RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 11-21-2017 Power-Ups can be used via multiple Alternate Forms. Cheaper than buying a new Powered-Up Form for every Alternate Form. It all depends on your character. No Alternate Form? Powered Up Forms work well. 2 or 3 Alternate Forms? Power-Ups are more cost effective. That's all from a mechanical point of view, of course. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - PepsiYuuka - 11-21-2017 This has been discussed several times- it is because Power Ups can be used in Alt Forms as well as the base form of your character, while Powered Up Forms cannot be used with anything else. This means that while a Powered Up Form may be better for a character without any Alternate Forms, it is on the whole cheaper to buy Power Ups combined with Alternate Forms if you want a wider variety of stat spreads. There are pros and cons to either method. And yes, that would be fine, as long as no stat exceeds half of your maximum stat points (rounded down). eta: damn u cell and being helpful slightly faster than me (shakes fist) RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Dane Regan - 11-22-2017 @Eva: There was actually a thread about this a while a go that should answer your question. http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=7625&highlight=Transformations RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Cell - 11-22-2017 EDIT: Disregard. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Schwi Dola - 11-22-2017 What if someone uses a move, even a super move, that affects internal organs or blood on someone that explicitly has neither? I was thinking how my move creation that turns one into a Prinny, that person would also no longer have internal organs or blood. The body is literally skin deep, inside is their soul and hot air. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 11-22-2017 It would affect the "soul" and "hot air" as though it were normal organs or blood. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Schwi Dola - 11-22-2017 That would be inappropriately playing the character. Like playing a skeleton character as though it had organs or blood. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - 13-Jzall - 11-22-2017 O M N I P H Y S I C S RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Blink - 11-22-2017 Yea, what Cell and 13 said. No matter how you write it creatively, from a game standpoint it still has the same effect in terms of damaging or debuffing or whatever. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Marisa Kirisame - 11-23-2017 What is the stance with the dalarian library for people borrowing the books they have. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 11-23-2017 Go for it. They might be irkes if you don't return it in a timely manner, however. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Marisa Kirisame - 11-23-2017 If a character has a book on attacks from other character they wrote and summoned here would it not have the information from the other people or would it be fully completed? RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - The Humble Sage - 11-23-2017 You're gonna need to explain that one a little better, your character has a book in their canon that details attacks from other characters and you are asking how that would work here in the Omniverse? If that's what you're saying I would recommend buying Insight or some other similar power to represent that knowledge. If that's not it could you clarify the question? RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Cell - 11-24-2017 Is Mimic required to buy Moves of other characters that I've seen? ie. can I write-fluff away Koola learning a Move he's seen as long as I've purchased it? I'm not saying Koola could use the Move after seeing it WITHOUT purchasing it. Eg. if Koola saw Enel shoot lightning out his fingers, Koola would have some way to 'learn' it, but he wouldn't be able to perform it until I purchased it as a Move. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - King Ghidorah - 11-24-2017 Mimic would not be required for purchasing a move you've seen elsewhere - though you would still need the prerequisite powers and/or proficiencies of course. Its utility is more in-the-fight. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Marisa Kirisame - 11-24-2017 (11-23-2017, 09:51 PM)Marisa Kirisame Wrote: If a character has a book on attacks from other character they wrote and summoned here would it not have the information from the other people or would it be fully completed? What mean is that marisa has a book that talks about the spell cards from other people in gensokyo. Would she be able to summon it and look at it to help her in certain cases? (like if it talked about yuuka's spell cards it would talk about the master spark as a example.) RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 11-24-2017 You would need Insight, but sure. It'd just be a fluff explanation of how Insight works for you. Alternatively, if the person you're writing with/fighting is ok with you knowing things about them like this, you can forgo Insight in those particular cases. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - James Knight - 11-25-2017 WIP Apps are allowed, right? RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 11-25-2017 Yes. RE: Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP) - James Knight - 11-26-2017 Another question that came to mind, relating to the "4th Wall" rule, and to potential future ideas for the character I was working on. If a character has a smart phone, can it be used to, with the addition of Omnilium "project" certain videos out, as real things as a move, or moves of sorts? |
