Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Albert Wesker - 12-10-2015

I'll toss my hat in the ring for judging.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Dawnika Snow - 12-11-2015

Okay, can you go turn by turn to keep track of the fight? Make sure everything is being done fairly.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Albert Wesker - 12-11-2015

I can most certainly do that.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Albert Wesker - 12-11-2015

OKAY DOUBLE POST WHOOP YWAH

So far so good. As of the end of round 1 no truly major damage has been doled out, but the both of you earn a shiny point of damage. Enjoy it.

Also, one thing of note, Akame, your mini profile postbit thing there, your profile link still links to Dawnika's profile. Might want to get that sorted.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Dawnika Snow - 12-11-2015

Thank you colonel, I didn't know. I thought I had fixed that but maybe it was Teal and Roses stuff. I'll fix that now.

@Dawson Hey, Im not saying your post was bad, but I wanna give you some advice to better yourself. What I really noticed was you didn't take control of Akame at all. In otder to make itfair, I sustained damage in my own post from a cut. Because Dawson didn't get anywhere close to hurting her. Akame has high tec but Dawson can still get cuts on her. Take this mock fight as an advantage of learning how to control other characters.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Albert Wesker - 12-11-2015

In the vein of advice, I have a bit to offer the both of you.

The word limit is 800 words. Neither of you came anywhere close to that limit, severely limiting what you can accomplish in each post. When every word counts, that's a serious blow, limiting exposure to your characters and their mindsets and actions. Try and use as many words as possible, do as much as you can in each post, to give more room for your end scores to be appropriately judged.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Moon - 12-11-2015

Right then. I'll try. (though really, I'm not sure I trust myself. Let me know if I screw something up.)

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Dawnika Snow - 12-12-2015

Okay so I forgot I work today and I wont be off until 1-1:30ish. I will post as soon as I can afterwards.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Dawnika Snow - 12-13-2015

Oooookaaaaay scratch that. Im too pissed and done with everythi g to post a reply right now. Sorry.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Roger Smith - 12-16-2015

Round 2 of things has concluded. Here we go:

Akame: 3 damage
— Assorted cuts and damage
— Minor Injury: Lacerated left hand

Dawson: 5 damage
— Assorted cuts and bruises
— Moderate Injury: Impaled Stomach

Preliminary Thoughts: I need to reiterate my earlier sentiments regarding making full use of the word limits at your disposal, especially for Dawson. Barely used an eighth of the space available to you, bud. Not lookin' good for things to be judged on.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Dawnika Snow - 12-16-2015

Im pretty sure I was close to 700 on my second post. I tried my best to get as close as possible.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Moon - 12-16-2015

Okay. I got a real good post in.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Dawnika Snow - 12-16-2015

Gonna read it soon

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Moon - 12-16-2015

Cool. You may be mildly shocked, though.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Roger Smith - 12-17-2015

Mid-round judgment time here.

Generally speaking, completely severing someone's limb is a tough proposition at the best of times, even with a powerful, focused attack or a Super attack. From just regular attacks, even winding up for a good swing, it's not going to be that easy, much less when there's a tie between the attacker's ATK and the target's DEF.

Sure, in a situation like this in real life — since a 2 in both ATK and DEF is about the level of a well-trained, athletic and resilient human — a blow like that would probably cut clean through, or carve a nasty wound. But those kinds of things go out the window just a little bit due to Omniphysics taking precedence. Obviously, with proper planning and agreement between players, this sort of thing can be thrown even further out the window, provided it can still be jiggered up to fit within the system, but generally-speaking it's still a rough subject without a vast difference (I would personally say 5 or more) difference in ATK vs DEF, barring Super Moves.

The bottom line for all this is Akame's leg is still in one piece, suffering from a Moderate Injury at best. It's certainly debilitating and will most assuredly impede performance, but it certainly isn't completely severed.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Dawnika Snow - 12-17-2015

Thank you Adam. I didn't think severing a limb would be possible without some sort of prerequisite , or at least notifying me before hand. Of course the attack here is really going to impede Akames movement, so the same effect is in place but the injury isn't so lethal.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Moon - 12-17-2015

Welp. I thought I had something going with that.

Now, I am royally screwed. GG.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Dawnika Snow - 12-17-2015

You actually slowed Akame down a lot. She's not gonna move any more than half her normal food speed. A great post I must admit.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Dawnika Snow - 12-18-2015

Sorry I forgot to reply last night :psy: Akame needs to pull a Karate Kid move here.

Re: Akame needs a warm-up. - Moon - 12-20-2015

Holy hell. It's down to a goddamn wire here.

Colonel. It's in your hands.
