We gonna do a 7v7 oooor is it gonna split off into a couple of 2v2's and 1v1's or 3v3 and 4v4 or? Also word limit and time limit and damage and random meter thing yeah?

Crazy idea here... but, personally, I would like to see some sort of elimination thing happen... Maybe after each round someone gets eliminated?
That's actually a really kickass idea.

Only thing I'd be worried about is that there isn't a whole lot of reason to SUPER EXCEL, so long as you're confident you aren't on the bottom?

[22:55:09] Steve (Tart): In my opinion, yeah. But they'd like a verdict.
[22:55:16] Om (gregni) Harris: that's my verdict

Can I ask why? Is it indeed that the teleportor would take too much time in order to summon before use?

Just trying to understand for the future.
Yeah.

I'm not sure if that makes us actual combatants or not.
I don't think so. I'll move you into your own catagory of "around but not DIRECTLY involved"? Does that sound good to you?

As it stands with 14 people and the 2 or 3 day per person and 3 rounds it would take a LONG time

JUDGE NOTE: I like this idea. And on that note I have this to say: Each round, lowest scorer gets eliminated (in whatever way is fiting to the remaining combatants), all others receive various injuries according to their score that round.

The better you do, the less fucked up you get, and the easier it is to KEEP doing good. That's incentive to excel, I think. :frog:

I personally like this idea. Good work, Sas

Just curious, but what would happen if two or more fighters tie in scores? Do they BOTH get eliminated or?

Re: Legacy & War [Base Assault; LAW vs. New Babylon] Discuss - Gilgamesh - 11-16-2015

There's 3 rounds so only 3 people get eliminated for the fight and then the judge judges?

or is it until the last person or group?

If the two that tied happened to tie for last place, then it would come down to a contest of stats, sp use, already present injuries, and logic. Or personal decision between the two tied scorers.

No one ever said fights could only be 3 rounds. Confusedhh:

But however many rounds you all decide on, each side will receive a penalty to their overall score for each member that was eliminated.

Or at least that's my current working idea for how to judge it.

Re: Legacy & War [Base Assault; LAW vs. New Babylon] Discuss - Gilgamesh - 11-16-2015

I really like this idea but maybe multiple people die each round so it doesn't take multiple months

Re: Legacy & War [Base Assault; LAW vs. New Babylon] Discuss - Roger Smith - 11-16-2015

There really is no way to make this go any faster unfortunately. Aside from like super strict time limits or something.

*Fist Bumps*

Even if multiple people have to be eliminated each round, I still like the idea of a Royal Rumble elimination thing. xD

Oh and please, dear god, no strict deadlines. I am the suck at making those. I vote for NO deadline at all. =/

Okay I'm gonna contribute to this now, but, I agree with the no deadline thing, or at least make it at least a week, or... something like that.

Even to my enemies, and especially my comrades, I want everybody here to have enough thought to do their absolute best work. This is gonna go down in the Omniverse's history, I swear on it!

Re: Legacy & War [Base Assault; LAW vs. New Babylon] Discuss - Gilgamesh - 11-16-2015

One round with 2 days each leads to 1 month...I would like to finish this fight eventually so I'd like a little deadline

Re: Legacy & War [Base Assault; LAW vs. New Babylon] Discuss - Illidan Stormrage - 11-16-2015

Im with Gil. It doesnt have to be super strict, but no limit at all means this WILL drag for probably months.

Orion Wrote:Im with Gil. It doesnt have to be super strict, but no limit at all means this WILL drag for probably months.

...Okay yeah actually now that I think about it, no time limit seems a biiit silly with how big this is, but I'd say like... 4 days at least, a week at most would be good?

Re: Legacy & War [Base Assault; LAW vs. New Babylon] Discuss - Tom Marvolo Riddle - 11-16-2015

How about a post and a half elimination round. Group characters in a 1x1. Everyone posts all at once max 1000 words. They then get 500 words to counter the opponent's initial post. Winner of that takes all. That'll cut the numbers down by half. Those who remain fight a normal combat in a massive group.

On a mount, I could theoretically travel the Nexus in 10min. >_> *cough*

Re: Legacy & War [Base Assault; LAW vs. New Babylon] Discuss - Gilgamesh - 11-16-2015

I would be ok with 4 days max

HI! after reading what was written in this thread, I have a few comments to feedback. First, and perhaps most important

sasuke Wrote:*fist bump*

Sas you so cool *fist bump even though it wasn't directed at me*

Deadpool Wrote:On a mount, I could theoretically travel the Nexus in 10min. >_> *cough*
Yeah but the portals can take up to months to compensate for the transport. I hear you DP. And I'd love your spandex ass to be here.

Lastly a matter of time, while it does seem like assigning a time limit is infringing, I've fought once before without a time limit, and it was actually MORE time consuming. I personally also think it is more accurate to speculate that a person's skill can be measured partially in what they can achieve in a certain amount of time.

I think that deciding the time limit, because there are so many people involved in this fight should rule on a vote. And then, if there is a tie, we flip a coin. Simple and effective.

Secondly, I raise the suggestion that we break it into two groups, as if we had two fights going on at once it would make it MUCH easier on most of those involved. Not because of pvp numbers (which you can raise or refute on this suggestion), but if one person is having difficulty posting on the holidays, and the other person posts fine, I would hate to have one entire fight be postponed, or a penalty be delivered. It is a swift manner to fight, but perhaps not more effective. I would be fine it spanning a month, but it DOES have to do with the time issue. No one wants their characters to be "held up" for a long amount of time, especially those like Demmy, Tom, and Nealaphh who aren't directly fighting, but ARE directly involved. (Though they may choose to dip out before the fight ends).

Edit: the vote suggestion was via poll.
