RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Desman Black - 08-05-2017 If I fused with someone and I have mimic, after we defused would I know all the proficiencies powers and moves of said someone for the 1 hour time period (because we shared the same mind) or would I only know the ones we used while fused? RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Mark - 08-05-2017 (08-05-2017, 03:11 AM)Desman Black Wrote: If I fused with someone and I have mimic, after we defused would I know all the proficiencies powers and moves of said someone for the 1 hour time period (because we shared the same mind) or would I only know the ones we used while fused? Unless someone wants to override me, I'm going to say yes. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me that you'd share a body with someone but not remember the moves you shared. Tiny correction here, though: you don't get their proficiencies. Mimic just lets you use their powers and their moves without needing the proficiencies. You already have Physical Strength (the only proficiency that you can use without a move), so this doesn't make a difference. Just stating this for anyone else reading this. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Shu - 08-05-2017 Alright, let's see if I can word this right without sounding like a doofus. Also, I tend to be long-winded so please excuse me. So, just to lay some quick background on my character to give a sense of what I want, Shu was able to travel dreams through a dream world akin to the Astral Verse. It had it's share of entities and the like, the most prominent being the source of his electrical abilities. Would I be able to have something like that? Like a pocket-verse of his own or is that some high level stuff? I'd like to have Shu interact with said "source" through the same world, since it was a part of him, but obviously not on such a grand scale. If not legitimately through a pocket-verse, can I just go ahead and make this RP fodder? RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Ebonywood Hellscythe - 08-05-2017 Why can't you do it in the actual Astral Verse? If you want to go through dreams, isn't that the exact place you want to be? Simply fodder it as the old dream place he went to being replaced with the Astral Verse. So he ends up there when he tries to go to it. Quote:(from the items page) RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Daniel - 08-05-2017 (08-05-2017, 08:52 PM)Shu Wrote: Alright, let's see if I can word this right without sounding like a doofus. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Shu - 08-05-2017 You were reading my mind, I'm currently about to purchase Spiritual Attunement ^__^ Hmm, so would that allow me to create powerful characters for him to interact with? I'm kinda guessing the Astral Verse is pretty flexible. Not sure if that falls under the NPC creation or not, one of the dudes I got in mind is pretty baller strong. Edit: Yo, scratch all that noise. How bout I just not overthink this stuff and go with the flow, eh? Thanks for the answers, guys. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Daniel - 08-05-2017 If you're making an NPC prime for Shu to fight, even if it''s original, it needs to be approved. If it's a secondary that pops up to stand in his way for a little while, then it will be fine as long as it's an Original character. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Shu - 08-05-2017 Sounds good, thanks. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Summer - 08-06-2017 Can Super Defenses stack? Say Person A throws a T2 at Person B. Person B only has a T1 Defense, but their ally, Person C, has a T1 that can protect other people. Could both B and C use their Defenses on B to fully defend against the T2? RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 08-06-2017 No. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Jak Mar - 08-06-2017 Can i use the "Handcuffs" fodder in my roster as a possible move? RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Dane Regan - 08-06-2017 If you make it a move, and pay the OM, then yeah. Otherwise, it'll just stay a fodder thing for use only in personal storylines. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - PepsiYuuka - 08-06-2017 Okay so here's Yuuka's off the wall stupidly specific hypothetical question of the week. If my character has Spiritual Enlightenment, a secondary that is also classed as an Assist, and wants to physically go to the Astral Plane, would the secondary be allowed to come with due to the rules on Assists having all your powers? Or would they only be allowed to be summoned as an Assist temporarily because it's technically an Unlock and not a Power? RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Serraph Quarrere - 08-06-2017 If I were to mimic a move and pay the om necessary to keep it, would I be able to change some of the "Fluff" and fodder of the move to suit my character better while keeping all the meat and potatoes identical? RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Gaston - 08-06-2017 Yes, because you're basically just purchasing the move. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Jade Harley - 08-06-2017 @ Serraph: You would need to submit the new move with all alterations to Move Approval. Doesn't matter if the changes made are purely fluff, it must go through approval. @ Yuuka: Yes. A secondary may accompany your character to the Astral Realm. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Alex Mercer - 08-07-2017 How much is "too much" when it comes to memories from the other world? Specifically, I want to do the previous day leading up to Zi's culling from his home world, then him going to sleep, only to wake up saved from what would have been a harrowing fate. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Ebonywood Hellscythe - 08-07-2017 There's no problem with your writing flashbacks in the Astral verse. Or doing something similar to what Vulre Oakenlimb did in his first thread where he described the prior events to coming to the Nexus. You could easily describe his past day at the start of your Nexus thread. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Alex Mercer - 08-07-2017 That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks. RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Ebonywood Hellscythe - 08-07-2017 Further flashbacks later on can just be posted in the Astral Verse. (Just make it clear it's a flashback) |
