The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 6 million Zulenkans are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.
The medium-sized, well-organized government prioritizes Law & Order, although Defense, Education, and Healthcare are also considered important, while Spirituality is ignored. The average income tax rate is 39.3%.
The Zulenkan economy, worth 301 billion deniers a year, is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Trout Farming, Cheese Exports, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Black market activity is frequent. Average income is 50,241 deniers, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.6 times as much as the poorest.
Daisy chain gangs plant flowers and pick up litter, Leader's peyote-induced "let's all just be friends" speech is trending world-wide, mournful opera fans place bouquets of roses at a 3000 capacity parking lot, and carpet bombing has decimated Brasilistan's landscape and population. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zulenka's national animal is the wolf, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
