Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Gherron Vael - 12-10-2014

Chuckling a little, a Gherron shook his head. "Oh don't worry my friend, I doubt you'll be able to lay your hands on this." He eyed Quill and patted his weapon a few times. "If you're an outlaw however, you should keep a low profile if you're gonna be traveling with us. We don't want any unnecessary attention. But it is good to meet a fellow traveler. Ever found your way to Coruscant? You look the part, definitely." He continued to study the other, taking in every detail. If his weapon was a blaster, it was unlike any he'd seen before, but that didn't bother him. Bounty hunters and others like them commonly modified and created their own tools of the trade. He could respect that. After all, Gherron was somewhat of an engineer himself.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Peter Quill - 12-10-2014

When Fawklin called him out on the Saber, Quill expressed a micro frown for a fraction of a second. It vanished in an instant however. "I like to think of myself as a treasure hunter." He told Fawklin with his usual grin, completely unfazed by the mans attempt to intimidate. As the old saying goes, fools rush in where angels fear to tread. Perhaps Quill should be afraid of Fawklin, but he couldn't be bothered. Quill returned his gaze back to the Jedi, whatever that meant. Gherron's confidence seemed to be concerted with fact rather than ego. Having these two as an enemy would not be a wise choice. "Keeping a low profile is usually the plan" Quill informs Gherron. "However the plan never usually plays out how I want. As for Coruscant, can't say I've heard of it before." Something told Quill that where ever the other two came from, it must be a completely different world than the one he came from. "But I think we should keep moving. I'm starving and could use a drink man."

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Fawklin - 12-10-2014

Fawklin cracks a smile. "As long as you keep your thieving to the dead and lost I can't find a quarrel with you." He sticks out his hand in the fashion the Quill and Gherron embraced before, not truly understanding the gesture but trying to adapt to the new cultures he is meeting. The two shook hands, Apparently it's like some sort of greeting contest. "Well the two of us just had some SUB PAR TEA!" He said looking to the pale sky as if provoking a deity. "But I am sure we will find a Fu Hut or something in the next town or village."

The three started west again towards the giant metal gate at the horizon. "You said Quill that you like Gherron traveled the stars, but what of your home?"

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Gherron Vael - 12-11-2014

Gherron, quick on the uptake, was the first to start heading back in the direction of the arch. "You know what guys, let's walk and talk. I'm sure we can all enlighten each other on the way." After all, he really wanted to see what was on the other side. Now that he thought about it, it did remind him a bit of Coruscant. He'd been there too many times to think any different. But then the other side of the coin hit him. This was a different existence, a different reality. Was it possible for other worlds to be within each other? And if so, would it be the Coruscant he knew? Carefully, Gherron fished a small orb of light from one of the various pockets on his pants. Staring at it, he recalled the voice again. Omni. Omnilium, he'd called it. It had the power to create or do anything. Just what exactly that meant, the Jedi had to find out. Perhaps he could get back to his own chain of events. If not... well he was going to have to enjoy the company of a warrior of flame and an intergalactic pirate.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Peter Quill - 12-11-2014

Quill offers a grin as he shakes hands with Fawklin, and he laughs at his snarky comment about the tea, to whom the comment was addressed to Quill could only guess. He was glad that he was not in this unknown world alone. With Gherron’s recommendation, the group once again started on their journey west towards the massively intricate metal arch in the distance. When Fawklin asks him of his home he hesitates, reaching into his jacket to make sure his Sony Walkman was still there. Comforted by it’s presence, Quill starts his story. “I was born on a planet called Terra, or Earth. It’s very far away from most civilized planets. About 12 thousand light years from Xander.” As they continued to walk, he remembered a little bit more of his conversation, as one sided as it was, with Omni. “Xander is like the hub planet for my galaxy.” It was safe to assume that the three were probably from different galaxies. “I left when I was really young tho. Adopted by Raveges. Not as nice or attractive as me.” He told his companions with a grin.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Fawklin - 12-12-2014

Fawklin gives a humph. "Xandar, Terra, Coruscant, The two of you boast of travelling the stars in ships floating in air. I can only imagine some of the stories you have to tell, and the people of my lands would find you either a fantastical blasphemous story teller, or something is seriously wrong with your head, probably both." He chuckles out some laughter "Planets, galaxies, space ships," He hears these strange words in the tongue of his own voice and thinks how ridiculous he must sound. Well not the words just me babbling on about them. I swear if this is all just a dream from after getting hit by that sailor I'm going to bring down that ship with me in flames of which would light up the skies in the colors of, of well Omnilium. He shakes his head out of an amalgamation of emotions.

Fawklin looks to Quill, then to Gherron and then down at himself. "We must make the oddest trio to behold, I mean a wandering Warrior Monk, an aimless kidnapped Outlaw, and an abominable Outcast, who is the fairest and best dressed of the three if I don't say so myself." He said tugging on his jacket then rubbing his facial hair, or lack there of with the back of his left hand and a gaping grin on his face. "Eh it's okay what you two lack in physicality and fashion sense, you more than make up for it with knowledge, for the whole 'other worlds' thing is just utter nonsense to me." But I will learn, and fast with these two as guides "It looks like we still have a bit more to go." He said watching the pillars grow in height and width, slowly starting to make out the boldest of designs. "Go on one of you, regal me a blasphemous story." He finished, still with a grin on his face.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Gherron Vael - 12-12-2014

With the current situation, Gherron just couldn't help himself but to grin. The hulking figure of a man had a point. He'd been to quite a few planets where space travel was not yet in their technological grasp, and had acted very similar to Fawklin. But the three of them were indeed a very odd group. Hopefully they could make up for it in combat... Gherron wasn't too sure about Fawklin, but he knew that with a blaster like the one Quill has at his side, he had to be good. And yet, thinking of all this, the Jedi couldn't help himself. So what if it was real? The younger self peeked from the inside of his mind. Gherron was once more adventure than business. Perhaps it was time to take on that role again. So, when the warrior asked for a story, he was the first to pipe up.

"Well, where I come from, we have this thing called swoop racing. It's a very dangerous sport, where you drive swoop bikes through a course that's so randomized, it needs the quickest mind just to survive. Just think of this. A motorcycle, but thousands of feet up. You can relate to that Quill." He shot the man a look. "Anyways, I was a padawan then, a Jedi learner. I had no business being part of this race; after all their Illegal in civilized space. But I didn't care. I was actually doing pretty good for a while. Almost crashed and burned a few times, but I won. Went to collect my reward, and well, turns out my master was disguised as a racer to try and take some down. Of course he didn't believe me when I said I was there for the same reason. Grounded for a month, man. It was horrible."

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Peter Quill - 12-12-2014

Quill agreed. The three were the most mismatched trio he had ever seen. Fawklin's knowledge of the galaxy was very limited and it made Quill wonder if maybe he was from a planet similar to his home world of Terra. He worried for the towering man. With his current equipment he wouldn't last long in even a bar fight, over a Kree girl who may or may not of been dating the buff Zehoberi on the planet of outlaws that is Knowhere, which reminded Quill. He still had a massive tab at the bar that he hadn't paid off yet. He made a quick mental note that if he ever got out of here to not visit Knowhere for a little while. Of course Quill had no doubt in the warriors abilities but he might need an upgrade from the Sword and Dagger he had now.

But then Fawklin made a comment about his fashion sense and Quill had to comment. "Hold up there Drag Queen. If any of us have the best fashion sense it is most definitely me. I mean come on man, look at your threads. They're clashing all over the damn place! And no offense dude but you're not exactly gonna go clubbing in those robes." He said directing the last part at Gherron. "Which means that I am the winner, like always." Satisfied that he had this one in the bag, he listened to the Jedi's story.

Swoop racing sounded like a fun time, a sport that Quill would enjoy. He didn't like to brag (lies) but he was a damn good pilot with his ship the Milano, back when he still had his ride. If he was going to miss anything from his world it would be that ship. Of course it was a pigsty, but it was home for Quill. Much more than the Ravegers ship had ever been. "Grounded huh?" Quill said with a chuckle "What are you 12?" Growing up with the Ravegers, Quill had been encouraged to do things most kids his age would get in trouble for if he had lived his life out on Terra. But there was always the sense of adventure in it.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Fawklin - 12-12-2014

"What's a Drag Queen, sounds like something a barbarian would do in a Hold." Fawklin looks down "This, is the highest of fashion for a Naming Feast, plus leaving in a hurry I didn't have to much time to change into something more," He looks at Quill "more thievish." He said with a grin. "Plus this Jacket is the only thing I have, or ever had of my mothers."

Fawklin listens to Gherrons tale, about 'swoop bikes' and criminals. "We raced horses from gate to gate, betting on the races were illegal but never enforced by constables. The races are more for the glory of the breeders and renown of the Kingdom. I never raced but on foot, won quite alot, the losers would say it was my swiftness but I think they were afraid of my father." Who funnily enough would have liked nothing more than to see me lose. "because I've seen them run and I know I'm quick but some of them were more like horses than man." Fawklin became somber in remembrance of his father and in turn Varen.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Gherron Vael - 12-12-2014

With a smile, Gherron realized this was going to be a fun trip. "Okay first of all, this was back when I was younger, and even then its only right to obey your master as a Jedi. I'm a man now, but if still follow Josh's lead any day." When the two started talking about style, he had to perk up at that. "Hey, in my defense, these robes are for the more revered Jedi as it is. I don't know why I was brought here in them... Last thing I remember, I was wearing a red t-shirt and jeans. I'm not always formal, you know. But that's another story. Do either of you remember being given something on your way here?" His mind drifted to the omnilium again. Did the others have it as well? It would make sense. As he thought of the strange substance, his hand clasped around it in his pocket. If it truly could be used for anything, he'd have a field day. He was an engineer of sorts with most things. It could be used to his advantage.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Peter Quill - 12-12-2014

Quill wondered whether not to take the opportunity to make a jab at the thought of Fawklin wearing his mothers clothes. It felt like a low blow so Quill let it slide. He was a jackass but not a 100% dick. Plus it was too easy. Moving on from the topic of clothing and fashion, Gherron spoke highly of this Josh guy. Most of been a pretty good teacher. Then he mentions something he was given on his way here. Could he be talking about the orb? Could these two be trusted? From what he knew so far Quill thought yes. Reaching into his jacket, he pulls out the Orb the Omni guy game him. "Yeah I got this. Apparently I can make anything with it." The thought of making anything with pure thought was enticing, but even more so for an ex-ravager like Quill.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Fawklin - 12-12-2014

He checks his pockets for the first time since his arrival, and feels a marble sized object in his right pants pocket. He reaches in and takes the object out revealing the same thing as the others. I wonder if this is what brought that tea kettle to fruition. "Must be. I mean yea I have it too, I think it's the currency of this world." He tossed the orb into the air snatching it back. "Worlds, I made tea appear earlier from the orb It was okay, I should have just wished the ingredients."

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Gherron Vael - 12-13-2014

Finally satisfied, Gherron produced his own orb of Omnilium. Holding it in front of his face, he studied it carefully. "I think you're both right. This stuff can be literally anything... And from what Omni said, we may not be the only people here. In fact, I highly doubt that we are. All those doorways around us probably link to other worlds; probably how we were transported her to start with. So much can be learned with this Omnilium..." He whistled softly. "If only Josh could see this." Looking at the other two, he let a small smirk appear on his lips. "Why don't I show you two how we get around where I come from." Closing his eyes, he pictured a speeder, his own, in fact. When he opened them again, a slim red vehicle floated in front of him, and his smile grew even larger. "I present to you, a speeder bike."

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Fawklin - 12-13-2014

Fawklin looks on in suspense as the 'speeder bike' appears in front of Gherron. "Oh okay that is pretty cool, but can you do this!" Fawklin jumped in the air flailing around as he landed he started to cackle. "Seriously tho is that what lazy Jedi's use to travel?" He said circling the magically floating transportation.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Peter Quill - 12-14-2014

Quill was a little concerned at whatever Fawklin was doing flailing his arms about. Like perhaps he had suffered from stroke. His eyes widened when Gherron made a speeder bike appear out of nowhere. So what the Omni guy said was true. This orb he held could create anything. The bike was simple in nature, and Quill was certain he could take the bike apart and put it back together again with ease. However as he walked closer to inspect it, he realized the speeder used parts he had never seen before. Whatever, what was another unanswered question in a sea of a million. "Hey, you call it lazy. I say work smarter, not harder." Quill said with a grin as he too, closed his eyes and focused on the image of a speeder bike. However his had a different color scheme which was reminiscent of his ship the Milano. Sleek blue with an orange stripe going down it.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Gherron Vael - 12-14-2014

Gherron waited to see his companions' shocked expressions, and was surprised himself when they were only mildly impressed. As far as they knew, his vehicle was light years ahead in technology compared to whatever they had seen. However, he didn't take too much stock in it. Especially when Fawklin began floating and flailing about. Raising an eyebrow, he waited for the man finish before turning to Quill. He had already taken to studying Gherron's ride, which made him smirk. The spacefarer was curious. The Jedi almost said something about agreeing with what he said, when a speeder similar to his own materialized next to it. "Not bad Quill, I'm impressed. You're a quick learner. I may just have to call you speedy." Mounting his speeder, he watched the other. "Now let's see if you can keep up. Fawklin... Try to follow suit and make yourself a speeder. Trust me, they'll take us to the arch much quicker."

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Fawklin - 12-15-2014

Fawklin looks to the two space heads making their Fancy speeding bikes "Yes Quill that sounds as deep as a puddle. You're forgetting about the balance between your physical self, mental self, and spiritual self, and by hindering yourself of one if not all of these you cease to be the potential, whats the word, potential god if you will." Fawklin said as if Varen was speaking through him. Taking his own words to heart he started to contemplate his position on being Zjinn, abomination, demon but that was in Maglin. This is no Maglin, this is the start I need. A wide grin forms on Fawklins face, "You might think your technology is fast but they are just as ugly as you Quill. Want to see beauty, speed and style just wait." Fawklin crossed his legs and lowered himself to the ground to meditate.

The orb leapt from his pocket if no fabric was their, it floated in front of him growing in size exceeding 6ft in height and and 7ft in length. The orb started to glow a brilliant amount of colors that ranged the perceivable spectrum. With a brilliant flash stood in the place of the Omnilium orb a shiny black coated stallion. Fawklin opened his eyes that were filled with not only nostalgia but the formation of tears at the sight of this 17.3 hh tall 92 st his horse. Kegowasee I missed you. Fawklin stood up made a clicking sound with hes tongue and the horse turns to him bows its head and steps forwards. "This my friends is Kegowasee, my oldest friend, next to my master of course." He holds his right hand out and the horse places his snout up against Fawklin's palm. He started to pat down Kegowasee taking in the sight of his old friend. "I can't believe it's you old friend, I missed you." Wiping away a tear from his eye Fawklin gave the horse an embrace. He then turned to his two companions with a grand smile, "So we ready to go?" He asked jumping onto the unsaddled back of his horse, and as if the two were one turned west. "Lets do this." He whispered into horse's ear, the stallion whinnied and the two took off towards the western gate.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Peter Quill - 12-16-2014

What on Earth Fawklin was talking about, Quill had no idea. However once Fawklin summoned a horse Quill's grin grew wider. Maybe they're worlds were not so different if Fawklin knew of horses and Gherron knew of space travel. He could also see the competitive glint in Fawklin's eyes, and he was sure it was also in his. "Maybe we should put that to the test man." Quill said as he mounted his speeder. "A race? And then we'll see if you're just speaking out of your ass." He laughed as he revved the engine, as the machine roared to life. "And let's see who's the better pilot huh Jedi?" Quill says to Gherrron with a wink.

Quote:Ooc: Hey guys. I'm really sorry with my lack of posting. Midterms have been hell and I'm really busy with school and work stuff. Also with sailing stuff as my season is starting to end. So if I take ages to post, feel free to go on without me. Just keep Quill with you.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Fawklin - 12-23-2014

The race was a short race a straight shot to the gate leading towards the west. The three of them went back and forth over taking one another. Why is it that these strange 'speeder bikes' are almost as slow as Kegowasee? Strange freaking world. About ten yards from the giant metallic gates Gherron, the leader at the time ripped on his breaks in what Fawklin took as surprise at the sight of these two snow white armor wearing guards. Almost simultaneously Fawklin and Quill stopped right next to Gherron. "Hey what's going on Gherron? Why the sudden stop my friend?" Fawklin said looking towards the Jedi with a hint of surprise and anxiety in his eyes. Fawklin jumps from his horse and pulls the dagger from his belt just preparing for what may be instore.

Re: Perhaps I made a wrong turn? - Peter Quill - 12-27-2014

Quill was quite surprised at the fact that the horse kept pace with the two speeders. As they approached the large metallic gate, Quill could make out the outlines of two guards, clad with white plating, with goofy looking helmets to protect their faces. Both of the guard were identical armor wise, but they were also the same height exactly. If Quill had to guess he would say they were twin brothers. They were both equipped with a blaster, ones Quill had not seen before but that didn't surprise him after today's event. As they approached Gherron stopped short in front of the gate. As the trio dismounted, Quill sensed tension and instinctively pulled out his element gun and engaged his helmet. "Should we attack?" Quill asked wary.
