RE: Video Game Atrocities and Altruism - The Vision - 07-24-2017 (07-24-2017, 04:50 PM)Ezrihel Wrote: I'm the most evil in Skyrim (and ark but we'll get to that later). Say in skyrim I was wondering around and an NPC really just irked me in town. Well, I'd set to sneakily following them around for about a week or so IC, stalking them, learning all their schedules and quirks. Then, on the dawn of the seventh day (always the seventh day, I'm never late) I'd make a dagger that matched my feelings on the NPC and name it after them. That night when they were alone or sleeping, typically at around 4 am, I'd get into their house (had already lockpicked and produced a key copy), cast soul trap on them and then murder them with the dagger I'd named after them. ...that's fucking terrifying. The worst thing I've done was in This War of Mine. One of my survivors was sick, I gave him like three meds and it wasn't helping, and at that time I had four dudes already. I just kinda went "Fuck you" and sent him on suicide missions. No gear, just punching as many people as he could before they dropped him with fucking machine guns. This is also when I learned that dead teammates depress the other survivors. Go figure. Best thing is League. I played Volibear a lot and would spend a lot of time throwing pursuers off my allies' tracks. In particular, there was this one guy who claimed it was his first PvP game and he was still new (and I had little reason to believe he wasn't) so I decided to pair with him up top. He didn't have that "click constantly" instinct yet so sometimes his movements were clunky. The enemy knew that. So I decided to be a team player and covered for him. I had more deaths than kills and assists combined because I'm not good enough to cover for two people like that but hey. RE: Video Game Atrocities and Altruism - All Might - 07-24-2017 Atrocity: I was playing GTA V at a friend's house, and decided to spend the day having fun with cheat codes. Running around with explosive fists, slaughtering every vehicle on the road, and any cops that tried to stop us. When we got bored with the cheat codes, we made a game of seeing how many other cars we could destroy before we died. Altruism: I've lost, like, only fifteen pokemon in total. I've been playing pokemon games for like a decade, but I've only lost fifteen of them. Before I can start a new game, I move all the pokemon in my party and in my boxes to a different game. Before I send the last of them forward, I catch a new pokemon from the first area of the game, and tell that poor doomed pokemon they'll be honored for their sacrifice. RE: Video Game Atrocities and Altruism - Revan Noctis - 07-24-2017 A few times in the Halos I decided to test the marines and ended up killing quite a lot. In GTA I do enjoy killing many many people. In most halo games though I try to save my allies even the Covenant allies. In Skyrim I swore I would eradicate the aldmeri dominion and have been genociding them since. I tend to try to save npcs whenever I can though. It annoys me in halo especially in reach when you save all the soldiers fighting as hard as hard as you can but they are the even mentioned in the next cutscene. RE: Video Game Atrocities and Altruism - Victor Wolfe - 07-25-2017 For good I did the full paragon run in mass effect, that was pretty fun I usually do the evil run but if I had to pick most evil. In Crusader Kings 2 with the charlamange DLC they made an earlier start date where Scottish culture hadent developed yet (this is kinda debatable but eh) So to make it I had to start as a non Pictish Character and own Pictish land. So I decided to go the historical route and started in Ireland, once I had taken over Ireland I looked into ways I could start to take over those Picts. Turns out their king was a huge sinner and the pope liked me, so I got the entire kingdom. Gave all of it to Irish lords and waited until the Pictish Provinces triggered the cultural melting pot that creates Scots. Flipped culture and now I had a problem, I and my decendants where the only Scots, ruling over 2 kingdoms worth of Irish people. So I went on a killing spree, assassinating as many as I could. If they had kids I would summon Scots (dont question it, its just bringing up a noble in waiting essentially) and have them educate the kids so that their culture could change. Once I had most of my Dukes sorted and was managing the counts pretty well I turned my attention to the petty kingdoms of Wales and England. So to sum up - I started Irish and as soon as I turned Scottish over the next 500 years purged the British isles of all other cultures Every Province, every lord, every peasent. I think thats pretty evil? RE: Video Game Atrocities and Altruism - Amaterasu - 07-26-2017 I probably did more evil stuff but I can barely remember anything. So here's a few stories: In Dark Souls 3 I was summoned by someone when I was in the Mound-Makers (for those who don't know, this lets you coop but also fight the host), and proceeded to co-op with the guy. It was pretty cool, I actually helped him progress through an annoying area and such. Then we get attacked by a large, dangerous mob... and I backstabbed the guy. He ran away from the mob and started spamming attacks at me. I held my shield up and let the mob come up behind him and finish him off. He probably didn't lose a lot since we were near a bonfire but the betrayal... ahh. So good. :v: Another DS3 one, I was offering my summon sign for the Dragonslayer Armor, as a Sunbro this time. The host summons me, we go in, I die after a while. Later I get summoned by someone else who has a phantom that is the same guy who summoned me earlier. They have voice chat enabled. Suddenly the phantom goes "Hey man, that bitch sucks, I summoned him earlier and he died" - something like that. I wanted to leave but the host ran into the bossfight so I said screw it. We win. Now it's my turn, I want to summon some phantoms... and I see that guy's summon sign on the ground. Oh boy. I summon him, head into the bossfight, he helps me while chatting with his pal - does he not realize that his voice chat is enabled? When the DS armor is down to ~30% hp, I whip out my Black Separation crystal in front of him. "Oh shit he's gonna-" I hear, then I kick him out. Good things though? Lots. -I played SWTOR as a Sith Sorcerer and only ever made Light Side choices because I wanted to (not for ingame benefits) -In Undertale I went straight pacifist on a blind run, because how could I attack those adorable monsters?! -There's a few quests in Witcher 3 where choosing the "nice guy" route gets you no reward outside of a "thank you". I still pick that route. And yes - I cheat using wikias, fite me. -I also quit playing Witcher 3 because I was faced with an impossible choice: do I save a bunch of orphans and kill a brainwashed woman and her (admittedly tyrannical) husband, or do I let the children get eaten and save the woman and husband? -I quit watching a Let's Play of some Telltale series game (the one with Bigby wolf I think?) because the player was playing him as an asshole. RE: Video Game Atrocities and Altruism - Alex - 07-26-2017 Despite the fact that I slaughtered people wholesale in Mass Effect and Dragon Age, with little remorse as an 'ends justify the means' thing, I always save all the f**king Little Sisters. Shit, I don't even know what happens when you harvest them. Got a soft spot for kids, I guess. RE: Video Game Atrocities and Altruism - Omni - 07-26-2017 I have a soft spot for animals. Couldn't kill the Rachni queen in my Mass Effect renegade run. Genocide of a sapient, peaceful race who just wanna go home and hide is too much, regardless of any perceived 'risk'. RE: Video Game Atrocities and Altruism - Asriel Dreemurr - 07-26-2017 In Scribblenauts Unmasked, I summoned an evil version of Superman in Wayne Manor and it attacked and killed a lot of people. RE: Video Game Atrocities and Altruism - Sarah Kerrigan - 07-26-2017 I made specifically sure to kill Fenix in Starcraft by using a queen parasite. Instead of giving him the "honorable fight for his life" route, I just one-shot the toss and turn him into little flea-monsters. fitting end for a main character right? Did an FFA match in starcraft where I kept luring all my personal friends into attacking eachother's bases and basically won by making them murder eachother. After half of them had killed eachother I ended it in about a minute with a giant army. |
