RE: Quick Questions - Jack Darby - 04-10-2017

When you buy the item to relocate your base, do you need to pay another thousand to have the base rebuilt in whatever verse?

RE: Quick Questions - Handsome Jack - 04-10-2017

No. Otherwise, why even bother relocating? Just ditch the old base and buy a brand new one.

(04-10-2017, 01:18 PM)Cell Wrote: Armor in the OV is just represented by your Def stat. Summoning armor wouldn't give you greater resistance to damage. In particular, you can increase your resistance to some things and not others. (Elemental weaknesses and resistances are a no go.) If you want a "shield" type move, that reduces damage against all sources for a limited time, that's fine.

More on this for my Symbiote. Can I say that my Symbiote is highly resistent to Ballistic damage (bullets, etc), but very weak to Vibrations? Vibration is semi-elemental, I guess, being it can accompany a an explosion (fire-like effect) or sound (thunder-like effect.) Attacks which specifically create vibrations would be particularly grueling. Basically, if I were to make a chart...

Vibration-type +100% damage
Ballistic-type -50% Damage
Piercing Type +25% damage *
Slashing Type +25% damage *
Bludgeoning Type -25%

*Chance of getting stuck, active hold (may turn into Debuff later for concentration-free bonus)

The weaknesses outweigh the resistances 2:1, for the sake of easy balancing.

RE: Quick Questions - Handsome Jack - 04-10-2017

No. You're free to roleplay as being "weak" to vibrations, if you'd like, but it'll have 0 mechanical effect. Being more resistant to other forms of damage is also a no-no.

RE: Quick Questions - Jack Darby - 04-10-2017

Can two primes split the price on an item?

RE: Quick Questions - Handsome Jack - 04-10-2017

They sure can. Particularly useful for Base related things.

RE: Quick Questions - Alex Mercer - 04-10-2017

What all can that apply for, exactly? Just curious.

RE: Quick Questions - Handsome Jack - 04-10-2017

Pretty much anything, but I'd highly suggest clearing any purchases with a Staffmember before splitting the cost, just to be safe.

RE: Quick Questions - homin-Ratione - 04-11-2017

What kind of soldiers/city guard would Costa de la Sol have? Stormtroopers?

RE: Quick Questions - Tearen Wover - 04-11-2017

Yeah, there's precedent for light Stormtrooper patrols in the central city and the shipping district/docks.

Otherwise, small municipal police handle less important precincts around the town, such as the residential districts.

RE: Quick Questions - Handsome Jack - 04-11-2017

To add upon what Tearen said, while Stormtroopers have a light presence (mostly protecting Imperial trade), Del Sol is mostly defended by the Imperial Navy. Which is much like the One Piece Marines, though more technilogically advanced. They have a heavier presence in Del Sol than even on the waters of the Deeps, since it's their base of operations.

RE: Quick Questions - Gaston - 04-11-2017

Can a Secondary be pulled from an unrelated media to the character, provided that they are not summoned, but met in the Omniverse?

RE: Quick Questions - Handsome Jack - 04-11-2017

If you meet an unrelated Secondary while here, you CAN summon them yourself. However... this is not an excuse to game the system by conveniently and inexplicably meeting Secondaries that are not part of your canon just so you can get around the rules of only pulling from your own universe. If a staffmember feels like you're abusing this option, you'll likely be penalized in some form.

RE: Quick Questions - Broly - 04-11-2017

I thought Secondaries were pretty much free game. It was NPC Prime's we couldn't take from other than our own canon?

RE: Quick Questions - Handsome Jack - 04-11-2017

Not really. Secondaries still follow NPC rules. In fact, they're a bit more stringent, since it'd make 0 sense for Broly (for example) to summon He-Man as a Secondary.

RE: Quick Questions - Dell Conagher - 04-12-2017

Could someone point me in the general direction of other quest threads for the There Are No Lines quest?

Here's one Pride is doing right now.

Edit: there's literally two on the front page, man. Including the one I just linked to. It took zero effort to find them.

RE: Quick Questions - Jack Darby - 04-12-2017

Can you redo an NPC Prime you submitted?

RE: Quick Questions - Handsome Jack - 04-13-2017

If it has not yet been approved. Maybe even of you haven't yet used it. After it's already become established, you'll be kinda stuck.

RE: Quick Questions - Alex Mercer - 04-13-2017

Odd question: Zenith is just a blob. Come to find out recently, he needs Shapeshifting or Malleability to really be a squishy blob. My question is, does Zenith need Shapeshifting to say that its Fused form looks different depending on each secondary? Or that it's fused form with a secondary is not just a blob? Or does Fusion allow it to appear different during said fusion?
