Hero eh? Retane technically is not, nor has he ever been considered Evil, or the VIllan. He is more like.... the Chaotic Neutral-esqu Hero.... He is Dark and seemed to love killing shit. And I quote, 'Whats the point of being the God of Death, if you're not killing things'... or something along those lines.
He's more like.... "Kill all these people to save these people" Death is 90% always the answer.
And Retane eats Final Bosses for Breakfast, let's Gilgamesh have a bowel movement, and kills them both around lunch time.
