A while ago a staffer told me that gates between the verses didn't exist anymore, but the verse descriptions still mention them, and I know most have been updated recently. So....is or is not a thing?

If you are referring to the portals, then yes, they exist. Each verse has portals that connect to the Nexus and a neighboring verse. For example, The Tangled Green has a portal to The Nexus and Camelot.

That's possible! Any secondary is essentially the result of a Prime's imagination actually (as is anything summoned with Omnilium), it's just that if they have met someone before they have a reference.

When and how you go about acquiring something IC doesn't usually have much bearing on when you make the actual purchase, provided you have the requisite OM at the time of purchase. You can wait a few days, a few posts, or even an entire thread or two before taking the time IC to make the summon/find the item or learn the new ability/power/whatever. All at your own discretion, really.

Would having flight and summoning a flying vehicle in a verse that usually does not allow these flying vehicles make it count as a vehicle, thus not tiring you, or is it just flight with some vanilla flavor?

In order to summon a flying vehicle in a Verse that doesn't usually allow them, you must have the Flight power and an Assist to function as your vehicle. This requires a lot of exertion and cannot be sustained indefinitely, as the About the World section of the Rules says.
Mock fights take place in the Omniverse Discussion forum or the Bossverse, with an OOC topic for judging/fight rules/etc. and an IC topic for the actual fight. You've probably seen several in the OOC forums! They hold no bearing in the actual Omniverse, they just give you a feel for how competition works.

Yes Hello hi. I'm wanting my secondaries back at my base to gather info on the Omniverse while Amber is away. Now for clarification, does this require me to have access to some device such as the Dataverse Uplink Station or no? And while we're at it, could they communicate with Amber with a communicator at the base? Since secondaries can't just poof shit outta thin air I wanna make sure I can do that while keeping Amber away. Amber has purchased a communicator and a mobile dataverse device.

Depends on the information you wish to have them gather. If it's just general information regarding the Omniverse, they wouldn't need to physically enter the Dataverse in order to do that. In other words, no, you wouldn't need to purchase anything specific in order to have them gather information.
And yes, you can have your secondaries communicate with Amber using their own device. While they can't summon one, that doesn't preclude them from acquiring it through other means.

I'm currently doing the Dwarfholm quest in the Frozen Fields, but Amaterasu interrupted it and has left a secondary behind who was doing the quest with her. Would I be allowed to continue (not finish) the quest with just that secondary?

You can certainly continue the storyline that involves that quest with just the secondary, if you so desire. However, any such posts will not count towards the requirements for completing the quest. So regardless of how you progress the story, until Amaterasu returns, the quest is effectively considered to be on hold.
