RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Professor Sunshine - 07-03-2017

Hey when creating an Alt do you have to confirm that the char is a alt using your main account?

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 07-03-2017

No. Just add a note as your Alt at the bottom of the post that you're you.

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Dane Regan - 07-03-2017

Just write make it clear it's your alt in the joining app. See the title of mine, for example (for Ebony):
Quote:Ebonywood Hellscythe (Dane Regan's alt)

You can also link the accounts as well. As long as it's obvious you're not trying to cheat the system you'll be fine.

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Professor Sunshine - 07-03-2017

Ok. I already did that for Aquamarine so it should be okay.

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Amaterasu - 07-04-2017

Two questions:

From a previous question, we know that fortifications and such are not allowed within a half-mile (?) radius around a verse gate (I can't find the original question unfortunately). What about constructions that are purely beneficial to everyone though? Examples being roads/pathways, signposts, bridges etc.

And can Teleporters and Recall Stations be used by Secondaries too (the latter if the player has purchased a Communicator first, of course), or just by Primes?

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 07-04-2017

1) those are fine. Only constructions that could restrict or prevent travel into and out of a Verse are prohibited.

2) sure.

Got a question regarding NPC approval. Due to the new rules, do Original Characters from Non-Original Sources count inside the A-List, B-List, C-list, etc. stuff? (For instance, say I wanted to make an original Undertale OC because I'm trash. Does the A-List apply?)

About the World:

"Summoning houses and other permanent structures is not possible within the Nexus, or within a roughly half-mile radius of gates. "

This is an in-universe detail, not just a gameplay one. Note that it says summoning, however, and not building. Secondaries have done some stuff with actual building.

OCs will always be the lowest rank.

No.

Is it possible to sell a Powers Cap? Let's say you bought the Tier 1 Powers Cap for 2000. Could you remove it and gain 1,000 OM back from the deductions?

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 07-05-2017

As long as that doesn't put your Powers over your lowered cap, sure. Seems a waste to me though.

Are invisible attacks a thing? Specifically things like Aang's Airbending (Air is invisible, as is a strong wind.) I don't mean attacking from a stealth and maintaining stealth, I mean, for example, standing in the open, waving a hand and an unsuspecting gust of air knocks you off your feet.

As a follow up, I'd imagine it would fall under the rules of Stealth (as in, high Tec with Enhanced Senses/Foresight/Insight) reveals the move, which I think would be equally awesome.

Yeah, they're a thing. And Enhanced Senses would let you 'see' the move, while Foresight would clue you in to something bearing down on you right before it hit but not necessarily what it was, and Insight would let you know that your opponent has such a move at their disposal, but not that it was in use.

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - The Vision - 07-06-2017

If another writer had minimal participation in a quest, and if their writing is disqualified from the word count, does the word count still increase?

Cause, Marcus wrote a little for "Twinkle in Sweet Repose" but she quit the quest soon after. If I ignore her posts, can I just keep the minimum word count at 10000 or does it go up to 13000?

We've had an instance or two before where one person wasn't gunning for the reward and did relatively little in terms of words so we just ignored them for the purposes of word count calculation. I'd say the same would apply here.

Great, thanks.

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Amaterasu - 07-06-2017

If I want to buy a move that was already approved before and I only change the name of its user (e.g. "Amaterasu draws a sword" becomes "Undyne draws a sword") do I need to ask for approval again? What if I change the name of the move and/or the name of its user, but nothing of its actual content?

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Trixie - 07-06-2017

Just post it for record keeping sake. Explain the change in the Move Approval thread and then go ahead and update your log. As long as you're just changing aesthetic details and nothing mechanical that would change the price, you're good.

Is it okay to throw Heartless into people's threads with their permission, or should a member not do so?
