RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Jade Harley - 01-14-2018 (01-12-2018, 11:20 AM)Amaterasu Wrote: So, I only just got the memo that you can choose this by donating: First question: The level-specific requirement for unlocking a fourth character is level 6 or above for all three of your characters. So, if you donated to have that requirement reduced by one character level, it is sufficient for all three to be at level 5 or above. You just got to have each character be at least level 5. Second question: Right now, it looks like the 80k OM total requirement remains the same. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Erik Vrell - 01-18-2018 Can you purchase the same teleporter twice or more to get multiple locations on it? RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - ElFailzalot - 01-18-2018 (01-18-2018, 07:19 PM)Erik Vrell Wrote: Can you purchase the same teleporter twice or more to get multiple locations on it? The teleporter doesn't send you to a specific location, just drops you off at a random location within the target verse. So you could get multiples of it if you wanted, but it wouldn't serve any purpose. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Gaston - 01-18-2018 You can purchase multiple teleporters, as people have before. You can probably flavour this as one teleporter going to different places, but mechanically it'd still be multiple items. Edit: Beat to it and probably misunderstood the question. Apologies. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Erik Vrell - 01-18-2018 (01-18-2018, 07:21 PM)ElFailzalot Wrote:(01-18-2018, 07:19 PM)Erik Vrell Wrote: Can you purchase the same teleporter twice or more to get multiple locations on it? I'm referring more to the fact that each teleporter is bound to a single verse. Edit: Gaston got it when I was replying. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Gaston - 01-18-2018 To that I'd say my response is still accurate that it'd be flavour and mechanically the same as multiple teleporters. Ah, yes, well. My apologies. In such a case, you can either buy multiple teleporters, each one going to a different verse, or only buy one and pay the cost for each verse you want it to teleport you to -- at least I don't see why you couldn't. Someone with a darker blue name can correct if I'm mistaken. Beat me to it, you did. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Marisa Kirisame - 01-18-2018 So what happens if a fusion or whatever goes over 20 stat points? would it hard cap at 20 in the respective stat? RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 01-18-2018 Any stat (Fusion or no) can go over 20. We just don't list past there because it's so rare it hasn't even happened yet. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Revan Noctis - 01-23-2018 Is there any benefit other than OM gain to completing more than one void quest? RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Dane Regan - 01-23-2018 @Revan: Besides meeting Omni again? No. I guess if you really wanted access the the Void (for the second time) and didn't want to use a warp whistle, maybe. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 01-23-2018 Actually, the Void can be used as a "back door" to other Verses, so... yeah. If you're looking to sneak into, say, Coruscant, that can be a benefit right there. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Amaterasu - 01-24-2018 On with the Void questions... if someone exits the Void through a portal, would they end up at the "destination" of that verse's Void Quest? (e.g. someone coming out at the Vasty Deep Gate would end up on an island in the furthest reaches of the Deeps, "behind" the Kraken's lair?) And how (if at all) does exiting through a Void Gate to which you don't have the Void Quest done yet effect that verse's Void Quest? You don't automatically unlock that second Gate too, do you? RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 01-24-2018 From the looks of it, there's only a few entrances, but infinite exits. So, if you wanted, you COULD exit behind the Kraken. You'll still need to defeat it if you plan on leaving alive, however. You don't get free completions. You can exit the Void to literally anywhere you want. It doesn't hafta be that Verse's Void gate. It can be Palp's bathroom. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Strazio Rockwell - 01-24-2018 Well that raises a question. Does the PC choose where they're spit out or is it just the writer choosing and it appears random to the character? Because if it is the former that means you could use the void to sneak into someone's base/ a highly defended area without actually have to go through said defences. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Cirno - 01-24-2018 In the Underverse there is a quest to get a sort of reverse banishment circle. Like does it allow a prime to make a reverse banishment circle at any time they wish (may have to pay for it) if they do said quest? RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Jade Harley - 01-24-2018 (01-24-2018, 04:03 PM)Strazio Rockwell Wrote: Well that raises a question. Does the PC choose where they're spit out or is it just the writer choosing and it appears random to the character? Well, I don't think it matters either way if it's the PC or the writer choosing. It's probably just like when your prime is in the Nexus, they can seek out a particular gate or discover one at random (Note the word count/dice-rolling mentions in the Void Information thread for how to locate gates.) It's just more confusing due to the mind-breaking layout of the Void. Also, about WHERE the Void sends Primes in any one Verse, here's some info from the Travel section of the Rules: Quote:Once you've 'unlocked' a Void Gate, you can add it to your roster and travel back there to access the Void in the future. As the Void dumps you into a random location in each Verse, you would still need to do other Void quests to unlock additional gates. So, basically, your Prime couldn't decide exactly where the Void would place them in a Verse. This prevents people from completing one Void quest and then appearing beside the Void gate in another Verse, thus uncovering the location of two Void gates with one quest. It would technically be up to the writer (you), but staff would probably still stop someone from having the Void "conveniently" drop them into someone's base. That would just be unsporting. You must complete an escape quest every time you are sent to the Underverse and want to leave. It's just easier to escape once you've already done it once before, like a reduced word count or something like that. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Daniel - 01-24-2018 @cirno - There's no reverse banishment circle. But you can complete one of the quests that will allow you to leave the Underverse. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - James Knight - 01-24-2018 Is there any specific IC way one could give another character permission to copy your moves without the need for Mimic? RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 01-24-2018 They could just teach ya how to do it. The old-fashioned way. |
