@Demmy: as stated above, only one character per player can partake of the event. The other one will simply not encounter any Darklings.

I'm sure that the other character can encounter/fight darklings (you saying if Seventeen went to the Steppes he would just not see any darklings?). That character just can't, you know, win. They're essentially an NPC for the purpose of that particular struggle.

As stated, only one character at a time per player. The elevated state of emergency hasn't changed that.

Which I assume is to keep people from OM whoring via having Primes and Secondaries running in all the DD threads. Even if they can't "win", it CAN add to your reward OM.

I would say (and Shawn can confirm or refute) that you can have your NPCs and alternate characters take part in the general ruckus, but not actually enter Nebula Space, qualify for rewards like artefacts, help your 'main'/chosen character for this event, or have an effect on the actual ending. That's basically the intent of the alternate character/NPC rules.

Hey so, regarding the Vasty Deep and shit breaking loose. When I get Matrix back to Cinnabar, what's the status I can expect the island to be in? Have the darklings reached there yet? I am bad at the geography of the verses.
