3 - Yes. Yes. Of course, since these aren't lethal fights, someone could always opt not to take it, but Artefact Rules be Artefact Rules.
4 - I wouldn't see why not, but, just to prevent this from happening, one writer couldn't take up the top 2 spots (Champ and No1 Contender).

Okay.
If you are willing (and able, physically, in-character) to go to the Vasty Deep and get your combat on, please re-confirm here. Your character will have to go to the OFL main office in the Vasty Deep, where this will take place.
I also require some judges who will not be involved.
My intention is to set up an tournament to determine the inaugural OFL champion. Fight rules are as in the OP.
Reconfirm only if you are able to go. Remember that this canon. Your character may not be in two places at once.

Is it at all possible that we can teleport to the League for fights instead of physically travel there? I would love to be able to do this, but unless I can maintain an ongoing storyline ELSEWHERE, I really don't foresee myself wanting to stay in the Vast Deeps indefinitely.
Like, if I could pop out of my storylines real fast, then pop back in, I would be wayyyyy more willing to partcipate in this long term

Fights can be held in any of the League's various properties. If your prime has been to the League's HQ, they can even simply be 'callbacked' there at their convenience. Otherwise, contestants can determine their battle area and what it looks like.
Said HQ is in the Deep, which I believe is mentioned elsewhere in that post. Once you go there and sync your Communicator, you can teleport back at your convenience for fights and be sent back to your home verse.

I'm going to set the tentative date for this as next Saturday, the 17th. You need to have your character in the Vasty Deep by that point in time if you want a chance to become champion of the league.
