Honestly the only problem I have with this thread is you threatening people for making a perfectly logical decision; "This person has 5 artefacts. Let's go do something about that." What you're basically saying is "let's let this person, who was or should have been perfectly aware of the consequences attached to gaining 5 artefacts AND winning Dante's Abyss, avoid any and all conflict or repercussions over that decision."

Even if the player isn't mad, there are a lot of characters that have good reason to be upset about their deaths. There are more characters who want artefacts. Hell, the whole point of an artefact is to attract conflict. Otherwise, why even have it? If you never get into a fight you can never use the artefact.

Eh, ganking the winner is in the spirit of Dante's Abyss anyways. Backstabbing, betrayal and a bit of the good ol' fashioned ultraviolence. I'd certainly have no qualms if I won and someone beat the everloving crap out of me right out the gate. Plus, I'm not a big fan of metagaming, like, at all.

DA was an elaborate ploy to get all the artefacts in the hands of one person, only to have Proto shotgun the victor and dance into the sunset.
