Admittedly, I wrote Viola so I did participate in this thread. But, I really enjoy Kumoko's writing. He did a good job with this, so I'm awarding Kumoko a great bonus. (The reason for Viola's lower wordcount is that some of her posts were in the Kopaka+Dawn vs Pennywise thread - although Kumoko was reacting to them. So I'd Kumoko does deserve the participation bonus on all his posts.)

I got a different character/word count here. Are you sure you counted spaces? Either way, my numbers were 7166 words / 40704 characters (with wordcounter.net). Your writing was awesome, especially the dialogue, but my main irk is that there are occasional random spaces in your writing. Like a double space between two words seemingly at random, and a space before a comma on occasions. Outside of that, I didn't spot any recurring 'mistakes'.
Anyway, I judge this worthy of a great bonus (the highest one you're eligible for based on word count).

Despite what I said earlier about being more tentative, I am going to grade this thread exemplary (both Desman and Ash). You've got the content, quality, and wordcount easily. I might not be the best at feedback, but you definitely deserve your grading. Another staffer (likely Alex or Trixie, I think) will handle your meetings with Diablo.

This is super abrupt. Maybe have some banter. Otherwise it seems like your just trying to push the story along.


overall the story is nice but sometimes there are somethings that drag it down a bit. For example the contrast between being more comic Dane and being super analytical Dane is weird and there is no onset of the change. It just seems like it occurs at random intervals. Also explaining magic is very...not interesting to read. You do it a lot with 'core magic' and 'field magic' which is  nice to have an analogy or two or to explain it well if its important to you and your character but doing it 2-4 times is monotonous.[/spoiler]
