RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Jack Darby - 03-14-2018

His own orb of Omnilium was summoned by him to his hand, and he concentrated. Slowly, and slowly, ethereal mists of Omnilium began to shoot out of the orb becoming a partially formed image, before a fully formed item appeared. What had appeared was his Tablet of Chaos that he had learned he could make, and use. The tablet once formed was held out by him, so she could see it. "Seems I've managed to recreate something I found I had on my person earlier... a weapon that I seem to be familiar with using, but don't know why."  Rafael was curious as to why he had the skills with the item, as he had never fought before to his knowledge.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Shantotto - 03-15-2018

Shantotto nodded her head silent in recognition of the boy's achievement, it was a good start, even if the weapon was unconventional she knew better than to mock it. She had seen people and things killed by something as a sports ball.

she remained silent as she watched wondering if he was going to surprise her further.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Jack Darby - 03-15-2018

As she remained silent, Rafael desummoned the Tablet as right now he did not personally need it. Unicron wanted him to blast Shantotto with it in the face at point blank, but he was not about to do something like that. The Mech Issued Laser Pistol was pulled out next by him. While he had no small amount of distaste for the organization, Rafael had to admit they had an impressive amount of skill with machinery. Of course his distaste for them came from something they had done. Namely, the dissection of Bumblebee, and the removal of his T-Cog. It was an organ, and said action had earned them a permanent spot on the list of people he hated.  "This is a weapon that I awoke here in the Omniverse with. It was a weapon wielded by a group I personally despise for what they did to a friend of mine."

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Shantotto - 03-16-2018

Shantotto waddled around the newly created clearing watching the boy play around with his new toys. "It seems a grasp of it is what you have, Your proving to be a good pupil one who might earn his stave."She said as she sat down watching how the boy reacted to his new found gifts.

Still part of her wondered about the properties of them "Now now young man that just will not fly, perhaps you care to give those weapons a try." she said as she stepped away from any trees she assumed the boy would use as targets.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Jack Darby - 03-18-2018

She seemed to want a demonstration of what his weapons were capable of. With that in mind, Rafael concentrated for a few moments. Using some of the Omnilium a target was created that floated nearby for them both to see. The target was nothing special, a piece of wood that was shaped into a bullseye for them to shoot at, or rather for him to demonstrate his abilities on. In the future, Rafael knew he was going to be stronger than he was at present, by a lot. The Mech Issue Energy Pistol was taken, and fired with pinpoint accuracy at the target.  "How was that?" asked Rafael to her. Really though it was not good enough in his eyes. Unicron chose that moment to take over. The Chaos Bringer was very certain that any number of his enemies could show up in the Omniverse. To counter them, he was going to have to grow in skill to the level of a Cosmic Being once more. Sadly for that to happen he was going to have to make Rafael more willing to help  him out. As it stood their fates were linked. In order for him to even have a fraction of his strength that he had in the past, he was going to have to get Rafael stronger. "So what did the boy talk to you about?" asked Unicron to her.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Shantotto - 03-19-2018

Shantotto watched without speaking for a while, the weapon was accurate, at least the boy had that going for him. Then the parasite spoke, the change in his demeanor and the depth of how he spoke was clear cut as day. "Good day I say" she said half interested. She walked around the target examining the damage dealt by the weapon up close, using her stardust rod to remove small traces of the singed material. "Hmmm" she said without an accompanying rhyme. "Tell me parasite, Do you consider weakness to be blight?" She asked without turning to face Rafael. Her rod pointed up at his face from afar.

"The future is not for any but the true source, And attempts are met with failure if one only goes for it by force." She riddled as she walked closer and closer. Her intention to test just how far the parasite inside Rafael could be pushed.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Jack Darby - 03-19-2018

As she got closer and closer, disregarding his personal space Unicron decided on something. Really, he shouldn't have to take this from anyone, and so he prepared something that he had been saving to use on Omni. A Dark Energon Sphere floated above his palm and he looked at her. "This is your one and only chance. Back away, slowly."  Unicron growled. If only he had his full cosmic power, then she would be reduced to naught but ash by him for the insult that she had done when she tried to get into his space. Unicron did not like being in the Omniverse, he did not like it one bit, and he wished Omni all manner of ills for bringing him here. This place was most certainly without thrills.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Shantotto - 03-19-2018

"It would seem I have struck a nerve? Well perhaps its clear as day to see with anyone whom you serve." She mocked the threat with no regard for the orb of Energon in his palm. "Calm yourself, lest you find your host damaged." she said in a low voice. The first time since being in the omniverse she had not rhymed. Her eyes stared up at Rafael with not an ounce of fear. "Fool, I have protected the gods from those who sought to bring them to their end, If you think I fear a frail boy and his parasitic addition you clearly can not comprehend." She said once more, going back to her rhyming ways.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Jack Darby - 03-19-2018

"....."

Unicron then dissipated the orb, but not because she said so. No, the reason he dissipated the orb was that he couldn't take her in a fight at present. Rafael needed to grow stronger. If this meant ripping weapons from Video Games, and attacks from movies that Rafael had watched, well Unicron wasn't adverse to it. After all, the kid was his host and he planned to make sure that he stayed alive a long time. Ideally he could avoid any problems in the Omniverse, but on the off chance he couldn't, he wanted to be ready.  "You will live for now, only because the boy wants to continue learning from you, and getting stronger." growled Unicron, as he let Rafael reassume control.

Unicron really didn't like her attitude. Letting Rafael assume control, Raf asked. "What did he do this time?"

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Shantotto - 03-21-2018

"That thing inside of you is quite a brute, resorting to violence when all he needs is to adorn himself in a suit." She said as she laughed about the joke to herself "ohohohoh" she turned once more towards the forest clearing she had made and summoned forth her spell "Quake", the ground began churning as it was re purposed for her needs creating a wide area of land that was uneven and potentially dangerous.

"Your training begins now young one, I intend to make sure you don't have too much fun." She said as she jumped up onto one of the stone pillars that had been left in the aftermath of her spell. "Your friend inside seems to think highly of himself, but if he intends to intimidate me he will find his head on a shelf." She said as she jumped to a second pillar that had sprouted. the distance was considerable but the way she maneuvered herself from pillar to pillar was showing how even with her short legs and short stature that she was able to produce acrobatic feats.

"Your turn." She said as she reached the end of her makeshift obstacle course

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Jack Darby - 03-21-2018

Inside the head of his host, Unicron watched what she had done. If he had a power like that, it would certainly come in handy. In the future he was going to attempt to create his own version of the power for his personal use. However, for now he wanted to see what would happen if Rafael ran the obstacle course without his assistance. She seemed to believe that all he needed was a suit, and that he was some kind of brute. Her annoying rhyming was contagious, and not particularly advantageous either. Still while she stuck to her guns, for Unicron the constant rhymes started to feel like quite the crime. Really, if Rafael didn't need her lessons, Unicron would have vaporized her on the spot.

Rafael examined the obstacle course, measuring in it in his head. Using skills he didn't know why he had,  Rafael flipped, twisted, and twirled around some of the obstacles. A ballet type spin was done to avoid another. Just where had he gotten these skills? Tumbling for a moment, Rafael forced himself back up, and continued to use the new talents to get through the obstacle course. Back home he had never had any training of any sort, and yet he had been able to do something like this. Why was that?

"How did I do?" asked Rafael. "And where did I learn how to do that?"

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Shantotto - 03-26-2018

Shantotto laughed at how agile the boy was, for being new to the omniverse she was impressed by how quickly the boy had adapted to her challenge. As she watched him she wondered how welol he was prepared for what she knew was eventually inevitable, combat.

"You show promise young pupil of mine. I shall now up the anty, I pray you wont whine." She said as she channeled her focus to create water streams from her hand blasting towards Rafael's feet. Her goal was to keep him moving around her carefully laid out training area.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Jack Darby - 03-26-2018

As the water streams propelled towards him at her command, Rafael started once more performing acrobatic maneuvers before any of the water could even so much as get close enough to touch his clothing. The first move he performed was one from ballet, a perfectly performed pirouette spin that allowed him to evade the blast of water. A jump into the air was then followed by a flip that landed him close to her, and at that moment Unicron took control, summoning the Vorpal Saber and aiming it at her throat. "Do you yield?"  Unicron had assumed it was a fight and really didn't want to deal with Rafael complaining if he got hurt. Thus, the threat of a blade.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Shantotto - 03-28-2018

Shantotto sighed at the boy, his weapon pointed at her neck.

"If you value the life of the host that you posses, I suggest you do not force me to do anything under the threat of duress." She said calmly despite her patience being tested.

"You claim to want training yet all you do is look for confrontation. The next time you draw your blade on me I shall blast you away without hesitation."

She said as she gripped the rod of her stardust rod ready to bring it up in a moments notice.

In her head she began focusing her magicks and beginning the channeling for one of her most lethal spells... "Burst" a lightning spell she was almost sure would knock the boy out should the blade meet her flesh.

She didn't move as she watched him, her light brown eyes betrayed not a single trace of emotion and not an ounce of fear. Why would she fear the boy, he had shown little more than an affinity to summon his weapons and an ability to understand the power of agility.

The clearing was intended as a way to train the boy but if this parasite was going to keep baring its claws at her she was going to remove the whole hand.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Jack Darby - 03-28-2018

Unbeknownst to her, a mental conversation was going on in the head of Rafael. Rafael was currently letting Unicron have it.

You insufferable buffoon. I was trying to get her to train us, and all you keep doing is messing it up. Let me have control, and I can salvage what remains of this situation, before we end up even weaker than we are now. This requires tactics you cannot use, Unicron, but that I am well versed at doing, at least right now anyway. You keep messing things up. Sure you may be bringing the Chaos, but it is not a form of Chaos we need at present. This situation for example could have been avoided, had you simply let me stay in charge.

Rafael was allowed by Unicron to take control back. As a sign of this, his eyes changed color once more, back to the way they had been. Rafael sighed and dissipated the blade. "Sorry about that. He's a bit irritated. Well more than a bit. Most of his rage is directed at Omni, though since he cannot find the individual to use that sword on,"  Rafael sighed. "Now you know one of the reasons that had I a way to do so, I would rid myself of the parasite. I've yet to figure out a solution that can keep him gone though."

In truth he wished he had a solution to the parasite, Unicron. Yet there was no ideas he could come up with. The Matrix of Leadership was not accessible by him in the slightest, so he couldn't use that to blast Unicron out of his brain. The container of the All Spark didn't exist here, so he couldn't use that to trap Unicron forever, either. Not that he would, of course. It was just a passing thought.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Shantotto - 03-30-2018

Shantotto closed her eyes as the irritation hit it's apex, three bolts of lightning struck a few feet behind the pair blasting apart the ground leaving a crater of burnt and partially glassed earth. Shards of stone and charred dirt rained in from above them as Shantotto moved the target of her attack to the ground behind Rafael.

as the blade dissipated from his hand Shantotto lowered her hand from her stardust rod. "Hmph" She grunted as she crossed her arms at her chest. "I suggest you take what I have to teach the boy, Show yourself to me once more and I shall make you into a toy." She said as she jumped down from the rock pillar she was still standing on. With her boots resting softly on the scattered blades of grass and stone Shantotto once again directed her attention to training the boy. "Keep that pest in check or I swear to cosmos when I am finished with you there will not be a speck." She said coldly, her face clearly regretting the fact she was training someone who had so little control over their own body.

"Bring forth your weapon, strike at the stone as I create them. Do this well and you will earn your first gem." She said, not waiting for a reply as she once again began casting "Quake" again. The ground swirled as the pillars of stone burst forth with great speed.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Jack Darby - 03-30-2018

As the pillars of stone came at him,  Rafael flipped through the air. When he landed, he spun, slashing with the Vorpal Saber in his hands. While a certain part of him did not appreciate him using this move,  Rafael knew it was the only way he was going to graduate from this training.  "It is very difficult for me to keep Unicron in check,"  said Rafael, as he slashed the rocks as they came at him. "You're right he's a pest, and I'd really like it if I could somehow put him to rest, but he won't stop. He's a menace. However, I must say one good thing about him Shantotto. While I am not brave... don't have what it takes to face an actual opponent - he is more than capable of doing so without any qualms."

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Shantotto - 04-03-2018

Shantotto jumped up onto one of the remaining stone pillars, the waves of vibrations from the rolling earth went up her legs making the muscles sore as she stood upon them. It was not the first time she had used Quake to train new students, Still using it in such a way was draining her, even if just a bit.

"Thats enough for now, any more and you'll need to break out a plough." She said as she looked at the devistated clearing, broken stone pillars and fragments of earth were strewn across the makeshift area.

"Now your questions I shall asnwer in due time, though right now it is time to remove all this grime..." She said ahs she used her magic to spawn another torrent of water to blast away at the rock, soon a pool of water collected in the craters. Shantotto jumped down and used the clean water to rinse the dust and stone from her arms and legs before turning her attnetion to Rafael.

"In order to subjigate something that is holding you back, you just steel your mind and prepare for attack." she held her stardust rod out before her focusing her abilities and bringing forth a diagram of a human brain. She began using her magic to highlight diferent parts of the brain, taking a scientific approach to how she was explaining it.

"There are three ways I am aware, of ways to this pest out of your hair." she shifted her rod around and the image changed to show a visual list almost as if it was on a computer screen.

"The first way is to do so by transfering the pest to a second host. Of the options I despise this one the most." Shantotto explained as her magical computer screen showed a worm moving from one host person to another. "The second is to incapacitate the host, in such a way as tying them to a post, make the host a hostile place to stay, This method may take far more than a day." She said as the computer screen went and showed a stick figure tied to a tree without food or water as a clear night and day cycle went by several times, a worm was shown making its way out of the host and dying off on its own in the sun.

Shantotto waved her rod once more as the image faded and one more took its place, this time the work spoke to the stick figure and left of its own accord. "The third way is to have the pest leave the host of its own desire. Of course to do this the pest and host may not hold any ire..." She said as she got rid of the screen with the wave of her hand.

"Ofcourse this is all assuming that your pestilence is just a pest, If he is a personalitly it is something to behest... In which case ending him will be a tall order, and the prossess will leave you on the border." She said as she realized that this method required her to erase the boy's mind. While it was something she could in theory do it was something she had no such desire to do.

"And now it is time to eat, for right now I am quite beat." She said as she focused her hand on her omnillium and began to make another hammock to rest in.

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Jack Darby - 04-03-2018

As he watched her use Omnilium like that,  Rafael realized that she had a skill of a master with it. To gain her ire would be to court disaster, something he knew he was unlikely to survive. This was why he paid very close attention to what she said about the pest. Three ways to deal with it that could be executed. "Sadly transferring him to a new host is not feasible, as we don't have any Dark Energon that anyone could be exposed to,  and in addition I would never wish this off on anyone. Making me a hostile place for him to be wouldn't work, been there, done that before when I was back home," admitted Rafael, to Shantotto. "And I doubt Unicron would leave willingly, as he seems intent on using me as a "human shield" should Optimus Prime, or Primus, or the Matrix of Leadership find it's way into the Omniverse. I've tried to convince him that the Matrix will not be a problem for him here, but he will not take my word for it. It is one of the few weapons that could actually weaken him to the point where he could be removed. Of course, I doubt he'd be vulnerable to it anymore. And with how much regaining of his power Unicron has been trying to make me do, I wouldn't be surprised if he became immune."

Rafael sighed as he realized that. Even the best methods of getting rid of Unicron would only be able to do so much. There were not many options possessed to rid himself of the pest, so he could truly be at his best. Of course if Unicron did leave, he'd have no reprieve from any form of combat, and he'd be getting in as many fights as a Tom Cat. The Rhyming of Shantotto was contagious, and not perhaps, advantageous, as Rafael thought about his problems.  "Why am I rhyming in my head?"

RE: into the woods without any red hoods - Shantotto - 04-03-2018

Shantotto nodded her head as she listened to the boy, some of what he said didn't make a lick of sense to her but she held her tongue instead focusing on using her omnillium to bring forth a few pieces of chocobo jerky into existence. She tossed a slab of the dried bird meat to the boy without a second thought as she bit down on it and chewed off a piece.
