Greggo, would you be interested in merging the two ideas (Your tournament and mine)? I wouldn't mind changing the ground rules from an elimination tournament to a Round Robin one and merging whatever backstory you may have had in mind with the one I had proposed for the VR tournament.
I don't have a lot of time as of when I'm writing this, but if you're interested we can talk on Skype or Discord this afternoon?

Totally! I mean, my idea was literally just a 5 minute "man I would love to see this sometime after DD" moment, forgetting what you had planned, but if I have any ideas you want to crib, you're welcome to 'em.

I think at least a couple months break after Dark Data may be for the best, at least in the name of getting characters back into the swing of normalcy before launching them into another event.

Time frame sort of depends on where we can fit it in relation to other happenings and when DD wraps up. I don't want to pile it on too quickly.

Rather than pure Round Robin (which might take ages), me and Ammy were looking at doing swiss-style combined with two strike elimination.
Swiss style meaning in the first round, everyone gets a random opponent. In the second round, people get matched up with those with similar scores (1 win or 1 loss) and so on.
Meanwhile two strikes means if you lose two matches you're eliminated. But one loss is not an elimination from the tournament.
Need to look properly into the actual logistics to make sure it'd all work.

I like this idea, but I do have two questions that I forgot to ask. With this tournament, is killing allowed, and will it wait for Forces to be put into full motion before it begins?

We're just kinda brainstorming stuff at the moment, and consider this an 'unofficial' thing from me just brainstorming together with Ammy. Forces will take precedence but that might mean slipping this in as a break between larger stuffs. I might just ditch the forces event to make room for more interesting things and simply drop the update after DD. Who knows.
As for killing, it'll either be totally VR or no outright killing. Injuries WILL be fully healed between each match.
