The fall of Arthas is probably one of my favorite stories from Warcraft out of all of them. You're talking about a guy who sacrificed EVERYTHING to fight a war and unlike Illidan he didn't get a second chance. Ner'Zhul had him and that was it. I used to watch the Lich King cinematic for WoW over and over just because of the amount of emotion it held. It was extremely powerful. Every. Single. Time.
Be Arthas. Knowing you, you'd fucking kill at it.

I vote Gengar.
S/he seems much more of a departure from your other characters. I will say I would never be caught playing two characters from the same universe. So I don't recommend Arthas. I think you could do Venom, but I think Gengar is the much more different choice and would be more interesting a choice.

I'd still like to see Venom, honestly. The benefit of the symbiote for you, I'd think, is just that his personality, while defined, is also a little more ambiguous, and a little more changeable. I'd say he has a lot of room to change and develop as a character, which might be a way to mitigate some of the cons. Seeing Smybiotic characters working with primes is one of my personal fave things to read on the site (And something I've always rather wanted to try doing, if roleplaying with me ever interested ya). Not sure if it'd be your favorite to play, but it's the choice I'd love to see you play most.
Arthas I would love to see you do, honestly. If you plan on using him, and playing him, I hope you'll have a slot or two to interact with others. it is a story similar to illidan's, but how he deals with his problems and how he works as a character feels very different, so I'd say you might not have too many options with losing interest. It is another warcraft character, but if that doesn't bug ya, he wouldn't be a bad pic.
Gengar: Lots of fun personality wise, not *that* much special, but still a pretty cool idea. might also give you a character who's also pretty fun compared to the boy scout if a bit of a smart aleck Jim or the very serious and stoic illidan. He's the one I might not find the coolest of these choices but in terms of working as a refreshing level of difference from your other characters.... I think he's a good fit.

Change him up a bit if you need to but I feel that having a black sludge monster perhaps could have a good redemption arc or something. I mean aren't the symbiotes supposed to be a peaceful race anyway?

The peaceful thing was a retcon, if I remember right, so I don't normally consider it.
