Though I assume this is for regular, basic attacks. You wouldn't be able to layer this on top of another, purchased, move unless you purchased an extra variation of that move. RE: Move Approval V - James Knight - 12-27-2017 Slight Adjustment to NFL - R. Instead of looking like what it did when I first posted it up... ![]() Name: Chaotic Quarter-Spear Staff (Weapon) ![]() Price: 900 OM Proficiencies Required: Ranged Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency, Physical Strength Proficiency. Description of Move: A quarterstaff that was purchased from a vendor in the Nexus by Warren. This staff doubles as a spear but also has another function to it. The staff has been outfitted with Technology that allows it to shoot bursts of purple energy that do a moderate amount of damage. The staff is able of course to be summoned whenever Warren needs it. It takes 5 seconds to switch ‘modes’ of the staff. The spear mode is capable of being used for melee combat, or thrown at an opponent. The blasts don’t drain much energy but they are not very accurate. 6–8 feet long, this spear can be thrown 20 meters. It is moderately draining on his stamina, and does not require any concentration to use. This is one of the weapons that Warren has obtained, or will anyway. RE: Move Approval V - King Ghidorah - 12-28-2017 Wasteland - Tier 2 Superattack: Requires Ranged Proficiency, Area Attack proficiency, Golden Lightning, kaiju-sized PUF greater than 100 feet tall - (800 OM) While in his three-headed kaiju form, Ghidorah unleashes the full power of his pseudo-electric gravity beams and lays waste to a vast tract of countryside by bathing it in kaiju-sized crackling golden lightning, weaving his serpentine necks wildly and firing continuously from all three heads for a full six seconds. As he is mainlining his cosmic power-source in order to fuel this assault, each beam is several times more powerful than normal, and each one passes over any given spot within the area of effect at least once. This attack affects a conical area in front of Ghidorah one-hundred meters wide at the base, 500 meters long and 500 meters wide at the maximum range. Ghidorah must be standing still while performing this attack (though he may also hover, as long as he is stationary) and it can only be performed while in kaiju-form. Using this much power is a tremendous strain, and limits the amount of time he can remain in kaiju-form (SP cost). Wasteland can be negated by a Tier 2 or greater Super Defense. This Supermove absolutely requires a giant body to use. If it were to be somehow performed without one, the person doing so would be incapacitated by the strain. This needs Telepathy RE: Move Approval V - Erik Vrell - 12-28-2017 Psi bow: (Requires ranged proficiency) (300): Erik forms a bow out of violet energy, which takes 3 seconds. It is a metre long and fires one arrow at a time. It can fire up to 50 metres away before the arrows hit the ground. Each arrow is also made from violet energy, and each takes 1 second and a small amount of energy to summon. Erik must take a second to aim each shot if he wants to be accurate, and can be fired while moving at an aim penalty. Each shot does average damage, moves at typical arrow speed and is quite accurate when Erik both stands still and aims. (In the future I will buy different arrows with different stats, and the stats given are for the default arrows I am buying now.) RE: Move Approval V - Gaston - 12-31-2017 Bronze Pernach (Requires Physical Strength, 300 OM): A bronze mace Gaston acquired. It is about 30 centimetres long and golden coloured. Its handle is small and is stopped by a long connecting rod on which a decorative coil is placed. At the top, there is a head with several pointed flanges around it. This is somewhat fast to use, due to its small size, but not as much as, for example, a knife. Steel-Reinforced Targe (Requires Physical Strength, 300 OM): ![]() A wooden shield reinforced with steel. This shield is 60 centimetres in diameter and has a metal, studded cross and circle on its front. Its back is covered with a deerskin, with two straps sticking out that go on Gaston's arm to fasten it on. This shield is rather strong, able to stop or weaken most normal attacks. Gaston can attack while holding the shield, but it becomes harder for him to move it around to block as he concentrates on other attacks. RE: Move Approval V - Erik Vrell - 01-01-2018 I realised that psi chakram is stupidly weak for it's high charge time, so I'm giving it better proportioned stats. Old move: Psi Chakram (300) (Ranged Proficiency) : Using psychic energy, Erik materialises a razor sharp ring of purple energy. The chakram takes 10 seconds to materialise and does moderate damage. The chakram bounces off inanimate objects (e.g.. walls) and damages animate or organic objects ( e.g. other primes or trees.). The ring itself is about 6 inches in diameter, has a maximum effective range of five metres and travels at a fairly fast speed, about that of a thrown baseball New move: Psi Chakram (300) (Ranged Proficiency) : Using psychic energy, Erik materialises a razor sharp ring of purple energy. RE: Move Approval V - Desman Black - 01-02-2018 Blown Away- 300 OM (Requires: Area Attack, Physical Attack) Desman takes a 3 sec charge-up time, during which he can not move, to absorb Air into his body before releasing it all in a sudden gust of wind releasing outwards from his abdomen (not hitting any opponents or allies above him, but hitting anyone in the whole 360 degrees around Des). This wind is not damaging and hits friend and foe alike, pushing them out about 20ft away from Desman. Targets have to be within 12ft of Des to be hit by the move in the first place, and people with a DEF lower than Des's ATK may be pushed back further, while people with a DEF higher than Des's ATK won't be pushed back as far. RE: Move Approval V - Leonardo Watch - 01-02-2018 Hacked eyes – 300 – Ranged proficiency, Debuff proficiency, Telepathy Leo concentrates for 2 seconds, targets someone on his field of vision, and then takes control of their sight, allowing Leo to see and shift their gaze as if their eyes were his. The debuff lasts up to 10 seconds, and does no damage. Instead, Leo mostly uses it to mess with his enemy's attacks (it's hard to aim when you can't control your own sight), but it can be used to check what they're seeing too. It's worth mentioning that Leo doesn't directly control his target's eyes; the debuff works more akin to a sofisticated illusion than a telekinetic attack. This means that what the target sees under the effect is not really what their eyes are perceiving, and so are Leo's (since he's seeing what his target does – the distortions from this move included). Maintaining the debuff takes Leo's full concentration; not only he can't use his other moves while active, but doing anything more taxing than slow movements can break the effect, including receiving any kind of damage. Because of this, crossing the soft limit of his powers automatically cancels the move, so it's unavailable past it. Depending on the difference between Leo's TEC and his target's, they may be able to resist the debuff, although at least the first second of it will always work as intended, mostly because one needs to realize they're under the effect to fight it. Since its working is subtler than his other attacks, if Leo is not actively shifting his target's vision, they may not notice they're under it. Targets with Insight, Telepathy, and Foresight are better at detecting it. The higher the target's TEC, the easier is it to notice and resist the effect. It has full effect on targets with half or less than Leo's TEC, and no effect past 2 TEC points over Leo's. The soft limit for this move stands at 10s (one use at full duration). The soft limit thing [spoiler] Leonardo Watch Wrote:Using his powers won't tire him in the slightest. RE: Move Approval V - James Knight - 01-03-2018 Posting these moves up for an NPC I am about to make, for Warren that has existed in the past. NFL- R (Ranged Proficiency, 300 OM, RP Fodder.): The NFL-R is a watch like device that shoots a 7-14 inch beam of energy out of it at an opponent when worn. This travels at about the speed of an arrow, and takes him about 15 seconds to charge up properly. However, the NFL-R is required to have a variety of apps and techniques that he can do while wearing it. It also, if functional would create his armor over his body. Sadly that function has been lost when it was brought to the Omniverse. The NFL-R is a move that also acts as his communicator and Mobile Dataverse Device (When he acquires one that is) so all of his stuff is integrated for his own use. The move does have a lot of power behind it, once fully charged, meaning it can likely do a lot of damage were it to hit an opponent. It can be aimed, as well. Ricky can most certainly move when aiming, and firing the blast of energy from the watch. Lightning Blast (300, Ranged Proficiency, Debuff Proficiency.) One of the capabilities Ricky created anew when Warren vanished originally. This possesses electricity akin to a Tazer, but it is more of an electrical energy blast. It travels as fast as an arrow, has a range of 50 feet and does a mild amount of damage. This is mildly taxing on his energy reserves, and doesn't take much time to charge, having a 3 second charge time. it isn't very damaging, but it is very accurate. This requires both hands, and shoots out of the right wrist of his suit, or out of the palm of his hand if he is not wearing his suit. Fire Blast (300, Ranged Prof, Debuff.): This requires both hands, and shoots out of the right wrist of his suit, or out of the palm of his hand if he is not wearing his suit. A cousin to the Lightning blast, this has a range of 50 feet. It travels at the speed of an arrow, and has a three second charge time. It isn't very damaging, only doing mild damage. But it is very accurate. This is mildly taxing on his energy reserves, the equivalent of a light work out. This will cause an opponent to suffer a burning sensation for about seven seconds, and has an 18 second cool down. Requires one hand. Super Bowl Ring (Ranged Proficiency, 300): A super bowl ring is a weapon of immense power from Ricky's homeworld. This can shoot blue thin wire like beams out of energy from it. The blasts do moderate damage. They aren't very taxing, and are about as draining as a light workout. The Super Bowl Ring is worn by him on his right index finger. This can be used as a covert weapon by Warren. The beams travel at the speed of an arrow, and have a range of thirty five feet. The beams lack the power to do any serious harm, being limited to only moderate damage. This can do a shot every seven seconds. RE: Move Approval V - Kopaka - 01-04-2018 Hurihia te Hukarere (Requires Area Shield, Ranged Attack, Ranged Materialize, Basic Telepathy) - 300 OM Being an embodiment of Ice allows Kopaka to tap into the power of ice-based attacks from other fighters. If Kopaka is attacked with a ranged attack that uses ice or cold as a descriptor for its delivery, Kopaka can seize control of the move and redirect it at a target of his choice. In order to do this, Kopaka must be standing still and be able to detect the incoming attack for at least 1.5 seconds beforehand in order to focus his attention and power. Once prepared, Kopaka can 'hold' the ranged attack around him for up to three seconds before discharging it at a new target. Kopaka can only redirect one attack at a time, and cannot defend against other attacks while redirecting. Performing this move costs Kopaka twice as much endurance as the original user, and also drains a small amount of his elemental power. From the Rules on Moves: "Moves, whether offensive or defensive, may not have benefits against particular elements or character types. For example, an attack which pierces water shields, or a shield super-effective against fire. This is because due to the nature of our site, some characters may solely utilise a particular elements like flame or electricity, whereas others may use several elements, or original elements that exist only in their own fiction. We don't want people to pick characters based on perceived advantages and disadvantages, or characters who use many elements to have an advantage over those who are specialised. Therefore, these elements are to be regarded as "fluff". If you want to give your move fodder by saying it only works against evil characters or mechanical characters, that's your choice, but it won't improve the move's efficacy or give you any special advantage, because it is purely fodder.
