Re: Official Move Approval III - Roger Smith - 11-20-2015

Gamzee Makara Wrote:Super Atomic Double Juggalo Backbreaker (Tier 1 Super Attack) - Gamzee makes a lunge for his opponent from behind, (how he gets behind is dependent of the situation and written differently every time of course) wrapping his arms around the poor soul's waist. Before the target can blink, the clown turns his/her world upside down in a vicious suplex. As his enemy's head/neck crashes into the ground, Gamzee uses this momentum to follow through with one more wrestling throw, this time launching both himself and his unlucky foe into the air before crashing back to earth in a similar fashion as before. During this entire display, the juggalo begins to channel Rage Aspect energy and mix it internally with his innate Subjugglator powers. Upon impact of the second dive, the troll releases this energy all at once in a rainbow colored explosion, similar to that of a large mixed bundle of fireworks, centered around the fulcrum of impact. The explosion is roughly 10 meters in diameter. Cosmetically, the resulting smoke and aroma given off from this rage-splosion smells suspiciously like fruity soda. (600 OM Requires Physical Strength Proficiency and Area Attack Proficiency,)

Lightning Aura - I was thinking of having multiple uses for this. Gamzee stands still for four seconds (would three be unbalanced?) to generate his Rage Aspect Lightning, and when the lightning is crawling across his body, he could do three things: charge this energy into a lightning spear to be thrown in his hands, coat his juggling clubs with this energy, ooooorrrr overcharge the lightning to create an electrical explosion, centered around himself. All of the lightning is a deep, pulsating violet.

The Lightning Spear is a strange projectile that Gamzee throws like a javelin. The spear itself is one meter long and appears as a solid spear of violet lightning. It erupts in a small shower of sparks upon contact with a foreign surface, excluding organic material(i.e. skin or fur) which it punctures as a regular spear would before also violently blowing up in another spark shower that doesn't extend beyond roughly 2/3 of a meter. The downside is of course that the AoE of the sparks is pretty small, and the sparks themselves don't actually do or hurt that much unless Gamzee can actually hit his target. Getting hit with the spear is similar to being pierced by a regular spear, except upon contact the projectile is white hot. It's plasma, after all. The sparks burn just as hot, but would do little more than singe a little skin off unless contact is made with an open wound. That shit will hurt. The whole experience is like beings stabbed with a fire poker that has been left in the fireplace for a way too long time. It's hotter than it should be. The sparks? Ever burn your hand with a sparkler? Those little fireworks things? Think about that but about 4 times as ouch.

As the electricity channels into his favorite weapons, the clubs become wrapped up lightning as if it were living barbed wire. The lightning dissipates on contact with any surface, so if he misses, then that's pretty much it for that club. If he manages to land a hit on his opponent with a club coiled with lightning, it is similar to being struck with an electric stun baton or taser. Coined as Stun Clubs, Gamzee can only charge his clubs once per fight, as continued use degrades the integrity and solidarity of his pins.

The Overcharge is also rather contained, and is only about 3 meters in diameter, with Gamzee at the center. It is similar to an electrically caused combustion or explosion. It is...violent, to say the least. While fairly devastating to any close range opponents, it also happens to damage Gamzee. The explosion singes and burns his skin, but not enough to leave scars. It can be pretty exhausting and often after triggering the blast, the clown must take a moment to breathe and regain his senses.

(900 OM for three different purposes, requires Ranged Proficiency, Debuff Proficiency(For the Stun Clubs), and Area Attack Proficiency)

Super Atomic Double Juggalo Backbreaker -- OH DEAR GOD WHy. Approved, yo.

Lightning Aura -- At its base it looks good, but some things about each specific application. also, three seconds would be good in my eyes for the Lightning Spear and Stun Clubs portion, while the Overcharge I would probably go with four seconds, just to indicate the punch I assume it's supposed to pack.
Lightning Spear -- Once its thrown, how fast does it travel? And what is its range before it loses its punch?
Stun Clubs -- What actual effect does this confer? Assuming it's some sort of debilitating stun effect, based on the name and Debuff Proficiency, but gonna need an actual mechanic for how it works, along with how generally effective it is/what stats it relies on and generally how long it lasts.
The Overcharge -- Kind of a small radius for an explosion, but I don't see any issue with it.

Re: Official Move Approval III - Gildarts - 11-20-2015

Quote:Crash and Burn Cost: 800 OM (requires ranged/physical strength)

Tier 1 Super Move (Defensive: Crash and Disassembly Magic) - 2 SP

In this defensive Super Move, Gildarts has a powerful attack aimed towards him and it is propelling through the air. It seems as though it is inevitable that the massive energy will collide with him and he readies himself in an avid stance.

Gildarts extends a palm outward and releases his disassembly magic into what becomes a white ‘X’ in the face of the oncoming magic. (If it helps you to picture it, the X is like a shield or barrier.) As his netted white energy intercepts the attack aimed at Gildarts, his magic disperses through the oncoming magic that stagnates the attack before it becomes many cubes in the air and the attack is obliterated all together.

Drawbacks: Because this is a defensive move I didn’t want the major drawback to be speed or charge up time, after-all, if he doesn’t have time to deploy it it’s pointless. The massive drawback is aim and focus. Gildarts must stand entirely still. If he attempts to dodge another attack that is oncoming while he has actively released the defensive super move, the wave of energy will become disfigured and will not be an effective defense. The opponent’s move that has stagnated is converting into separating the magic and Gildarts is matching its power, suddenly he is unable to do so as his focus has been disrupted. With his concentration completely gone the opponent’s move will hit him head on and at the close distance there would be no time to run or dodge.

Another drawback is that the opponent’s intercepted magic does not loose its properties, so if it were a move with a debuff it could still potentially pose as a hazard to Gildarts.

Primary function: Defensive move that is usually used on an abiotic target and intentionally disrupts oncoming attacks. Please note that because this works similarly to a shield, it would respectively intercept multiple projectile beams if the targeted location was within the same area as the cast spell and the interception times were not too far apart (such as a rapid weapon) because the move stagnates to absorb and obliterate the power it has crossed with, it would include an attack with similarly aimed multiple projectiles.

This is my tier one defensive supermove, I'd like to replicate it so it falls under tier two please.

cost is 1200 i believe

Re: Official Move Approval III - Demetri Malius - 11-20-2015

Split Tactics(Tier 1 Utility Supermove - 600)
By focusing on his own essence for ten seconds, not taking time to attack or defend(but can still move), Demetri can split his presence into 5 different bodies(including himself) for up to 30 seconds. These clones are used to co fuse the enemy and allow follow up attacks or allow Demetri to escape. The clones are either aggressive or defensive. If defensive, they will all attempt to leave their pursuer's sight, prioritizing mobility above all else. This forces enemies to gamble on a clone in order to catch the thief, or allow him to gain a head start in his escape. If aggressive, clones will swarm enemies, but not directly attack. They also have little durability, and can be destroyed with a well placed strike.

Changed to 30 seconds.

Changes to Super Move costs and such, as of this post a while back, would actually price this at 800 as a Tier 2.

That said, are you just upgrading this to a Tier 2, or you wanna Tier 1 and a Tier 2 version of it? You're good to go either way, just for clarity purposes.

Just pointing out because of necessity that on the aggressive side of things, the clones wouldn't do very much damage at all. Less than Demetri himself, at any rate, as this isn't a move designed for attacking.

One further caveat: those with Enhanced Senses/Insight and TEC higher than yours may be able to sniff out the real you. With that in mind, you're approveded.

Re: Official Move Approval III - Demetri Malius - 11-20-2015

I know, I thought I stated they don't do any damage? Basically the same as deception. But higher scale.. I'll edit it in

Re: Official Move Approval III - Gilgamesh - 11-20-2015

Alexyana Wrote:
Gilgamesh Wrote:
Alexyana Wrote:Siege Throw - 600?
Requires Ranged Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency. Possibly Debuff Proficiency as well?

Alexyana slams her hands forward, digging them into the ground, and pulls out a large boulder, or a chunk of ground (they have the same effect and are just cosmetically different), and throws it at her opponent. Pulling out an object takes ca. 4 seconds, throwing it takes an additional 2 seconds. Before throwing Alexyana is able to move around with the object in hand to prepare her throw, though only at a slow walking speed. She needs both hands to hold the item, if she uses them for anything else she will drop the projectile.
Alexyana is not too accurate when throwing, and with increasing distance grows increasingly likely to miss her attack entirely (and the throw can be dodged more easily). At max range most opponents can easily just move out of the way if she were to aim right. Though the projectile might shatter on impact, its pieces are too weak to do any damage to anything or anybody.
Alternatively, Alexyana grabs her opponent directly (usually by a limb) and throws them with huge strength, typically aiming for solid objects in the environment. Opponents that have Flight, Master Acrobat or some other abilities, can negate the effects completely provided that they can recover in time. The farther away they fly, the lighter the final impact will be.

Max. Projectile Size: Ca. 2,7 x 1,6m. Can be smaller. (for reference, a 2-seater car from the Smart brand is about that size)
Execution Time: 4s ("load" projectile) + 2s (throw projectile)
Max. Weight: 700kg
Max. Distance: 200m
Flight Speed: Ca. 20m/s

Does the rock explode if it hits people as well or just like walls and stuff? If it's just the walls then it'll be another 300. Also the "accuracy" heavily depends on your TEC and you have a 1 so I wouldn't describe it as very accurate but hurts a lot.

Lastly, grappling itself does not cost a move slot so that's basically free along with the "Physical Proficiency." Unless tossing them does something that I'm not aware of then it should be free unless you want to add a stun or something to it.

Highlighting the parts where I am changing stuff - I'll remove the "shattering" part to keep the move cheap (though I'm keeping Area attack, considering how big the projectile is).
And throwing her opponent is just that - she throws them, no tricks involved. Debuff Prof is in there by the way, as I'm not sure if throwing someone would be a lingering thing, and I have Debuff proficiency anyway. I'd still like to incorporate throwing her opponent into the move though, as physical/ranged prof without moves is relatively weak and I don't know if Alexyana could throw her opponent 200m with just that.

You have 5 ATK...you can toss a person VERY far without any sort of move. Your rock move is approved at 300 OM. If you still want a move to toss a person put up another move in here. I just don't want you to waste 300 OM for something you could already do

Xavier Wrote:Unburden – 300 OM (Requires Physical Strength)
Focusing for 5 seconds he surges every part of his body, using just pure strength to break out of what ever strong entanglement or snare he is currently under. This allows him to break out of being bound or even grappled as he uses this technique to escape those situations. He can however use this only three times per fight he's involved in.

[*]Siphon – 300 OM (Requires Physical Strength)
Swiping his hand towards his intended target he pulls and rips into his victim with a sweeping strike, leaving claw like lacerations capable of leaving heavy damage thanks to it being a strong attack. He can only however use this technique once every other post/round.

don't know if this will work but I'll try it anyways lol

You're first move you kinda will already do depending on the move. I'm not sure you'll need this since most debuffs are not more than 5 seconds. If you still want a move could you please change from "three times" to a fatigue factor instead

For your second move you're claws will do just fine(if you have claws. If not make a move called claws). You'll only need a move for this if it has a different effect than a normal weapon or a charge mechanic

Re: Official Move Approval III - Knight Artorias - 11-21-2015

Greatsword of Artorias (300)
A two-handed greatsword roughly six feet in length and three inches wide at its widest point along the blade and tapering down as it approaches the tip. The sword is ornately engraved and decorated, though the craftsmanship still holds up well against the abuse brought on in battle. It is a well-rounded weapon that finds a good medium between speed and raw power.

Isn't this the move that was in your joining app? It's already approved.

I thought it would be, but I don't like to assume anything.

Re: Official Move Approval III - Yu Kanda - 11-21-2015

Would like to request you look back a few pages and take a look at the moves i submitted for stewie....reposted them with minor adjustments and explenation when guu looked them over.

It seems they were forgotten during tom's move spam xD

Full metal Stewie 300 OM
Stewie presses a panicbutton on his belt. Once this is done a hard metal alloy covers his entire body and anything he holds on to, nothing larger than a single normal sized person. Stewie is still able to see yet cannot move or speak. He will be a heavy solid object untill stewie removes the alloy himself. He uses this move to defend himself against heat, cold, wind or attacks.  It takes a second to get covered in the alloy himself...if he holds on to a larger object or a person this takes 4 seconds. Removing it takes the same amount of time.( OOC note, its a defensive move to mitigate damage if it makes sense icly ).

Sounds like it would require Area Shield Proficiency. Also, this sounds like it would serve better as a transformation, but eh, not my call in that part.

Quote:Tight grip 300 OM
On stewie's command his shoes ancher themselves into the ground using metalic claws. These claws take 1 second to ancher themselves. Making him have a strong footing. He may also use this to walk up walls ( he cannot run up walls). using these claws will slow him down immensely if he decides to walk with them.

Add a caveat about this move slowing him down overall and not just when he's walking up walls. Also, how long does it take him to activate and deactivate this?

In the quote i have rewritten the moves, i have bought Area Shield Proficiency for Full metal stewie, this wont be a transformation but a normal defense move, got allot better things planned for him Muahaha.

I hope everything is in order now ?

What is the purpose of grabbing onto an object as Full Metal? Does it slow the other person down or are you carried with them? Other than that it seems fine.

Tight Grip is approved

Gilgamesh Wrote:What is the purpose of grabbing onto an object as Full Metal? Does it slow the other person down or are you carried with them? Other than that it seems fine.

Tight Grip is approved

The purpose is to help another person out if he's in danger. For example someone cast a strong wind attack towards Stewie and a companion. He touches his companion and both get covered in the metal alloy. They are metal statues untill stewie cancels it. They cannot move or attack in this form but it will provide protection against the wind attack.

Re: Official Move Approval III - Gilgamesh - 11-21-2015

Oh shit I did not see the "anything he holds on to" my bad. Put on there "any willing thing he touches" so that enemies don't get encompassed with that and would seem a little unfair.

With that condition- Approved at 600 OM with Area proficiency required. (One function for yourself and the other for an ally.)

P.S. if you want to have it used on enemies as well just reput it in here with some caveats

It was never intended to be used offensively Wink So i agree with the 600 OM cost and the proficiency ( which i already purchased ) Ty for approving.

Re: Official Move Approval III - The Rogue - 11-22-2015

Magically deep pockets: Fodder

The two inner pockets of Connor's trench coat (one on each side), are four inches wide and seem to have a depth of 5 inches. He can store anything in the pockets without feeling the weight of the items as long as the item can fit in the entrance.

NOTE: This never happened in his universe, only after wishing he could store more stuff here he will discover that his jacket can do this

HandPad: Explaination of his Dataverse device, communicator, and Invisibility.

A cell phone like device that is held within the second layer of the users skin. By touching their thumb and middle finger the user turns on a holoscreen that is also the devices GUI. Connor programmed a second function which he activates by touching his pointer finger and thumb together, this turns him invisible.

Both good. Please read Gilgamesh's first move, because the same restrictions apply to all 'Bag of Holding'-type non-moves, okay?

For the Handpad, remember that the standard rules of Stealth still apply.

Re: Official Move Approval III - Tom Marvolo Riddle - 11-22-2015

Connor reminded me I wanted a similar move for a while now and it would perhaps be useful in the upcoming days and it will be a good lead in when I finally purchase a vault. This one however I intend to pay for asap:

Manifold [Reveraplicio]
Cost: 300 Om
Requires: N/A
[Seponum] To Banish; [Repetos] To recall
The Manifold spell allows the caster to tear an access into a dimensional fold of reality capable of holding and storing any number of items and then later retrieve them elsewhere as needed; even after their death and subsequent revival. Unfortunately however these pocket universes are quite fragile, and due to their metaphysical weight, any Artefacts hidden away will fall through into reality near the caster’s corpse while other items would remain protected.

Move Approval III: Shadow Clone Jutsu - Naruto Uzumaki - 11-22-2015

Shadow Clone Jutsu - (Requires Physical Strength, Ranged, and Remote Control Proficiency) Costs 600

The signature jutsu of the orange ninja. Naruto creates up to 5 shadow clones to aid him in battle. Whenever clones are created, Naruto must evenly divide his chakra among them. Because of this, the clones only have a fraction of his power. Each clone is capable of independent thought, and is capable of doing their own jutsu. Whenever a clone is dispelled (by force or otherwise) the knowledge and memories that the clone gained is transferred to the main Naruto.

These clones are virtually indistinguishable from the original, but for the sake of balance we'll say those with Insight can determine the original after limit for full analysis + 1 minute. After the first analysis of the move, it will only take 30 seconds to spot the original for each group of clones summoned.

The drawback to these clones is that they disappear after one good hit, as well as feel the pain the original feels to some extent. For balance reasons, we'll have a limit of 5 uses per battle.

Re: Official Move Approval III - Gilgamesh - 11-22-2015

Question from the FAQ-

Q: I want to have a 'Body Split' power like in Dragonball Z, or Naruto. I want clones. How do?
A: There are several ways. Firstly, you can create single-minded assists like zombies using regular moves or Super Moves, but they must have a single-purpose, like attacking a target or defending you. You can also use the Remote-Control Proficiency to create clones which are under your direct control. In order to have fully autonomous clones, they must be a proper Assist, governed by the Assist Rules.

Also the speed of insight and other identifying things would depend on their TEC rather than a specific time
