it's not an immediate plan, but it's one I was planning on doing eventially, potentially doing after Dark Data, especially considering I recall Ruby considering it too

I chose this line because Enzo primarily makes me thing about a loss of innocence. He used to be such an eager, bright kid, but then computer nonsense happened and he was forced (but also somewhat chose) to become a grizzled loner with a gun.
So, hook him up with a rookie digimon who wears theit hat backwards for starters, who eventually turns into a giant, huggable teddy bear. Monzaemon can throw down like a mofo, though, and Waru Monzaemon will help remind Enzo that, even though you may end up an edgelord, it's still okay to have soft roots, and enjoy them.

X is kind of a bland character, really. Sort of the classic, humble, dutiful, courageous hero type character who always saves the day and is in bed by nine.
Boring.

Teach that blue pansy how to live it up a little. Dunno if reploids can get drunk, but Hookmon will find a way! Get X into a little trouble, but more importantly, teach the Repliforce stiff how to laugh about it later.

Weiss is a tough girl, but she's been a bit on the down and out, lately. Without Ruby to cheer her up, it's very easy for her to become despondent and resigned to what life throws at her. Indeed, obedience is in her nature, being part of the Schnee aristocracy, but she is also a free spirit.
That said, Schnee spends most of her time justifying herself and standing alone against the forces that try to control her. What she needs is a friend and an advocate to help her tank some of the damage life throws at her.
Being a bit of a fragile speedster, she needs a tank to fight with, too. Armadimon and Rhinomon. Two cheerful, loyal and protective souls who will keep her safe and secure. Once that's complete, she can teach Rhinomon some of her tenacity and go-getter attitude, which leads to Victory Greymon, who is a lot like War Greymon but he has a sword and Schnee has a sword so yeah.
