Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - King Axorn - 10-04-2015 A dragon demon hybrid? Axorn thought. That would explain her physical appearance, but the name... Alexyana Umbranox from Ilan... The name nagged at the back of his mind, but he pushed it aside for now. "As I said before," Axorn began, "since neither of you fall under the classification of those I rule over, I have no authority over you." Axorn walked up to the two of the and sat down in the fresh green grass before turning to Dawnika and unsheathing his sword. "Seeing as you inquired about my sword, Axorn said, eyeing Dawnika's curiosity. "I may as well show it to you." Axorn held the sword out flat on the palms of his hands and presented it to the two of them, the steel blade shining in the light. "This sword, Dragonslayer, which I created with my brother Kronax during the great war against the dragons, is a gunblade. it it capable to fireing projectiles from near it's tip. In this case, it fires crystals that can explode into bursts of flame on a magical signal from me which takes a few seconds of concentration to generate. This sword used to belong to Kronax, before he died in the war and it was passed down to me." Axorn sheathed the sword and folded his hands in his lap. "So Dawnika, what about your sword? It seems like a magical weapon to me based on how it disappeared into thin air on command." Quote:Sorry for not posting earlier, I was really busy yesterday, and only barely squeezed the post in this morning. Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Dawnika Snow - 10-04-2015 Dawnika was amazed at the blade presented to her. A blade that shoots projectiles? This is what this 'gun' thing is...Like what father told me about. I will keep this in mind for later use, it may come in handy. Finally, Dawnika was able to sit up without feeling so much pain. "Kagetsume is more than a blade, he is my best friend and my partner. He has the ability to become whatever weapon I desire but it seems that in this world, I have become limited to only a sword and a shield. This gun you speak of however, sounds useful and I am going to try and figure out how to summon one for battle." Dawnika examined both Axorn and Alexyana; she still couldnot believe there were dragon like creature like them. Axorn's Kingly status gave him a relation to her but it was the same with Alexyana who was part demon like her. They were both weird to her, yet she had to get used to it. Anything could happen in the tournament, and she was determined to be ready for any kind of enemy she would go up against. With her wounds now for the most part closed up, Dawnika stood and resummoned Kagetsume. "Kagetsume, form." Dawnika held out her hand as the sword reformed in her palm."My arm must still be a little rusty, I'm going to get take some practice swings on that tree, if you need me." She walked to the tree just about fifteen feet away from the other two and began to slice at it, rolling, dodging, and jumping out of the way of imaginary attacks that the tree would be producing and counter-attacking. Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Undyne - 10-04-2015 "I'm glad we've avoided any issues in that regard, then." Alexyana said, slightly more at ease now that Axorn was confirming it. She passed a hand over the cut on her arm, finding that it had regenerated a fair bit. Satisfied, she took off the bandage once more and tore off what remained of her scales around the wound - which equated to shedding her skin, just that it was only locally. Beneath that she revealed new, shiny scales which were just about ready to grow back together over her injury and heal her up entirely. She discarded the strips of colorless scale-shards and bandage remains by extracting the Omnilium from both - after all, what has been created with Omnilium surely could also be reversely deconstructed, right? - and listened to Dawnika and Axorn. "An interesting blade, most certainly. Though the name seems a little odd, given the species of its wielder." She remarked, lifting an eyebrow. But, who was she to nag about things like that. She leant in a bit to examine the sword, although no matter how much she looked it over she couldn't make any sense of the complex mechanism that it was made of. Outside of the opening at the tip which she assumed was where Axorn fired his crystals from. Quite the advanced product of magitech, it would seem, or even pure tech. In either case it was something from beyond the level she knew and was used to from back home. If he really is signing up for the tournament, I'd better be careful... an unknown weapon is the most dangerous. Not to mention what other people might bring. She involuntarily looked over to where the signups were taking place and her tail twitched with anticipation. Of course, that also means that I can discover new things. This Gunblade might just be the start of what this place has in store... Since Dawnika left to battle, Alexyana stood up and moved back and forth tentatively. Yup, the injury on her back was feeling a lot better too. She undid the bandages there as well, as her skin healed better when exposed to fresh air, and eyed Axorn. "You seem to have something on your mind. When I mentioned my name it was pretty evident... do you mind sharing?" She inquired. Quote:The IC signups are starting today so perhaps one of us could do a brief post about the three of them going there, signing up, and meeting back up at the Carnival around the Colosseum? The signup scene would be skipped in this thread as we do the actual signup over here (Thread link). Your call. Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - King Axorn - 10-04-2015 Quote:I think that in order to maintain continuity, the characters should actually go to the coliseum to sign up. Short post but didn't have much else to write. Axorn watched Dawnika closely, paying attention to her fighting style, as it may come in handy later. He turned back to Alexyana, who was now pacing and pondered for a while before answering the question. "It's just that..." Axorn began. "If my memory serves me correctly, Ilan is an ancient city from my world, Tranquility, previously known as Earth, and your name itself seems vaguely familiar. Do you happen to go by any other names?" Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Dawnika Snow - 10-05-2015 Dawnika spun her blade and returned it to her back where it stayed stationary in the air. She wasn't showing off all her moves just working on her reflexes and speed. She turned to her dragon friends and spoke loud enough so they could hear her at a distance. "We need to get moving to Minas. The sign-ups were starting today if I remember correctly." Dawnika called Konlal to her side and she mounted him. Konlal had no riding gear, so it was hard to climb him. Dawnika was finally mounted so she awaited her friends to mount up. She spoke softly to Konlal, so the others couldn't hear. "Im glad that you are here with me Konlal, you and Kaylee were the only ones I had left and if I could I would bring Kaylee." Dawnika went silent, she thought maybe if she could be summoned here Kaylee could too. Kaylee, I will get stronger because I know you believe in me. If I can find some way, I will bring you here to this world. Dawnika turned back to her friends and waited. Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Undyne - 10-05-2015 "They do. Though we should probably have heard the crowd by now, considering how it's going to be a fairly large event. Unless..." She walked into the general direction of Minas Tirith for a few steps, and soon vanished between the trees only to come back moments later and reaching for her Kumdo. "The trees and foliage were swallowing up all the noise. There's a whole carnival going on out there. We should better go there now, and meet back up later if you like. I won't stray too far from the sign-up area." With that she leapt onto her mount and looked to Axorn. "If we end up facing each other in the arena, I'm looking forward to a good fight. You seem to have an interesting weapon and to be a competent fighter." Then she spurred her Kumdo on and took back to the pathway, heading straight for the signup area. Quote:Timeskip here! Alexyana's making a brief visit to this here thread to sign up and afterwards sticks around the area, back on this thread. After having signed up formally, the dragoness dismissed her Kumdo as it would likely not be needed for a while now. Instead she mingled with the crowd to get a good look at who might be her opponents in the arena, what sort of tech they had around here... and of course, what sort of sweets she could buy at this place while waiting for the tourney to get going. But, she never strayed far from the signup booths so that Dawnika and Axorn would be able to find her again. Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - King Axorn - 10-05-2015 Quote:Time skip! Axorn pushed through the crowd on his horse, when he was about halfway there, he decided better of it and de-constructed the horse, replenishing his Omnilium buffer. Axorn made his way through the crowd, slowly but surely and got next to Alexyana. "Alexyana, you never answered my question. Do you go by any other names?" Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Undyne - 10-05-2015 Alexyana had just backed away a few steps from the sign-up booth and was looking over at the fair when Axorn approached her. "Hmm? Oh. I'm sorry, no. I didn't." She passed a strand of loose hair behind her horn and eyed Axorn over a moment, wondering why he was so interested. "I have a lot of names, several which are quite interchangeable - Soul-eating beast being the most prominent one." She crossed her arms beneath her chest and leant against a tree as she got to explaining. "You see, demons like myself eat souls to grow in power, unlike angels who acquire their power through training. That may be quite different in other realms or for other types of demons and angels, but that's what it amounts to. Have you ever heard of Faustian contracts? You know, where a demon brands the five-edged star into your skin and, upon fulfilling his contract with you, gets to claim your soul? That's what we do. And I can say that I've had my fair share of contracts. It tends to throw people off though if they catch you devouring a soul, almost as much as if they catch a vampire." For a moment she paused. There were other names... "Oh right. Lotziidu. That's what the northern dragons called me, back in times when there still were a lot around. It basically means the same thing, but in their language rather than Common. There's also several other names - Blue Huntress, Abyss kid and a few less flattering nicknames mostly related to my mother." She grinned, baring her teeth momentarily. "As a rather high-standing demon and succubus she had a certain infamy about her, and succubi... well, it's easy to come up with unflattery names for them, let's leave it at that. Why is it that you ask?" As she asked that last thing she tilted her head sideways and eyed Axorn closely, if she could make out anything in his expression that'd hint at a reaction to what she had told him. Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - King Axorn - 10-05-2015 "WHAT?!" Axorn said, looking quite shocked. "YOU'RE LOTZIIDU?!" Axorn suddenly realized the entire crowd was staring at him and quieted down. Well that does explain a lot, he thought, waiting for the crowd to go back to their own business. Once the crowds turned back to what they were doing, Axorn continued. "We're from the same timeline on the same planet in the same universe, albeit millions of years apart. Normally, we would never be able to meet each other unless either of our societies invented a time machine and were able to meet each other. But under these circumstances... Well, let's just say they don't follow the same laws as most universes. You became a legend, a story told to children. As far as the legend goes, one day you just disappeared and nobody's sure about what happened afterwards. Clearly that was you getting sucked into here. There's nothing about you returning though, so I'm not sure whether or not you ever got out of here. Basically, I'm from your future." Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Dawnika Snow - 10-05-2015 Dawnika was enjoying this carnival thing. In Xenithia, they had these celebrations much like this but the crowd was never this big. She was searching around finding many foods and items that she had never seen before. Little game booths were everywhere and she ended up trying some of the foods as she was growing hungry. In the crowd, she also in the crowd she met a man carrying on of those gun things like the red dragon had. He mentioned calling it a sniper rifle, and that it had range that could span well past a bows range. She was amazed by this weapon and kept a note on it. Dawnika was just a few yards away from the other two when Axorn yell out in surprise. She walked toward his yell and rejoined her draconic friends. Looks like she had bought a purple scarf. Hello, what has you yelling about Axorn? You're gonna give the townsfolk heart attacks yelling like that. Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Undyne - 10-05-2015 "Woah! Axorn, ease off... we're not alone here!" She replied at his first words and backed away from the surprise. She waved to Dawnika to get her attention so she would join back up with them, although the two dragons already stuck out fairly much within the crowd, then she looked back to Axorn. "Millions of years, you say, yet the story is told on? I can hardly believe that... but regardless. I doubt that you're getting the right person, Axorn." She passed a hand through her hair, ruffling it up a bit as she thought how she would best explain this. "Damnit... you should have been there when I explained the details to Dawnika. But, uh... I highly doubt that the Lotziidu you speak about and me are one and the same, Axorn, as flattered as I am by the idea. The millions of years should've tipped you off, there's no way a legend can survive that long. And besides that... I "vanished" in the midst of the Dragonhunts, when the dragonhunters went out killing every dragon they could find, including me. Because I am a demon I cannot be permanently killed, my body simply is destroyed and reshapes in Hell after a time... yet when I resurfaced I could not do much to stop the unstoppable tide of men, weak as they may be by themselves, when they fought as hundreds or thousands against me alone. When the last dragons either had abandoned Ilan or were slain and I was the only one remaining, I faked my last death as being permanent and went into seclusion as a hermit. The title I earned before that, before the Dragonhunts began, because I made contracts to get souls. "Great Soul Devourer" is what the nickname means... it could literally have been any demon with a high soul count. I only stuck out because of my looks, which are hard to forget when most demons are humanlikes. But I am certain that there have been dozens, if not hundreds, of demons much stronger than I which have fulfilled many more contracts and devoured many more souls." She explained. After having finished her little... rant, something came to her mind which she voiced immediately as well. "However... if you know that name and you speak the same language, it may indeed be plausible that we are from the same world, be it millions or only hundreds of years apart. Unless there have been dimensional exchanges where people from your world taught us your language or vice versa... And this Omniverse has some weird rules about time, I found out that much, so your theory about us being here and alive at the same times although we come from entirely separated aeons would make sense." She rubbed her forehead, the sudden intake of information making her feel dizzy. "You'd have to tell me more about your homeland though, about... stories, geography and whatnot. Perhaps we can find similitudes in each other's lores to confirm your theory. After the battle." Only then did she turn to Dawnika, offering an excusing smile. "I'm sorry about that... I guess we all signed up though. And I see you're already starting to get into the local fashion?" She added with a grin. Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Dawnika Snow - 10-06-2015 Dawnika grinned back at Alexyana, "we do not have these in Xenithia. They told me it would keep my neck warm." The scarf was big around her neck and covered her chin. The ends of the scarf hung down to the left side of her waist. Dawnika happened to over hear the word Lotziidu. It struck her mind instantly. "Lotziidu? That sounds like ancient dragon texts from Xenithia. The dragons would speak to each other in thier own language. I forget the name of the language, but that sounds like it. I remember reading about it when I was studying to bring my-I mean I was studying. The only sentence I can remember that we transcribed was 'Drem Yol Lok' which means greetings."She sighed in relief almost having revealed that little secret in her life. Shit, I need to stop running my mouth. No one here needs to know what happened. They'll try to just be sympathetic and I do not need that right now. Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - King Axorn - 10-06-2015 "Forget what I said then..." Axorn replied, stifling a laugh when he saw Dawnika's outfit. "I would love to show you my home world, but at the moment I can't access the Draconian database. This place has it's own form of internet, called the Dataverse, and it's a completely seperate entity from the database. If I wanted to access the database, which has so much data through imagery, manuscripts, maps, and other historical data, that has been collected ever since the draconians became a civilized species, that it could easily allow us to figure this out, I would need some sort of tamper-resistant connection to my home world. But, we can start somewhere. Do you happen to know what year, human year, it was when you pulled out of the world? It might give me some context that could help me pick out parts of my thoughts relevent to the millennia. But as far as I know, dragons exist in almost every dimension, most of which speaking draconic. The reason I blurted out like that though, is that draconians are very protective of their racial customs, so when something comes out of the blue, like a supposed evil draconian, it gets put into the database with an important tag on it. As I was reading through one of them, I found a story of Lotziidu that had been warped and distorted over the years but the main idea was that there was an evil female draconian stealing souls from other beings and disappeared every once in a while. It's again plausible that that could have been you, but in order to get the specifics, I'd still need a connection to the database." All of a sudden Axorn looked a little sad. The draconian kingdom is probably still in turmoil since I disappeared without a trace. If I could get access to the database I could also tell them I'm alive and get them set up in my absence. "There's quite a bit on my mind right now, I think I'm just going to sit down for a bit." Axorn walked over to a nearby bench and sat down, pondering how to access the database. Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Undyne - 10-06-2015 "If it can help you get your mind off of things, and clarify some for me..." Alexyana raised a hand when Axorn moved towards the bench and almost touched his arm to stop him, but the other dragon-like motioned towards the free space on the bench as he listened. "I didn't want to interrupt you to be... well, you know, rude. But what was that whole bit about the "database" that's so similar to this... you called it Dataverse that you mentioned? If you're talking about images and maps it must be some sort of library where the draconians collected their knowledge?" Libraries weren't common where she came from, but every major capital - including Adilon, the capital of Ilan where the human king reigned supreme over his subordinates - had one where texts were collected and hoarded with almost as much protectiveness as a dragon who protected their hoard. Knowledge is power. Such was the motto of the librarians there, and it had proven right time and time again. She reminded herself how impressed she had been at that there were even ancient texts detailing dragon physique and the dubious art of dragonslaying. Disgusted, yes, but also impressed. And what Axorn was bringing up sounded quite similar to that. The dragoness had barely noticed how, lost in thought and more than curious about this database thing she had sat much closer to Axorn than what was okay between friends - their shoulders were practically pressed up to each other. She cleared her throat and backed away once more, then spoke once more. "By the calculus we had back then... the humans measured time in years dictated by the four seasons, but the commoners used a system based on the passing of the human kings ever since Adilon was taken from the elves. There were no major disturbances for a long time since that event, so they had to make up something: ten kings were equivalent to an Age. The dragonhunts began in the fourth Age under the reign of king Randor the 6th, I believe, he was the 43rd human king. I'm not exactly sure about the calendar year but I believe it was sometime in the 520-range, give or take a score." She gave a mild grin. "As for your remark about an "evil" dragon or dragon-like named Lotziidu which collected and devoured souls... definitely could have been me, or time may have changed the true story and turned a regular demon into a dragon. I'm not going to deny that I'm no angel - THAT much transitioned over from my parents. Though I can't just stick my hand in your chest and rip out your soul. I need to make a deal with you first where I get your soul as payment for my services... and I highly doubt that the Faceless god would allow me to make such a contract, as taking a soul effectively prevents reincarnation." Finally, she leant back on the bench. "And I hate to get your hopes down, but... if your database is anything like a telekinetic ability where you speak to a librarian to fetch you a book, it won't work around here." She raised the bracelet on her hand, a piece of jewelry with a surface that looked like there was molten rock flowing beneath a glass wall. Axorn curiously leant in to take a look and Alexyana readily showed it to him, though she didn't take it off. "I brought this from my homeworld, it allows me to speak interdimensionally to reach my family. Only because Hell is located in a different dimension than Earth, and I wanted to call home once in a while. Well, ever since I got here using it has rapidly depleted its power, much faster than it used to back home. I'm concluding that there must be some dimensional barrier which inhibits access like that... so even if you can speak across realities, it'll be a lot more tedious. And if you can't, you're effectively cut off." Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - King Axorn - 10-07-2015 Axorn turned his thoughts back to Alexyana, interested at teaching her about the wonders of electricity. "Well, you could say the database is like a library on demand. I don't suppose you know what electricity and the internet are based on the fact that you were living in, what we call in the future, the middle ages. Here, let me show you." Axorn turned a knob on his watch and a small projecter popped out the side, he then preformed a series of tap and swipe codes on the touch screen in order to tell it the information it required to recieve it's commands. The projecter blinked to life, projecting a small holo-screen on Axorn's lap. He then made a few more motions on the screen itself, making the projecter-like device create another screen on Alexyana's lap, although this one wasn't interactive and instead of it being hard-light, if she attempted to touch it, her hand would pass straight through. Axorn opened a demonstration program and put together a simple explanation with ease. Axorn then engaged the presentation, having it broadcast on both devices. As of now the screen was just blank. "So, let's start with the basics, electricity. Have you ever seen lightning before? Wait, what am I saying, who hasn't?! Lightning is electricity, albeit on a much larger scale than the electricity that's harnessed in this machinery." Axorn swiped his screen amd both demonstrated a simulation of lightning striking a metal pole. "Metals are able to direct the flow of electricity. Allowing us to feed it through complicated grids of metal wiring that change slightly depending on what we want it to do. By connecting together dozens of these grids, we are able to create computers." Axorn swiped on the screen once more with his claws, bringing up the image of a primitive desktop computer. "This is a computer. It is made up of a huge grid network that's able to process anything from solving a simple math equation to running a video game. I'm not going to get into the latter since it's quite complicated and would bring me off topic. So, the internet is a way for computers to exchange information without being directly connected to one another. The Draconian database is a huge network of information on the internet that only certain computers can access. It contains detailed reports of almost everything since it's creation. It also includes digital copies of everything from the original Draconian database, a library. The Dataverse works in pretty much the same way as the internet. I can't connect to the internet because I can't get a signal here. But, I have found that magic and electricity can be interchangeable at times, so if I could get a magical connection back home, I should be able to access the internet, and in turn, the Draconian database." Axorn turned the knob once more, and the projecter retracted, causing the screens to dissipate. "Any questions?" Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Dawnika Snow - 10-07-2015 Dawnika nearly had a heart attack as Axorn pulled up his little computer with his watch. She had never seen anything electricity based other than of course lightning. She quickly sat on axorns other side staring at the screen amazed. By Nyx's shadow, so this 'Internet' thing is like a huge paperless library? I do not understand how it works but it is amazing." She had been eyeing the screen trying to figure out how it was working. He is trying to tell me he harnessed a lightning bolt and put in that computer thing to power it? That is crazy, although Quotin is much smaller than Earth, let alone unexplored. A universal database thing like this would not really be needed. Still it is quite amazing that someonr would be able to make something like this. When he was done talking, Dawnika just remained in silent awe. The most technological idea they have had in Xenithia is a way to harness fire in a none destructive way that allows them to have lights that burn without expelling. After her interest died down a little, she looked around at the crowd. Everyone was eating and playing games in the street, her mind was on food now. Appearantly so was her stomach, a soft growl came to signify her hunger. "I have just come to realize that I have not eaten since I arrived in the Omniverse. What say we get some food while we talk about databases and libraries and what not?" She looked up at her friends to see if they ageeed that it was time to eat. On the Road to Colosseum (Open): Day 1 - - Corporal Light - 10-07-2015 "Holy mother of fucking God." That sentence is more or less the best description of the combination of awe and astonishment and a lot of other emotions as he stood just outside the Carnival surrounding the awesome structure of the Colosseum. If his red scarf wasn't completely covering his mouth, it would be noticeable to all of that his mouth was completely agape. Looking up at the Colosseum, he takes in a nervous gulp, saying "Damn, that's... a really big building." This was THE most biggest building he had ever laid his oval eyes upon. At least back in the world of eternal winter, there were occasionally mountains you would sometimes see that could rival this building, but a building?! How the hell do they stack shit that high? Ballad had been travelling on foot throughout Camelot ever since he caught word of the Prime Tournaments from a Bartender in some village. Taken him literally hours. It had caught his interest if only because he thought winning would equal, you guessed it, more omnillium for himself. However, he wasn't a retard. He wasn't just going to just walk in, revolver in hand, demand to be added, and expect to win. That might've worked back home, but this isn't home. Instead, his strategy was something different. He was going to take a look around, see who's applied, and try to judge their skill and, if he fought them, how easily they could beat him. If he thinks he can win, he will apply. "But this is a damn impressive thing, I gotta say. Never seen anything like it..." said Ballad as he finally looked back downwards to the scene in front of him. As he walked forward, it seemed the land itself had changed from the ten seconds it took to walk towards the Colosseum through the Carnival. He didn't plan on taking a detour through the Carnival, however. Like it has been mentioned already, he had a plan. Taking in the scenery for a few short moments, Ballad quickly set to work. As he walked, he would look around the area he was in, looking for more out of the ordinary folks. Occasionally, he would stop at various stands to watch people do various games. One particular one involved people tossing rocks at a pair of mugs. Whoever knocked three down in a row would earn some kind of prize. Whatever the prize was Ballad never managed to figure out, considering absolutely no one managed to get it. At first, he didn't really understand why it was so hard until he realized that the mugs were heavily supported on stilts, and those stilts were the only eligible things to knock down. Sadly, it was nigh impossible to do so. Ballad wanted to call them out, but went against it. Didn't want to go off-focus over some stupid swindling crime disguised as a fun piece of entertainment. Eventually, he manages to catch sight of about three other individuals within the Carnival that didn't appear to be like the rest. Moving towards a stand selling food, he leaned against it, staring at them from about ten meters away. What he saw goes as follows. One looked to be a red, humanoid shaped lizard creature. He wore some kind of leather armor, and had an odd looking blade strapped to his person. He also seemed to sport a pair of wings. Doesn't look too bad.. Next was looked to be a teenage girl, who for some reason wore nothing but a skirt and a shirt too big for her. Seriously? No armor at all? Not even shoes. If she plans on competing, she's surely getting her ass kicked. Then there was... a really.. big.. blue.. lizard.. thing.. with horns.. and some scales and.. crap. It took a few moments for Ballad to fully comprehend exactly what he was seeing here, but it was obvious, to him anyway, that of the three, the horned lizard thing was going to be the toughest. The girl hardly had any armor, so if he went up against her, it was already game over for her. The red, winged lizard looked a little tough, but he could remain at range and still be fine. But the blue lizard?! He might as well kiss his ass goodbye. Sighing, he turns his head away from the trio, holding his right hand upwards to get the guy running the stand's attention. On the Road to Colosseum (Open): Day 1 - Running the Stand - Corporal Light - 10-07-2015 The guy running the food stand turns his head to face Ballad, handing another person the food they requested. He frowns a bit, seeing the rather strange attire that Ballad was wearing. Not exactly clothing designed for Camelot, especially when it got hotter. No matter. Let's see what he wants. "Good morning, sir. What can I do for'ya?" he asks, placing his hands on the counter of the stand, leaning a little bit forward. He had been taught a little bit on how to keep a customer's attention on his products and his products alone, and it should go very well here. Ballad, focusing more on drawing attention away from himself, shoots one last glance towards the trio before looking back at the man. He quickly runs his eyes across the food list given, eventually settling on some kind of meat. After paying the required amount, he takes his bought food, nods in thanks to the man, and removes the red scarf from his head. Walking away from the stand, he places his mouth around the meat, taking a bite out of it as he gazes up at the Colosseum. Chewing on the meat, he begins to ponder whether or nor it would be worth it to try. He thinks he can take on the girl and the red lizard, but maybe not the blue lizard. And there might be more than just the trio to deal with. Swallowing the food, he lets out a long sigh, proceeding to walk towards the direction of the trio, though clearly without the intent to meet them. His plan, so far, hadn't changed. Walking past the trio, he begins to follow the signs leading him to the entrance of the Colosseum. Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Undyne - 10-08-2015 Alexyana barely even took notice of Ballad - though really, how would she? She didn't know him and hadn't noticed his interest in Dawnika, Axorn and her, and he walked past them... he was one among many in the crowd to her right now. Not to mention that her concentration was on Axorn and his explanations right now. "That's quite amazing." She said when Axorn was finished with his explanations. "It's... I'd be lying if I said I understood everything, but I feel like I got the rough idea of it. In essence, the energy that exists within lightning bolts you are able to... use in a metallic machine that functions with that energy. It's a similar concept to magitech weapons, but it sounds much more elaborate... and like you can do much more interesting stuff with it." She passed her hand through the image on her lap twice, then examined the reflections on her hand, frowning. "So you say that the Dataverse here in the Omniverse has this sort of thing. I've seen people talk about it, they were using little devices that look similar to that one in your hand. Definitely should look that up in greater detail after the tournament." When Dawnika then mentioned food the dragoness looked up and licked her lips. "Now that you mention it... well, I've had something not too long before we two ran into each other, but the things around here look delicious." She eyed one of the booths where they were selling hotdogs, then another with caramel-covered apples, yet another selling a candy unique to the Omniverse which was sherbet powder condensed into a solid candybar... "My biggest problem is where to start around here. Maybe get something hearty first, like meat. I suppose that around here we pay with Omnilium?" Re: On the Road to Colosseum (Open) - Dawnika Snow - 10-09-2015 Dawnika stood and spoke over to Alexyana, "Yes, that is how I got ahold of this scarf. I assume it will be for food just the same." Dawnika grabbed her sword and wrapped it up on the end of her scarf, around the base of the blade and hilt. "I assume this world has no veron meat, what a shame. I wonder what it is that the locals eat. I assume it is food from Earth in the human universe. I have always wanted to try their food." She approached the stall selling various meats like mutton and such. The aromas that came off the food were not like that of home but they never-the-less made her mouth water. Browsing through her choices, she takes notice of something rather odd to her. It was a smqll piece of meat that stuck out from the larger pieces. The stall vendor takes notice of Dawnika and goes in to make a good sale. "I see you're eyeing the chicken leg, ma'am. Wouldya like a few or couple legs?" He asked her. Her attention was on the legs, but what is this chicken? Her curious nature eats her through the choive of buying three pieces for herself. She paid her required toll and turned to Alexyana. "Chick-en, hunh? Human animals have weird names. This probably wont taste as good as veron. Hope this is worth the time." She grabbed one of the legs by the thin side and took a bite. The first impression of her thoughts was she did not like the food she was eating. She had sunk her teeth into the chicken leg and paused, but then her eye grew wide with astoundment. She talkes with food in her mouth. "By Nyx's shadow! This is undoubtably the greatest food I have EVER tasted in my life, and I have lived for quite awhile!" She began to eat the chicken leg quite aggressively. Why can food like like this not exist in Xenithia?? This chicken leg is amazing, the human world must be full of amazing stuff like this. I should realy do more research about humans and their lifestyle and culture. Dawnika quietly enjoyed her new found love while Alexyana got some food for herself. |
