RE: Quick Questions - Mark - 02-13-2017 (02-13-2017, 10:27 PM)Papyrus Wrote: Would it be completely possible to do this? (More out of curiosity than anything.) If this is just a story thing I don't see a problem with it provided everyone is on-board. If it's a move you want to use on someone you'd need Telepathy and a lot of TEC. Either way, I'd say it's doable in some fashion. RE: Quick Questions - Beta Ray Bill - 02-13-2017 Am I allowed to make an NPC Prime without any moves ? RE: Quick Questions - Amaterasu - 02-14-2017 (02-13-2017, 11:28 PM)Hellboy Wrote: Am I allowed to make an NPC Prime without any moves ? I don't see any problem with that. Just remember that you'd still need the basics - physical strength or ranged proficiency, stats and whatnot. RE: Quick Questions - Revan Noctis - 02-14-2017 Is the dataverse endless? RE: Quick Questions - Amaterasu - 02-14-2017 (02-14-2017, 04:29 AM)Revan Noctis Wrote: Is the dataverse endless? Nope. Pretty big, but not endless. RE: Quick Questions - Revan Noctis - 02-14-2017 Makes sense storage space I'm presuming would play a part in that. What about the astral verse, is it endless? And if not how does that work I mean is it like one big black box with every bodies stuff in it. Does it grow depending on how many people access it? RE: Quick Questions - Amaterasu - 02-14-2017 (02-14-2017, 04:38 AM)Revan Noctis Wrote: Makes sense storage space I'm presuming would play a part in that. None of the verses are endless, they all have boundaries at some point. They're of different size (The Underverse is the largest, for instance) but most range around the size of a country, and to my knowledge they don't change their size either. (Not really sure what the rest of your question means, unfortunately) RE: Quick Questions - Amaterasu - 02-15-2017 Does Camelot and Coruscant (especially the latter) have any sort of regulations or laws regarding bases with Recall Stations? Basically to prevent people from sneaking past checkpoints or launching invasions by allowing numerous people to link up to the station and teleporting into the verse. I'd say no, both since it's not specifically stated that there's anything against it and because one of the quest rewards in Coruscant is use of a Rebel Base with a Recall Station. RE: Quick Questions - Amaterasu - 02-15-2017 (02-15-2017, 08:32 AM)Mark Wrote:(02-15-2017, 12:26 AM)Amaterasu Wrote: Does Camelot and Coruscant (especially the latter) have any sort of regulations or laws regarding bases with Recall Stations? I was more wondering about if it's "illegal" to have a non-approved RS in Coruscant or Camelot, not "physically impossible". But okay, that should help me a fair bit! Thank you! RE: Quick Questions - Alex - 02-15-2017 Of course it's illegal. RE: Quick Questions - Yukki Kazuto - 02-15-2017 I figure that I'm allowed to do this, but i'd rather double check first then be wrong and take an OM deduction. So, I'm writing an NPC story here. Neither of my characters are actually there, and it all happens through the eyes of an NPC secondary. The question: Am I allowed to use either account to post in this, or am I required to use the account that created the NPC? RE: Quick Questions - Alex - 02-15-2017 Pick one account and use that to write the thread. RE: Quick Questions - Revan Noctis - 02-16-2017 So after buying a move I'm told I gotta link the approval somehow? How do I do this and where do I put it. Also since I gotta go back and look from them is the search option on the site suitable for finding them in the hay stack? RE: Quick Questions - Alex - 02-16-2017 I believe you're looking for this thread, which is stickied in the P&D Log forum? - http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=67 The second post lays that out. If you'd like an example, I believe this thread - http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=6464 - is a nice one Hope this helps you out. RE: Quick Questions - Amaterasu - 02-17-2017 How is the random destination of using a teleporter to leave your base determined? Does one ask the staff to select a random location in the destination verse or is it left to the players? Is there any way to go about finding pocket verses (besides event-verses), in terms of game mechanics? I imagine that we're not allowed to decide for ourselves that we want to stumble across one. RE: Quick Questions - Alex - 02-17-2017 The 'random' rule is in place to make sure people don't use teleporters to just wind up where they want to be without having to travel. It also ensures people can't use a base teleporter to just magically appear to save their buddies or something. So generally it's an anti-dues ex machina clause. It'll send you to a random, nondescript location. To your second question -- no, not at this moment. RE: Quick Questions - Kyle Crane - 02-17-2017 Three questions, all connected to one sort of thing I want to do; Can I have my OC Prime NPC(John Jales, "Mind Master") and a related secondary(Wade Moore, "Frost") kind of "moved" to Papyrus, and if so, can I have them in a different position than where they started? Last time I used them, I was still Micky D's, John was waiting to respawn, and Wade was looking for him in Coruscant's underground. I want to have a kind of "timeskip" with them individually - Wade now knows John is the Mind Master and summoned him with powers that would awaken "eventually," and the duo have since taken to vigilantism. This might have been answered already, but search was being fucky with me; Can I have a Prime or Secondary NPC complete quests like The Hero This City Needs, and in doing so, do I get the OM rewards OOC or does it *have* to go to the NPC on all standpoints? (In the event of an OM reward going to an NPC, of course, it would just kind of "vanish.") And, finally...Do I have to receive the OM reward for quests in-character, or can it just be strictly OOC? RE: Quick Questions - Illidan Stormrage - 02-18-2017 Would Insight give you the ability to know another person's name, or would that be more in the realms of Telepathy? RE: Quick Questions - Revan Noctis - 02-18-2017 Just so I am clear I have to wait two irl weeks before I can post again? |
