- DA

I'm all for it, but unlike Magus, I think it should be strictly non-canon. While that may be something Omni would do, it would force people to take the IC relationships and their personal storylines into account.
By making it non-canon, people can post freely without the weight of those "obligations" and can make their characters do even things that they wouldn't/couldn't normally do.

I'd like to have one. We'll be doing everything you'd expect from a beach party plus the plot twists we need for a silly get together.
Plot twists may include:
Sea Monsters
Aliens
Zombies
Tsunamis
Waterspouts
ETC

Just for added silliness, we should have a "love booth" of sorts, also. Where characters who enter are randomly "paired" with other characters. It could make for some fun and interesting scenarios

Edit: Question! Is this for one or up to both of a player's characters? I think having a person's two characters interact in this non-canon setting would be pretty hilarious.
