Re: Moderator interest check - Dawnika Snow - 09-27-2015

Maybe once I get a little more experience with the Omniverse and you are taking mods I will apply. I do have all the rule pages saved on my phone, and I do stay moderately active if I dont run my data dry. Usually on everyday for at least a few hours. Although like I said I still to familiarize myself with Omniverse.

Re: Moderator interest check - Trixie - 09-28-2015

Ill throw my hat into this ring. I can be an update grunt to keep the cogs and wheels turning.

Re: Moderator interest check - Lemmy Koopa - 09-28-2015

Maybe once I get more experience on this site. After all, I still have a lot to learn despite of being my 3rd - 4th month here in general.

Re: Moderator interest check - Jak Mar - 09-28-2015

Maybe... I might try to throw my hat here.

Re: Moderator interest check - Yu Kanda - 09-28-2015

My hat was already in the Ring. Ignore the PM i send you Omni, didn't realise this was open once more.

Re: Moderator interest check - Omni - 09-28-2015

Just to say that a lot of people have come to me to volunteer being able to help with approvals, quest reviews and some of the less intricate stuff. I'm definitely looking to leverage some of our member talent and spread things out rather than have mods with too much work and members who are sitting waiting frustrated. This is actually my main goal right now, so just to let people know I'm listening and definitely on the same page. Suggestions are welcome too.

Re: Moderator interest check - Miranda Frost - 09-28-2015

T-T i thought this thing was continiously open (as there was no post to say they weren't looking anymore)

Like Yu, my hat is already in the ring sooooo -throws in his shoes- there.

Re: Moderator interest check - Sasuke Uchiha - 09-28-2015

With Gilgamesh stepping down I would like to offer myself as a candidate.

I frequent the Omni a few times a day so my activity shouldn’t be an issue and I have Skype up all day as well, so am easily reached.

I don’t know the rules in and out, but I know them well enough that I don’t need many questions answered and I know where to find the answer when I do.

As for being fearless, I have always been one to voice my opinion, so I would have no problem addressing anything needing correction, while remembering to keep my bedside manner intact. I am in sales, so I have experience with people and keeping a good line of communication. Essentially, being a dick would lose me a sale, so, I consciously keep my dick in check. xD

Quote:-Be prepared for me to crush all your hopes and dreams. Without being a dick about it, being a staff member doesn't mean I'm going to necessarily take your creative input more seriously than anyone else's. I like hearing ideas from the entire memberbase, but there's a reason I put on my staff page "I've thrown away way more ideas than I've used". You get used to it. I like this method because it allows us to get stuff done.

I already give a lot of creative input around here, so I am no stranger to this. xD!

Am I a perfect candidate? No. I have my faults as everyone does, but I have experience being staff in the past and generally want the best for the Omniverse. This should be obvious, as I have won two medals here for “Most Helpful”.

Thank you for your consideration, oh great and colorless god!

..actually, now that you have put it that way, perhaps I can give it a chance. We are lacking in those areas of the site especially with Mickey and Straz being mostly inactive. (It's the school year folks and plus jobs.)

Plus, Gilgamesh's resignation so yeah..

Re: Moderator interest check - Demetri Malius - 09-28-2015

I would like to be able to help. I'm on quite often, and honestly a bit more than I should. I usually just hang around chat, so I would have the time to go through a lot of the mod stuff, even though I'm in school. Can't say I know everything but I'll do my best to do approvals and such according to the rules the best I know.

(Also i nominate sasuke for mod, always has really helpful input and advice)

Re: Moderator interest check - Omni - 09-28-2015

As the ranks system has changed I'm closing this topic and moving it over to here: New Ranks Feedback and Discussion/Applications

Re: Moderator interest check - Omni - 10-09-2015

Re-opening this thread for ongoing applications. Please include whether you feel you would be suited for the position of Sprite, Angel, or Cherub

Re: Moderator interest check - Stormy - 10-18-2015

I think I would be good for being a sprite. I've been a lot more active lately since I've become more interested in the things going on around the board. I would love to be able to grade posts for exceptional status and approving quests would be a good way to find out what new things are going on around the site. I've always been one to offer advice when I know the rules well enough to do so, and being staff would motivate me to learn the system so that I can do just that. Posting bounties sounds easy enough, and PMing new members about a rule break might be something I'd do even if I'm not staff. After all, when something doesn't get caught sooner, it just becomes annoying later. And calculating participation bonuses might be a little annoying at first, but once I know what to do, it'll start to be easy. With all that said, if I'm ever unclear about something, I never hesitate to go through the rules a few times or ask someone else for advice, so that won't be a problem. As for availability, I do have a skype that I check fairly often, and I often refresh my browser as well, so I would likely see a PM quickly. I always try to reply as fast as possible if it's something that actually needs a response.

Re: Moderator interest check - Omni - 11-18-2015

We are still looking for staff members to help out, mainly with join forms and move approvals but also with things like grading story posts, doing fortnightly updates and generally being a positive, friendly role model for the community. We won't make you do anything you're not comfortable with doing and we are grateful for any help we get, so please come forward if there is any of this you feel you would be able to help with. Smile Thank you.

(Having your profile links properly formatted is a rite of passage Confusedhh: )

Re: Moderator interest check - Roronoa Zoro - 11-30-2015

I've sent a pm to both Omni and Proto! Smile

Re: Moderator interest check - Gildarts - 12-13-2015

PM sent your way, Omni.

Re: Moderator interest check - Kopaka - 02-22-2016

I'm interested in Moderating now, specifically with an emphasis on NPC management and Storyteller activity, including keeping track of bounties and writing responses.

I don't have a better way to get in touch with me other than gmail right now, sorry.
