RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Moon - 03-11-2016 Noodle will be going for the Deeps one, probably. Us Vasty deep low-level newbies need to stick together. I most definitely would. PM me or whatever so we can create a game plan. Could you have a group of people writing together, each INDIVIDUALLY on the quest? With only one person being able to carry the shard outta there, seems kinda wonky to increase the word count for dead weight, right? RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Alex - 03-12-2016 You mean like... "Sinestro is doing the quest for the artefact at the end, and his fellow writer, Hal Jordan, is along for the ride"? RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Dark Link - 03-12-2016 (03-12-2016, 06:47 AM)Thaal Sinestro Wrote: Could you have a group of people writing together, each INDIVIDUALLY on the quest? You could, though it should be noted that such a thread wouldn't be eligible for a Participation bonus. After all, the point of that bonus is to reward instances where members/characters are working with each other rather than merely writing alongside one another in the same place. Quote:With only one person being able to carry the shard outta there, seems kinda wonky to increase the word count for dead weight, right? It depends. While cooperation does increase the word count, it also makes it more likely you will secure the artefact in the face of any opposition. Plus, some people find it easier to write with others than they do writing by themselves. RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Schwi Dola - 03-12-2016 Omni ruled quite the opposite, DL. http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=845&pid=41950#pid41950 As stated by Kakashi when I questioned whether or not Guu participating in my Quest thread warranted a participation bonus given that she was only there for a couple posts in a transitional period. But I suppose it could be different if the characters never interacted. RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Thaal Sinestro - 03-12-2016 (03-12-2016, 07:21 AM)Alex Wrote: You mean like... "Sinestro is doing the quest for the artefact at the end, and his fellow writer, Hal Jordan, is along for the ride"? I'm basically just worried because there are 2 people writing, and at least one has to write like, 20k words, and because there's only 1 "winner" of the quest, it just seems totally pointless to collaborate if it's only gonna make it harder? RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Sans - 03-12-2016 After some additional thought, I decided that, after the faction quest, I could potentially have Ballad try to attempt this, if only to please King Breunor to gain more favor for the dwarves. As for working together, I suppose Ballad and Jones could work with each other to get the star piece (then again, this will most likely result in only one of us getting the piece, so... it won't end well for me.) RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - The Rogue - 03-12-2016 So after Connir creates his faction, he might go after the Vasty Deep's or Ashen Steep's pieces. RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Erik Vrell - 03-12-2016 Erik may be going after the Camelot piece RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Gildarts - 03-23-2016 Forgive me if this is a stupid question but I'm trying to figure out and clarify what implications the "collaborative " quests have verses the more difficult ones. Will a mod or someone grading the quest be expected to prompt us? Such as the Camelot quest letter A. Will someone else be required to be the astronomer ? RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Alex - 03-23-2016 The A. quest involves working with the astronomer NPCs to acquire the artefact. The B. quest involves stealing their work (or killing them) and going to get it yourself. RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Gildarts - 03-23-2016 (03-23-2016, 07:21 PM)Alex Wrote: The A. quest involves working with the astronomer NPCs to acquire the artefact. I see, thanks for clarifying. If I wanted to change the order of events required in the quest minutely like first explain to my character what it is this is "all about" (the history and beginning of the legend) and then have the astronomer offer to tell her the star piece's secret (-locations/leads) later after the task, for the sense of the story I hope it wouldn't impact the outcome too substantially. RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Yu Kanda - 03-24-2016 Kanda will start the pale moors quest as soon as he is finished in the Nexus getting his ass handed to him. Just a polite headsup prewriting has begun
RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - The Humble Sage - 04-01-2016 Quick Clarification: Are we the ones coming up with whatever task we have to do? or are there already some pre-planned? RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Paul Atreides - 04-27-2016 Once I'm done with this thread I might go after the endless Dunes one. Anyone else doing that? RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Dr. McNinja - 04-27-2016 I'd like to go for the Pale Moors one, if anyone is interested? RE: Legend of the Seven Stars - Aadibah - 04-28-2016 @Paul Atreides I'm currently writing for that quest as well. You wanna team up or something? Almost done with this thread with Matrix. What is the thread name? I'll read up on it. |
