Re: The Statue of No Worth (Open) - Ari - 02-03-2016

The sobbing girl flinched when Granite touched her before slowly relaxing. It's okay.... you're safe... they won't hurt you... you're going to be alright just get up and start walking... Taking a moment to calm herself, Cat turned and hugged Granite's arm. She didn't have the stability to get up so she could properly hug him but the large creature would probably take that as an answer of yes. Yes, she really did need a hug.

After quite some time the girl had finally stopped crying and got to her feet. Cat dried her eyes and tucked the little eldritch-abomination-shaped doll into her bag. "I-I'm sorry... I don't mean to hold you up. I-I'm sure you have other things to do sir, a-as should I. I-I'm waiting to receive a response from my.... team leader? Y-yeah. I think that's what he.. it?... is. I-I should be leaving soon."

Quote:Sorry for the late reply. Exams hit me pretty hard.

Granite placed his hand on Cat's back during her hug. None of the kids back in Ust'-Ilimsk hugged like that, but he didn't complain. It took a while, but she eventually calms down and dries her eyes enough for her to be helped up by Granite. "I'm afraid I don't have anything to do. Do you wish for me to come with you... ms. Cat?" He said, stepping back after making sure she was standing stable enough. "And what about you two..." As Granite looked back he couldn't see Phalanx. Oh... It must have left during the hug... The stone creature thought. "Jason?" He asked, directing the question solely to him.

Jason turned to the large stone creature, arching an eyebrow. He had been chuckling at the metal man's response to his pet name for him. " I'll travel with you. It's not like I will be returning to my home-world any time soon. " The Zepharian would shrug lightly.

Cat looked up at Granite then to Jason, mentally weighing the pros and cons of it. Slowly she nodded. It would be easier for them to come with her.

"O-okay. w-we need to go.... west? I think? Umm.. it's a desert.. so Umm... I guess we can just go now then."

Cat checked the screen of her dataverse device and turned to face the direction of the endless dunes. A second look behind her to make sure her companions were in agreement, and Cat started walking towards the gate.
