Regarding usage of NPCs - Darth Vader - 03-26-2015

This is likely covered somewhere already in the rules, buuut....

Is it still required we request to use an NPC in a non-person storyline, so long as it's a site canon and doesn't belong to anyone else?

Re: Regarding usage of NPCs - Proto Man - 03-26-2015

Are we talking a personal NPC?

Re: Regarding usage of NPCs - Darth Vader - 03-26-2015

Nope, an empire/kingdom NPC.

Re: Regarding usage of NPCs - Sasuke Uchiha - 03-26-2015

If you intend to use one of the official site npcs, then yes, you would need to do so here.

If you are just wanting to use an npc that you have created, who happens to be aligned with one of the factions, then no. I am using a stormtrooper npc who had a name and a vital part of the story right now! Now, use common sense as if you intended to use a family member of a site npc, then you would. For instance: Using Judge Dredd's nephew.

Also, anything that will bring any significant change to a zone or faction story should be approved through staff first.

Lastly, I am not staff and have no official say or the experience/knowledge of a staff member, however, I felt I could answer this with 100% clarity, so I hope this helps! ^_^

Re: Regarding usage of NPCs - Ganondorf - 03-27-2015

Sasuke is right, though we prefer that members leave questions outside of the Quick Questions thread to Staff.

Most NPCs won't have families, by the way. everything else is as he said.
