RE: The OmniCon - Handsome Jack - 05-11-2018 I straight up could not afford 1100 a month in rent. I barely make that much most months. RE: The OmniCon - Karl Jak - 05-11-2018 Rent + student loans + normal bills is like, 80% of my income. That doesn't include travel to work or like, eating. LIFE IS MERRY RE: The OmniCon - Handsome Jack - 05-11-2018 Rent+utilities+gas+car payment is sometimes more than my income. And I make decent money. I ain't even got cable. Food stamps are the only thing keeping me off the streets. And the kindness of my in-laws. I just hope I can jump on regular soon. Go from like 20-25k a year to 40-45k. RE: The OmniCon - PepsiWhirda - 05-11-2018 My rent is $1,600 for a 2 bedroom. Our new place in Greenwich is $2,400. Consider yourselves lucky! Sounds right for Connecticut though. RE: The OmniCon - PepsiWhirda - 05-11-2018 Yeah I'm fortunate enough to be married with two healthy salaries.
RE: The OmniCon - Drake Oneir - 05-11-2018 I pay $760 a month, plus power. Then theres all other bills. Weekly budget its about $25 for food and $35 for gas. Normally I'd be much better off, but over a quarter of my monthly income gets shoveled into a fire goes to child support. RE: The OmniCon - Shantotto - 05-11-2018 Los Angeles a one bedroom apartment runs 1500 RE: The OmniCon - Jade Harley - 05-11-2018 Google "anatomically correct human skull fire logs." OmniCon can involve roasting s'mores over a pyre of burning skulls! RE: The OmniCon - Mickey Mouse - 05-11-2018 Labor Day is not stellar for me because I’ll be in the Rocky Horror Show in SC but I could be there during the day time one day? Last weekend of September is ideal for meeeeeeee but don’t let me stop you ?? RE: The OmniCon - Yu Kanda - 05-12-2018 Renting is fucked up.. buying a house is waaaaaaay cheaper over here which makes no sense. But on topic. If there are enough europeans for the UK version sign me up. Dont mind flying over to the US either. RE: The OmniCon - PepsiWhirda - 05-14-2018 Tentatively suggesting we shoot for this place: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/7140189?location=Winchester%2C%20VA%2C%20United%20States&adults=10&check_in=2018-08-24&guests=10&check_out=2018-08-26 Dates: Weekend of August 24-26 (or 27 if some folks want to stay a third night and leave Monday). Price: $637 for two nights, $862 for three nights. The place comfortably sleeps 12, has a hot tub and pool access, and the price is affordable because it's more of a skiing place than a summer place. For the full 12 people cost would be $53 each for two nights or $72 each for three nights, plus food and beverages (everyone brings their own or we can do a huge group shop on Friday when we arrive). For 10 people cost would be $64 each for two nights or $86 each for three nights. For 8 people cost would be $80 each for two nights or $108 each for three nights. Anything less than 8 people we would look at a smaller/cheaper place. This is in Davis, West Virginia (just north of the Virginia border) which is a pretty good central meeting point considering most people who have RSVP'd are east coast or would be flying anyway. Let me know thoughts! We'll need to coordinate reserving this pretty quickly if we want a shot. RE: The OmniCon - Jak Mar - 05-14-2018 I wish I could come but... I don't know RE: The OmniCon - Handsome Jack - 05-14-2018 I typically work weekends, but if I can scrounge up enough money to be able to afford a weekend off work, I'll definitely come up. I like West Virginia. RE: The OmniCon - Strazio Rockwell - 05-14-2018 I wouldn't mind pitching in for some of our foreign brethren. Also it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to set up some events or activities for variety sake. We can swim, play tennis and volleyball, grill, etc. I'm planning to take a good long hike at some point. Maybe people can bring video game consoles or PCs for gaming. |
