In Carrefore Dean and Sinestro might be somewhat known. They sort of did a thing there and caused a scene recently.
Word might be spreading through the Dunes to amoungst the bandit/wandering communities as again, they sort of did stuff there too. Dean has killed a fair number of people in the Dunes, though mostly bandits and hired guns. Mostly. >.>
Also Sinestro is technically a Deputy out those parts?
I am not sure if any of that ACTUALLY helps but... maybe?

That actually does. Xehanort is not one to do something without a reason for it, including wandering around aimlessly
Rumors like this put you all on the map (so to speak), and give him reason to investigate if he chooses. as for giving reason to wade waist deep into the glory of the tan sands.. well..... no. The only thing i can think of how he would learn of the place is by learning it first hand, or second hand if from an imperial scout (if they are still in the dunes). I was thinking maybe an npc could direct him to seek out thaal (if he's the deputy) for more in depth information.

We did talk to a bunch of Troopers in Carrefore (the town by the Gate that we stirred up some stuff in) and they know I was with Sinestro and that he was a Deputy from the Town with no name. We did show them a wanted poster from Roland and they were all "You have no jurisdiction here. Go away!"
Basically just read the Thread "Then and now, a tale of two hunters". Everything is in there.

However, me and Orion gonna be making a scene if you wanna be a part of it in some way.
Also, I realized I'd actually also liek to reassign my stats, so helping you out with your Chaos Emerald Story is something I'd be hella interested in.
