Re: A Green Tinted Sky - The Rogue - 12-13-2015 Connor looked at her and saw her analyze him. He looked down, "You don't belive me do you...." He reaches for Lycöan and sees her tense up any more, "Wait", he says in a comanding tone. He drops the magazine of Lycöan and pulls the slide back, thus ejecting the round in the chamber. He catches the bullet and re-holsters Lycöan. Then he pulls out Lupa and does the same. "Do you at least trust me that I am telling the truth?", he says as he puts his hands in a 'I surrender' type pose. He nudges his guns away with the tip of hie toes. Then he inches closer, "If you are who I think you are, then you were about 50 years old when I was born, 73 ish when I was taken, but let me ask you something, who is the current CEO of Lupercal Enterprises?" Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Clownpiece - 12-13-2015 Somerled’s gaze remained fixed, staring at the soldier and the man. He did not see out of his eyes however, staying deep within his concentration. Through his concentration, the rainbow-colored element slowly coalesced, and soon it would be taking form. His other half watched with his senses, intrigued with the meeting that was going on. It’s not everyday that you witness two people from different times meeting, after all. Sonny made special note of the soldier’s not-so-subtle preparations to leap forward and kick the shit out of the man she was facing. Push might come to shove here, and if it did, then he’d probably have to spring into action. Which Somerled probably wouldn’t approve of, given that he’d have to steal more of his magic, which gets painful. He also made a mental note to tell her to work on body control. Telegraphing that hard is bad for your health, mostly because it makes you transparent as all hell. Then, despite this obvious telegraphing, or maybe in the face of it, the man actually unloaded his weapons. Sonny’s interest only grew more intense from there, this looked like something he wanted to be a part of. Maybe, if he was discreet about it, he could take enough magic to manifest for at least a few seconds... He began his own concentration. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Aadibah - 12-14-2015 When the man completely disarmed himself as a show of peace, Aadibah took advantage of his arms and mind being on the action. She gripped her assault rifle, whipping it up and holding the weapon only a foot and a half away from the man's face. Her finger rested across the trigger guard. " Samiale Hound Sr." She replied. "I personally met the company's mercenaries on the field, sent in to investigate valuable oil assets after I had fought and bled for them from the bastard communists." "So we both know the name of a CEO. What does that do for the situation? So far you've just spilled shit out of your mouth and tried to sell it to me as gold." Aadibah took a step forward, setting the end of her rifle barrel against the man's forehead. "But you seem to know where we are, now cut the bull and tell me the truth." The soldier could feel a small headache growing. This whole thing had sent her insides spinning. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - The Rogue - 12-14-2015 He looked down the barrel of the gun and stared at Aabidah darkly. "I tried being peaceful...", he says, his voice laced with slight annoyance. He quickly grabs the barrel of the gun and points the muzzle away from him, Aabidah squeezes the trigger in surprise and lets off a few rounds. Connor pulls her toward him and kicks her in the sternum, while still pulling on her gun. The resultant force cause the gun to be ripped out of her hands. He disarms it in a similar manner to his own guns, then tosses the rifle and the magazine in separate directions, keeping the bullet and slipping it into one of the inner pockets of his jacket. "Nope, you don't know the CEO. The CEO is currently my father Samiale Hound Jr., I am Connor Hound, born 2050 August 13, Saturday, 6:34 pm, my grandfather died of a heart attack in 2058, he was 79, he willed my father to be in charge of the company and of Marethyu.", Connor says to her, his voice thick with sadness, still reminiscing about that time in his life. He lets out a deep sigh, "I read plans in my grandfather's office about a device similar to this, so I don't know if that was from some treachery of his, and if it was that I am deeply sorry. But this is a good replacement of my HandPad, plus this has some modern parts, like the holoscreen. I hope we can at least be allies, if it will say you, we can always take this apart and study it when we have time. Not now though, I want to make a place for myself here, maybe start something like Lupercal and Marethyu.", Connor says genuinely as he takes a step back. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Clownpiece - 12-14-2015 The sound of gunfire reverberated through the air, and the rainbow coalescence vibrated for a moment as the concentrating monster startled. He retained his composure, however, and with it, his progress. If any trouble were to come his way, he would trust in his other half to warn him. This concentration didn’t hold well for very much longer, however, and the form shuddered as his mind wandered, making himself a mental note to punch someone later because these distractions were not to be tolerated. Taking a deep breath, Somerled entirely regained his concentration, and the saddle began taking an actual form. A very spiky, angry form. Sonny, on the other hand, jumped from the gunshot. Or rather, he jumped as much as being a consciousness trapped in someone else’s body can, which is more like a mental “Oh shit!” than anything else. This strong lapse in concentration shattered the spell he was weaving, and the magic he had borrowed to create his own temporary body dissipated. Unable to curse outwardly, because doing so would piss off his other half, he cursed inwardly, and turned his consciousness to continue observing the events to see who he could yell at for this distraction when he had the time and body to. This, of course, lead absolutely nowhere. He had no idea what to make of this situation. The man was still trying to put his best pacifist foot forward in getting along with the shell-shocked soldier, despite all her attempts at being contrary, and Sonny didn’t know whether he should be impressed with his dedication or sighing at his stupidity. What he did know, however, was that if the soldier decided she was gonna make another attempt at an attack, however she would go about that, he would bring down the swift hammer of “shut the fuck up” in between the both of them and make peace forcefully. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Aadibah - 12-15-2015 Aadibah, clutching her chest and breathing hard, face red, and eyes wild, was about to chuck the kid across the... whatever place they were in, until he said: Quote:I am Connor Hound, born 2050 August 13, Saturday, 6:34 pm 2050...? The hell? Now he was supposed to be from the future? A bit of Aadibah's anger subsided for plain confusion and dumbfounded-ness, the fact that he had disarmed her and then disarmed himself adding on to it. Then a thought occurred to her. How the fuck had he disarmed her? She should have been able to lift him off the ground the second he grabbed her and the suit... "Alqaraf!" She cursed loudly, checking her own touchpad on her arm and running a diagnostics check. Her compressor had been completely shut off, and the separator tank was just about- "Fuck!" Suddenly, weight came down on her arms and legs, and especially her back. Aadibah's whole body collapsed to floor, and she now lay like a turtle on her back. She could still move her limbs, though it required effort, but she was completely pinned. The tank was now empty. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - The Rogue - 12-16-2015 Connor couldn't help it, the first chuckle escaped his lips, then he broke down into bellyaching laughter. After a few minutes he collects himself and calms down. He takes a deep breath, “See I told you, outdated. The suits we have use solar power. Our solar batteries hold more energy, and have a lot of output, Drogo Corp. has been developing and innovating solar batteries since 2064”, he smiles then bends down. “Do you want help? Because there is nothing wrong with asking”, he says warmly. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Clownpiece - 12-16-2015 The air sat heavy in silence, the laughing of the man having finally faded after a few minutes. Somerled now stood, holding a saddle fit for a moose, and stared bewildered at the sight before him. The soldier that had been so aggressive earlier was just kind of laying there, like a puddle on the ground. Hanging above her, the man leaned, offering a warm smile and a helping hand. “God damn I zone out for a few minutes and suddenly I miss everything,” the storm monster whined, a disappointed look crossing his face. Fixing his posture, back to a friendly person, he stepped forward a few paces, rejoining the conversation. “So what’s going on here?” Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Aadibah - 12-16-2015 Aadibah was screaming through her teeth, spilling out just about every single profanity she knew. "Damn it all!" She managed to lift her hand to the touchpad screen on her left arm, "I swear to go one of these days I'm dismantling you for parts..." She ran a diagnostic check, and the system registered a possible leak on her shoulder. It began pumping the last of the air into the spot, and sure enough Aadibah could here a hissing sound in her right ear. Quote:“Do you want help? Because there is nothing wrong with asking” Aadibah looked back up at the man, trying to use her eyes to give the message of "please just fuck off". Well, she had been doing that this whole time, but this guy was persistent. Still, he had done everything to present himself as a non-threat, even tossing away the rifle when she was disarmed and vulnerable. Even if this was part of some larger plan of deception, the psycho was still offering his hand in assistance. At this point it was the only real option, and if he was gonna kill her there wasn't much Aadibah could do about it. "Alright." She finally gave in, "You wanna help me? There's a roll of duct tape in my vest, upper left pocket, right over my chest." The soldier sluggishly gestured to it. "Right now I don't have the dexterity or strength, but you could take out the roll and use the whole to thing cover this-" Her head cocked to the side as if to point at the gash in the hose, "-so my suit can re-pressurize. How's that?" She watched for his reaction. Not just his words, but also his face, his body. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - The Rogue - 12-19-2015 He pauses and looks..at nothing particularl and thinks for a bit. “I have an idea, I’m going to seal the crack with Omnimilum”, Connor closes his eyes and places his finger at the top of the crack. The shimmering globules of Omnimilium pour out of Connor’s finger and start sticking to the sides of the gash in the casing. He starts to run his finger down the opening. He goes slow and starts to strain, but in a few minutes he finishes. He takes a gasp of breath. “There! That should do it!”, he exclaims as he sits backs and tries to catch his breath. He looks at Aabidah with his dorky smile. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Clownpiece - 12-20-2015 Whirring motors filled the new-found silence as the suit began pressurizing, the cracks that had prevented that earlier now filled in completely. Somerled wasn’t one that thought very highly of technology. It wasn’t that it was too “new” and confusing for him, he was just set in extremely archaic ways. By his standards, whatever it was that the soldier had on was pretty fancy technology. Within his time, he’d seen plenty of advancements, but nothing to the level of wearable technology. Whatever that thing she was wearing, what with all its whirring sounds and tubes and shit, was completely foreign to him. Unless, of course, it had been made during his final year or so and he just ignored it, which was a very real possibility. What year was it when he got whisked away to here, anyway? The damned fuzziness in his head said 1980s or so, but it didn’t seem right. There must be something he’s missing. “Not important...” Somerled mumbled, switching back to the technological train of thought. With the soldier just sort of slumped over on the ground there like an empty bag, it wouldn’t take a genius to deduce that she probably needed her wearable technology to stand. Why that was the case, he had no clue, but then again, not knowing hasn’t stopped him from mocking people in the past. “So...” he drawled, stepping forward, and staring down at the soldier, a mischievous smile on his face, “You know, in most cultures, it’s considered rude to just lie there while in conversation.” Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Aadibah - 12-22-2015 Aadibah, witnessing the display by Hound, found herself in a great deal of shock. The kid had literally summoned up magick and sealed the hole. Was this guy a djinn? A servant of shaytan? No, if Allah put her here, in this place, then surely there wouldn't be anything haram? Quote:“You know, in most cultures, it’s considered rude to just lie there while in conversation.” Aadibah was only shaken out of her minor stupor when the voice of the first man that had spoken to her after arriving came up again. It ignited a spark of anger, but this collided with her ever growing frustration and confusion. "W-what? The fuck? How? Huh?" She held up a limply pointed finger, going back and forth between the two as she uttered out each word. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - The Rogue - 01-03-2016 Connor helps Aabidah up and turns to the man how just now spoke to them. "Ah well, I am Connor Hound, and you are?" Connor stretches his hand out the man and puts in a confidant smile. "Another question...", Connor looks at the ginnormous saddle, "What the hell is that for?" Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Clownpiece - 01-04-2016 Somerled’s face shifted from mischievous to genuinely happy as the man, who he now knew as one Connor Hound, gave a proper greeting. The first person to do so here. He hoped that it wasn’t a trend for people to be shit at introducing themselves, but that was a worry for future him. Taking the man’s hand, he accepted the shake, and introduced himself. “Nice to meet you, Mr. Hound, I’m Somerled Murdoch. And this,” he released the shake and hefted the saddle, “Is for my trusty steed over there.” He jabbed his finger in the general direction of ‘behind him’ without bothering to look back, pointing at absolutely nothing. Unbeknownst to him, the moose he had summoned was no longer behind him, having wandered over to the fountain, and was now standing in it. “Peripherals,” his own voice whispered to him, yet again fouling his mood. “What in the hell do you mean by...” he angrily muttered, glancing around where Sonny had suggested, trailing off when he noticed the lumbering mount. “Sorry, not behind me, right there.” He pointed in the correct direction this time. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Aadibah - 01-06-2016 Suddenly Aadibah was right side up. Wait, no, it was the man... Why had she gotten up? It must have been instinctual. Typically when someone extends a hand, you grab it. She could feel herself coming back to reality, starting to cope with the situation. Well, at least everything before what just happened. Her suit was working now though, so that's all she really cared about. The mammal she had seen typically associated with Canada now stood in the pool she had previously been slouching against when her world had ended. The soldier opted to observe the exchange occurring in front of her, perhaps it would give her time to think everything through and settle her emotions. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - The Rogue - 01-07-2016 “It’s nice to meet you too, and that's a moose”, Connor says as he kinda points to it and gives Somerled a quizzical look. He shrugs and looks through his Gauntlet Computer a bit. “Well this is fun and all, but I really would like to get going. I’m heading towards a place called the Vasty Deep, ya’ll can come if ya’ll would like. I just need to summon my ride” He flashes a smile to both of them and gets to work. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Clownpiece - 01-07-2016 Somerled just kept his friendly smile as Connor began his own summoning process, diving right back into his train of thought as soon as he could. Obviously, his first priority would be getting Sonny out of his head. He hadn’t even had to deal with this shit for half an hour and he was already getting sick of it. If this trend of interruptions continued for too much longer he just knew he would lose his mind. Of course, a task like that probably wasn’t going to be little nor easy, he figured. After all, he couldn’t just summon a body for his other half with omnilium or whatever it was. No, he needed enough magic to be able to create one. They weren’t ghosts, they couldn’t just haunt whatever corpse they wanted and make do with that. Which lead to his second issue, magic. If his observation was correct, it looked like Sonny was leeching off of his magic to do anything, meaning their magic pools had been inexplicably conjoined. If this was the case, it would throw a whole toolbox in their plans, not just the wrench. “Sonny,” the storm spirit whispered, hoping the spirit was paying attention and not just moping around in his consciousness. “Yes?” came the hesitant reply, a few moments of silence between the two tones as Sonny waited to see if his other half would continue his sentence. “I need you to do what you did earlier,” Somerled asked of him, “When you got the attention of that soldier.” “Making another body,” Sonny trailed off for a moment, “Do you have enough magic for it?” “Just do it,” he growled. After his order, it didn’t take long for pain to erupt in Somerled’s head as his power was once again torn from him. “Fuck,” his voice remained quiet and his visage neutral despite the magical migraine he was experiencing. In front of him, a ball of pure light began coalescing, in mere moments spreading out into a humanoid form. This figure of light shuddered a few times, quickly dimming into the spirit of the clear sky. “Huh...” Sonny let out a small sound of interest, taking the time to look over his newly formed body. “Feels really light,” he noted, his voice no longer a whisper. He gave a quick experimental spin. A small gesture like that was all he needed to ascertain what he had already figured, and he lifted his gaze back to his other half. “The body is incomplete. It’s more of a reflection than a vessel. Definitely not permanent.” “Not what I was testing for, but okay!” Somerled gave a half-hearted cheer. “Now I know what we’ll need to do. Just gotta ask Hound a question when he finishes.” “In the meantime,” Sonny continued his other half’s paragraph, turning towards the soldier, an apologetic smile on his face, “Sorry for the bad first impression. We had a small bump in the road getting here.” He bowed politely, “I am Somerled. And you would be?” Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Aadibah - 01-09-2016 Aadibah just decided to not try and rationalize with any laws of the world the person that had suddenly appeared out of nowhere in a flash of light. Maybe if she started repressing this memories she would keep her sanity... Quote:“I am Somerled. And you would be?” The soldier turned to the first man who had found her here, feeling the urge to give out a fake name come up. No, that probably wouldn't matter in a place like this. "A-adibah..." She replied slowly. The name "Somerled" was incredibly European in nature, yet he looked like he was born in Japan. "C-could you explain how, um, you just did that?" She pointed at the other person that had been formed. Re: A Green Tinted Sky - The Rogue - 01-10-2016 Connor wipes his brow and looks at the finished Trimerrera bike. He turns to the people he just met. Wait....one, two, th-three? That can't be right, there was just two before. Aabidah and Somerled, now there was some glowing dude. Connor pats his pockets and realizes his weapons are still in the ground. He looks up at the three of them, then he slides over to his guns and calmly reloads and re-holsters them. He clears his throat and looks at the glowing man. "Who the hell are you?" Re: A Green Tinted Sky - Clownpiece - 01-10-2016 Doing his best to shrug off the pain in his head, Somerled turned towards Aadibah. Though he hadn’t really been planning on paying attention to however his other half decided to remedy the situation with the soldier, upon hearing those wonderful words asking how he had made Sonny appear out of seemingly nowhere, the monster just couldn’t help himself. “Magic, of course!” he exclaimed, louder than he should have due to a ringing sound creeping up in his ears. The grin on his face couldn’t grow any wider, the spirit absolutely reveling in this moment he had to brag. Lifting one of his hands up, Somerled drew upon just enough of his power for a nice little party trick. Slowly, miniature black clouds coalesced under his downward-facing palm, a tiny thunderstorm growing in his hand. His grin faltered for a moment as the pain in his head flared up even more. Soon, insignificant cracks of lightning flashed throughout the palm-sized storm, and content with his demonstration, Somerled lifted his hand, letting the storm run its own course. The presentation now finished, Sonny leaned over and did what his other half was unable to do. A quick sweep of his shining hand caused the cloud to dissipate back into the air. “Highly limited right now,” the storm maker admitted, irritation creeping into his tone, “Though I’ll beat that limitation someday.” Before he could say anything beyond that sentence, the sound of someone clearing their throat caught his attention. Quote: "Who the hell are you?"Connor growled, glaring quite angrily at Sonny. The spirit in question grew a confused look, not quite sure how someone could have forgotten introductions that happened mere minutes ago. “Drop that question you have there,” Somerled interjected before Sonny could say anything, taking a quick step over to his side, giving him a joking knock on the head. “I’m the one with the actual body.” A ripple spread along the sun spirit’s body, starting from the spot his other half had tapped. After this ripple came a shimmer, magic destabilizing and quickly dissipating his body in rays of light, causing him to shine even brighter than he had before. A look of surprise crossed Sonny’s face, but before he could say anything, his body had completely dissolved, leaving nothing behind. With the constant magic drain gone, the headache Somerled had been feeling began to fade away itself. “Uh...” the monster paused, having no idea how to react to what had just happened. “Whoops.” “I’m not even going to comment on that,” Sonny responded with his voice. “Anyway, that body you saw was mine.” He addressed Connor, their shared body only turning the head to face the man a few moments later. “Two people rattling around in this head.” Somerled's body held eerily still, their personalities not in sync at all. “I think we still count as one people, technically.” Somerled said after a moment, making sure Sonny wasn’t going to continue that sentence. “Point is, I’m Somerled,” Sonny opted against going on that tangent, “Though if it makes it any less confusing, feel free to call the glowing body ‘Sonny.’” In a rare moment of unison, both halves found themselves hoping that this convoluted explanation out of one body wouldn’t just confuse everyone further. |
