RE: Quick Questions II - Hiro Protagonist - 01-13-2017 You could contract a Prime or something. RE: Quick Questions II - Red - 01-13-2017 Inquiring about using Telepathy as a means to control the minds of secondaries and willing Primes. I know Telepathy doesn't directly speak on mind control, but constantly brainwashing someone with the same message telepathically could enrage them to do your bidding. Just wanted to see if Telepathy could be used that way, or if I would need additional powers to bolster its application. This would require a move, possibly even a Super Move to function for an extended period of time. The drawbacks would likely need to be massive, as well. Fusing with a secondary/NPC, on the other hand, would probably give you some liberties with their mind. BUT, with the way you're planning to use it..... It can act as a weak compulsion tactic and not need a move so long as it is not being used to influence a fight. So, yes! RE: Quick Questions II - Yukki Kazuto - 01-13-2017 Do we have an item that can negate a Prime's powers when used on them, specifically for capture after being defeated in a fight? For players who want to hunt bounties, but don't want to have to kill people for the reward, so instead turn them over to authorities of the faction that has the bounty. I don't expect it to be a certain thing, but is there a protocol to be followed with this? I really need the ability to negate powers in the handcuffs or whatever they are, especially since I want to hunt down someone with phasing and shapeshifting. Just curious. If not, I don't mind killing them. No such item exists but when you hunt for a bounty, you don't NEED to kill them. The first amount listed on the bounty is for 'Dead or Captured'. If you win the fight you can spare them and turn them in. It's assumed that if you beat them into submission you'd be able to bring them in without further need to subdue them. RE: Quick Questions II - 2B - 01-14-2017 Ís Kirin Tor already a thing in Dalaran? ^^ RE: Quick Questions II - Alex - 01-14-2017 It might exist but not in the same capacity as it did/does in WoW. RE: Quick Questions II - Red - 01-15-2017 Could I use Telepathy in conjunction with Shapeshifting and Insight to transform into a creature/humanoid from another person's memory? Provided you have the TEC to force your way into their mind and the time/concentration to fuck around looking for such a memory, I don't see why not. You wouldn't even need Insight for that, since Insight just tells you about what the enemy has for moves and powers and such. So basically, for story fodder situations, I have to conjure a reasonable explanation for how I picked that type of detail from an individual's memory; and same for PvP, except I have to be able to concentrate long enough to execute it as well (in addition to the semantic aspect)? RE: Quick Questions II - Red - 01-15-2017 Also, I should've asked this earlier, but with Shapeshifting could I choose to only transform my voice to emulate someone else's (useful for situations where I want to speak to someone telepathically, but in a voice other than my own) RE: Quick Questions II - Mark - 01-15-2017 (01-15-2017, 09:41 AM)Helel Wrote:(01-15-2017, 09:38 AM)Mark Wrote:(01-15-2017, 09:32 AM)Helel Wrote: Could I use Telepathy in conjunction with Shapeshifting and Insight to transform into a creature/humanoid from another person's memory? Yup. For fodder just have it make sense really and for PvP just fulfill the telepathy requirements of time, concentration, and skill and the 'cast time' for the shapeshift. Standard rules for shapeshift also apply. What you're describing is more just a 'stronger' telepathy, since applications of Telepathy includes Jedi Mind Trick type stuff like making them think you're someone you're not. Just remember the whole TEC thing here as well. EDIT: To clarify, the above is in reference to telepathic speaking. I imagine Shapeshifting would give you a difference voice in person, but you'd lose it when you 'glitch' out of it. RE: Quick Questions II - The Rogue - 01-15-2017 Is it okay if we change the Omni speel from second person to third? RE: Quick Questions II - Jade Harley - 01-15-2017 Yep, so long as you don't alter anything that happens/is said beyond changing the PoV. RE: Quick Questions II - Undyne - 01-17-2017 Gah, Usopp was too fast - I had forgotten a bit that I wanted to edit into the above post. (thank you for the quick reply though!) For instance -hypothetically, if a Prime was given huge amounts of time and Omnilium and wasn't interrupted by people not being too happy at the disruption, could they summon something like a natural disaster (tornado, thunderstorm, volcano), a "fake" sun or similar crazy stuff? But yes, no combat effect, obviously. RE: Quick Questions II - Crocodile - 01-17-2017 I don't see why not? Course, summoning a natural disaster would be a quick way to get a Bounty on your head. I dunno if you'd have enough Omnilium to make a full sized sun, but a big ol' glowy orb would probably be fine. |
