RE: A Exploration Of The New and Uncivilized - Kalli - 08-07-2016

By the time they had reached Whitthorn's pickup, most of the front row had left, riding off toward the gate and being riddled with bullet holes as they did so. The Eldest was brought to the rear passenger seat, Aoki as well, with Kalli sitting in the front seat next to Jeff, who took it upon himself to drive. His right sleeve was in tatters, having been used to cover Whitthorn's wounds, the lizard himself either unconscious or sleeping. Ahead of them were dust clouds kicked up by the escaping automobiles, avoiding the bullets and rockets which came from the town behind them, some stray rounds even made contact with those still stuck trying to get their hijacked cars working, metal pings joining the noise of battle. One unlucky group of prisoners had their driver shot once the wheels started turning, the means of transport they sought to use becoming their tomb as it flipped out of control, soon being met by a rocket that engulfed the wreck. Kalli gave a concerned look, saying "Jeff, how goes that escape?"

The engine died after a second of turning the ignition, coughing and sputtering before falling silent, followed with Jeff's cursing and muttering as he would turn the key again. "Working on it!" he stated, eyeing the keys for every time he turned them, left leg hopping with anxiety. Even with bullets ricocheting off of the truck he maintained his focus, sweating with the fear that they'd never escape this place. After four more tries and three bullets bouncing off the front of the hood, the pickup finally had a consistent sound coming from it's engine, awakened and ready to move. Before any word could be said about their victory he put all his force into the peddle, the wheels kicking up sand and rolling out toward the gate with a ever increasing speed.

Death mounted higher and higher the further they went along, the unfortunate majority being burned, torn apart or shot before they could even make it passed the hole in the wall. Their pickup bounced and slowed, rolling over the flat gate door itself as well as the stone laying ahead of them. It didn't stop them however, driving past it with the sight of the cave entrance far in the distance. After they had made it past the wall itself they sped up once more, debris well behind them. Other few vehicles sped past, small buggies with numerous passengers, or motorcycles whose drivers never turned to look away from their upcoming exit. Actually, it seemed everyone was looking ahead at the cave entrance, putting all faith in that it wouldn't suddenly collapse before they rolled on through.

Though those chances of escape were destroyed as fast as they gate following a noise. A very familiar noise.

A black truck, corpses dangling from it's side while it's horn echoed through the cavern with Malgore sitting on top, looking outward with his same thoughtful yet empty of emotion pose. The beast that was his truck was louder than anything around it, and it symbolized that the bandits and cannibals were now to begin their chase. Panic easily overcame any who were unprepared, only furthering the disorganized nature of the escaping prisoners already. There were some shouts, others cried out to open fire at the bandits encroaching behind them, meanwhile Jeff kept his foot placed on the peddle and hands firmly around the wheel, as focused on their exit as he could be, ignoring what was going on around and behind them.

It wasn't long before Kalli decided to join in fighting back against the chasing cannibals, stick her head out the window at first. A bullet whizzed passed, causing it to turn and look behind them; two vehicles collided with each other, the bandits leaping on and beating the prisoners senselessly, or plainly shooting them if the odds looked dim. The prime took her rifle, stick her torso out of the doorway and sitting on the window's edge, stomach facing the car. Once her finger was around the trigger and rifle pointing toward the bandit vehicle, she squeezed the trigger numerous times, blood splattering and the bodies of the cannibals halted their breath. Those crawling around the prisoner's hijacked transport would fall into the sand, bleeding and rolling further away from them as the pickup got closer to freedom.

That was nowhere near the last intervention however, for as soon prisoners were able to escape, three more bandit vehicles appeared behind it. Two buggies, and a motorcycle with two cannibals on it, both shooting wildly at Whitthorn's truck, crossing in front of their comrades and going right behind the pickup itself. Kalli responded to the exchange of gunfire with a few shots herself, missing the motorcycle by a hair for every shot, the driver clearly much more competent then the rest of the bandits chasing after them. Once it was close enough, the driver leaped off and took hold onto the flatbed, his passenger taking control of the motorcycle. Pulling the trigger, Kalli's rifle emitted a empty 'click.' The bandit took this opportunity to pull his gun on her- only to riddled with three holes himself, falling off and disappearing into the sand. Aoki lowered the pistol, looking up toward Kalli, who nodded approvingly before slipping back into the vehicle.

There were a few more gunshots coming from outside their pickup, the bandit driving the motorcycle fell off, slamming into the sand and his skidding to a halt on it's side. And the two other bandit buggies were quickly shot to pieces by prisoners from all across their disorganized escape.

"We're out." Jeff stated plainly, looking ahead as he had been.
"Where do we go from here?" Kalli asked, looking at him before looking at the unconscious Whitthorn.

Before Jeff could reply, a explosion boomed behind them, rocks fell from the ceiling of the cave, another explosion following soon after. Two cars slid to a halt outside, prisoners on the roofs of each reloaded their rocket launcher with shaking hands. Once it was loaded, they fired again, giving clear idea of what they were planning to do. Once Jeff was clear from the falling rock, he too slid to a halt, the other hijacked vehicles doing the same, all watching as the cave's structure seemed to come tumbling down before them in the night-sky canyon.

After the eighth explosion, the cave entrance fully collapsed, the chasing bandits disappearing behind the boulders and rock that rolled onto each other, covering the entrance in it's entirety. Everyone began to breath a little easier, a few faint cheers given out.

"They wont be getting out of that any time soon." Aoki said hopefully

But he was quite wrong, the sound of the truck's horn growing ever louder. Malgore's truck slammed right through the rock, seeming almost undamaged as his escorts followed through the rammed pathway, prepared to continue their skirmish.

RE: A Exploration Of The New and Uncivilized - Kalli - 08-21-2016

Gunfire erupted as soon as the two sides had each other in their sights, vehicles turning about and scratching against each other, boarding actions and explosions, all of this raging on down in a deep canyon in the middle of nowhere.

The pickup sped off into a random direction as soon as Malgore's truck slammed through the rock. They kept driving, farther and farther from the fight, until it was background noise to them. Then once another path in the canyon appeared, the pickup slid to a halt, turning all the way about so the front was pointing toward the battle. Kalli then looked behind her at those in the passenger seats.

"You three need to hide here, wait until the battles over." she stated, loading another clip into her rifle. Jeff checked his own looted weapon as well.

Aoki looked in disbelief "Are you insane? You two are-"

"Keep that pistol with you by the way."

"Listen, I can help-"

"Oh, and if we don't make it back, get as far from here as you can."

"It doesn't have to-"

"There should be a town if you head to Carrefore."

Aoki raised his voice "Can you listen to me for just a moment!?" both Jeff and the prime looked, Aoki continued "I can help, I'm not wounded, I'm not afraid and I want to fight. You helped my people, so at the least I owe you."

The Eldest maintained her silence, Whitthorn was barely conscious and looking in confusion at all the noise, Aoki seemed ready to punch something and the prime was locked in a stare with Jeff, who both were wondering if to agree with the young man's request or not. After a few seconds, they looked back at him "Alright, but we're leaving the other two here." the passenger doors opened later, Whitthorn being carried and The Eldest limping over, both taking shelter behind a rock near the canyon wall. Once they were safely hidden behind the rock, the other three would speed off back into the truck and driving toward the battle in an instant, pickup coming in at full speed.

The closer they got, the more intense it became; details of gore and wreckage would become more prominent, gunshots grew increasingly threatening. But they didn't get caught by the violent, they drove past it, through it and around it, all the while Kalli and Aoki did what they could by firing into the fray. The repetition that was battle; blood spewing, screaming, the explosions and gunfire, their minds didn't bother acknowledging it, all of that was apart of the cacophony of war. By no means were the three calm, but their minds were certainly desensitized by all that had happened before, and all that was happening now.

"Whats the plan, Jeff?" Kalli yelled, gunfire ricocheting once more off of their vehicle, like hail the bullets never stopped, constantly denting and even penetrating the vehicle's exterior. None of them had been hit, yet. The prime was accurate as ever however, even through all the vehicles clashing, circling and chasing, she was still able squeeze the trigger and secure a kill.

Jeff replied, barely audible as the pickup speeding up towards a familiar black truck "I'm going to get close to Malgore's truck and you'll board it. Me and Aoki will stay here fending off any escorts." after that Kalli nodded to him in silent agreement. Aoki was less then pleased with this plan, but remained silent on his opinion, focusing on the battle going on around them.

Once the truck was right beside them, Jeff didn't hesitate "Alright, we're close, go!"
Kalli kicked open the pickup door, slinging her rifle over her shoulder and climbing onto the roof of the vehicle. Once she was standing, the prime leaped from the roof to the truck's container- claws digging into the metal with a sharp screech. From there, she kept climbing, brushing aside the metal plates with candles which would fall off the side, disappearing into the sand. The prime grunted, pulling herself onto the container and standing straight once more, staring right at the back of Malgore's chair that was so thoroughly tied down to the truck.

RE: A Exploration Of The New and Uncivilized - Kalli - 09-06-2016

It had been a long two days.

At first, it all started with scouting out the outsiders and their supposed well armed convoy. A collaboration of numerous peoples who were only out to gather resources and food deep within the Dunes. They were pitiful to Malgore, a disgusting band of mercenaries who had no purpose other than destruction and looting, dedicating themselves to whatever paid more than the last. Truly he enjoyed killing them, so unrelated to his fellow cannibals or cousins of the tribe, the less outsiders there were, the less of a threat was posed to him and his people. But now, his town built from scrap, his people and civilization that he fed and protected, it had been destroyed in a matter of hours. All thanks to the efforts of a single prime who not only worked with said mercenaries, but also who was slowly approaching him.

He did not experience disgust when it came to her. In truth, he admired the audacity of the prime's plans and efforts, to constantly push for their own goals despite the threat of death or torture. In a way, there was a strong regret to Malgore if he was to win, for capturing, torturing and killing a prime would surely gain influence among others; having one on your side however? It would be more than enough to carve out a civilization in this middle of nowhere. But he had nothing to offer, and she was too far down her path of saving a dying people and helping the outnumbered mercenaries.

Perhaps what I did was wrong Malgore thought plainly, right hand tightening in grip around the handle of a stone pole Maybe I was the fool, to try and defend the outcasts that live here. he then would rise from his chair, standing at a full eight feet while pulling the stone pole upward, revealing that at the end of said pole was a massive stone box. A hammer, simply put Even so, I shall accept my fate. By fighting an opponent truly worthy of my match.

With a single powerful swing, the chair that was so thoroughly tied down to the container flew off into the distance, straps breaking from the pure force applied to the piece of worn out furniture. The hammer's top then slammed onto the container's roof again, Malgore looking down at the prime who was attempting to sneak up on him. A 'thud' from the hammer caused the entire container to creak, including a dent in the metallic surface. Kalli did as she had been trained, rifle raised and pointed at the smug bandit leader's face, barbute helmet protecting it.

"So, this is where you wish to die, bones broken and body tossed into the sands? I shall oblige with pleasure." Malgore stated, tossing the hammer up into the air and catching it with both hands, tightly gripping the stone weapon.

Kalli was quick to reply "I know neither of us can back out of this, I'm beyond the point of being your enemy with all the damage I've done, and you're a outcast who survives off of the death of others and relies on cannibalism to survive. But if its any comfort, I hope your death is quick."

He closed his eyes and shook his head, pitying the reply and seemingly nonchalant about the vehicular battle going on around them. "Have a warrior's spirit prime, its time to show me what you've learned fighting my soldiers." his head stopped and eyes opened, clenching the hammer ever tighter. A deep breath and a few seconds later, he would rise the melee weapon above his head, charging forth toward the prime with a yell to be heard all throughout the canyon.
