Re: Move Creation Workshop - Dawnika Snow - 10-06-2015

Exactly.

Re: Move Creation Workshop - SARU - 10-06-2015

Quote:Your character is supposed to be some kind of footballer, right? Well, when he kicks the ball, how far across the field does it go? Football pitches are 105 metres long, according to Wikipedia, so assuming he doesn't constantly kick it off the pitch, it probably should be around the hundred-metre mark, or less.

Well, he is a strong kicker that can easily reach out to that range (depending on the speed of the ball), but for the simplicity's sake for the move, 5 to 10 meters would be the max peak.

Re: Move Creation Workshop - Demetri Malius - 10-06-2015

Kinda want some critique on this:

Deception(300 Requires Stealth, ???)Demetri can summon a clone in his place while simultaneously using stealth. This creates the illusion that Demetri is continuing whatever action he is doing, whether it be standing, attacking, or defending, but the clone CANNOT react to its environment, meaning that it cannot deal damage and passes through enemies unharmed, and vice versa. Once it has finished its action(or maybe upon being attacked, tis where the critique comes in), the clone dissapears, and breaks Demetri's stealth. It is mostly used to decieve the enemy, creating an opening for attack or for drawing away enemy fire. The clone usually lasts for around 5 seconds.

(As i was writing i just realized, its basically zero's ability from borderlands 2)

Re: Move Creation Workshop - Illidan Stormrage - 10-06-2015

Wondering if this would work:

Subjugation - Orion floods specially tweaked ki throughout his nervous system, effectively neutralising his sense of touch. This also manifests in an ability to ignore pain that is delivered to him either before or after the ability is activated. It is a draining technique, and while it can be sustained at a thirsty energy cost (about 30 seconds at a time, which then makes it unavailable for some time), Orion normally uses it in small bursts to block out disabling pain or to prepare for an incoming, unblockable hit. This only blocks pain; this does not nullify fatal injuries, nor protects him from them while active.

Wouldn't this basically be a temporary Survival?

Re: Move Creation Workshop - Illidan Stormrage - 10-06-2015

Not exactly. If he were to be decapitated, have his heart impaled, etc. he would still die. This just stops him from feeling the damage from attacks for its duration; the pain exists both before and after Subjugation is used.

I almost wonder if you need a move for this at all? If it's not preventing damage, you're just roleplaying how Orion reacts to it. It's not TECHNICALLY doing anything more than changing the RP.

Re: Move Creation Workshop - Illidan Stormrage - 10-06-2015

I almost agree with you, but say Orion had his arm broken. He could activate this to ignore the pain and fight for, at the most, another thirty seconds without being affected by it (other than not being able to use one arm). Normally I wouldn't expect to be allowed to do that in a fight.

Re: Move Creation Workshop - Thaal Sinestro - 10-06-2015

Tier 1 Power-Up – Adds 5 stats – 1 SP per post – 1000 OM
"Battle Mode"

ATK +2
DEF +2
SPD +1
TEC N/A

Sinestro usually doesn't use much of his ring's energy, but when he fights he almost always cranks up the energy usage. If the ring's Power (SP) burns out, it has to shut down the ring until it can be recharged.

I mean, his arm is still functionally broken, so it not hurting is more of a fluff thing than anything else. If he can still use his arm while it's broken, then it's not like, MANGLED anyways.

Re: Move Creation Workshop - Illidan Stormrage - 10-06-2015

Perhaps, but where do you draw the line? At what point is ignoring damage in a fight believable or fair?

Also that looks fine. That'll get approved easy.

Situational, man. I just don't see your move proposal FUNCTIONALLY doing anything, that's all. People ignore pain in this all the time. Shit, there aren people who literally DON'T FEEL PAIN, so whatever at this point lol

The way this is worded sounds awfully like a self buff, which we don't really do, you could always purchase survival and have this as a role play fodder move. (this being the way you role play survival).

The other option is making it a transformation/ power up. You can have this effect and get the stat boost as well.

Wait, you can do that? O.O
I was under the impression that other than cosmetic changes, power-ups were for nothing more than editing your stats. So it's actually possible to get another move approved as part of a transformation and skip out on paying the 300 OM you'd normally need for it? Sweet. Tongue

Well, in a sense yes and no, but a power up would give you a significant enough boost that I wouldn't see a problem with allowing someone to role play that effect while using the power up. but only for the duration of said power up.

Of course, if it starts being abused, we will stop it.

Re: Move Creation Workshop - Illidan Stormrage - 10-06-2015

Fair enough. I don't think it is as effective as I thought. Might give it a miss.

Vad did that all the time. Oh the injuries he sustained and the blood he lost.

Re: Move Creation Workshop - SARU - 10-07-2015

Quote:Static Burst (Area Attack, Ranged, Ranged Materialized) (300)
Inspired from Fei's Air Bullet and his own move, being of Shellbit Burst, it is a simple attack that SARU instantaneously creates a ball of static energy between his hands in a rotating fashion. As he tosses it over and kicks it for added power, it creates speeds going much like a bullet, very much five to ten meters in distance, before the ball eventually bursts out in a violent shock, affecting within five feet of the blast radius for moderate damage. The trajectory is from wherever he launches the ball is direct and cannot be manipulated.

Okay. This should help out. Anything else?

Re: Move Creation Workshop - Minato Namikaze - 10-07-2015

Minato Namikaze Wrote:@Specter

1. How large is the ball of energy?
2. Instantaneous creation is generally something that we don't do. However, a few seconds to create this ball of energy between his hands would be fine.
3. What is the maximum distance? How far can it travel before the move dissipates?
4. What is the blast Radius? it's an area attack so it's larger than 3 feet. but what is it's exact radius?

You gave me answers, but these details should be edited into the move
