RE: Quick Questions - Larfleeze - 05-23-2017 Say you steal the weapon of a non-player character after you disarm them. Would you have to have an attack approved in order to use it? RE: Quick Questions - Amaterasu - 05-23-2017 (05-23-2017, 12:51 AM)Chakravartin Wu Kong Wrote: Say you steal the weapon of a non-player character after you disarm them. Would you have to have an attack approved in order to use it? You can use it as an incidental weapon, which means it won't be as effective as a full move. If you buy it as a move it'll be stronger. RE: Quick Questions - Omni - 05-23-2017 Just a reminder - if you can't find an answer to a question, please at least do a cursory search before the rules before asking questions. I'm not doubting that most people genuinely did search, but ... for example, if you want to fnd the information on changing characters, it's probably a lot faster to just navigate to the rules and click "Changing Characters" than ask a question. If you ask someone else, all they're gonna do is exactly that, and relay the information to you. RE: Quick Questions - Amaterasu - 05-23-2017 Is there physical hardware that hosts the Dataverse (servers, clients n such) somewhere in the Omniverse? RE: Quick Questions - Omni - 05-23-2017 No. It's fully wireless. :omni: RE: Quick Questions - Dawnika Snow - 05-23-2017 If my character is two sentient beings, must I have a secondary for one of her 'halfs'? I assume this will be something of Jojo Stand Effect, where all stands and stand users share damage and have certain perks and disadvantage. RE: Quick Questions - Omni - 05-23-2017 We generally don't allow characters that come in two halves. You can put forward your character, but it's unlikely to be an exception. RE: Quick Questions - Dawnika Snow - 05-23-2017 Excuse my persistance, but what if one of said character's halves was merely cosmetic/flavor and offered no bonus beyond companionship? She's jst a floating ball of spirit energy that most people would be lucky to even see. RE: Quick Questions - Omni - 05-23-2017 Then ... you can do that. RE: Quick Questions - Marisa Kirisame - 05-23-2017 Is quick travel ok between bases? (as long as the requirements have been met?) since I have bought another base and I plan on having one in every verse I would love to know RE: Quick Questions - Omni - 05-23-2017 What requirements for quick travel? Is this a new system? :woah: RE: Quick Questions - Marisa Kirisame - 05-23-2017 The recall station in particular. (the thing says it brings you to your base) RE: Quick Questions - Omni - 05-23-2017 I think ... the answer is a yes? I think you're just asking if the recall station can be used as stated in the rules? It can. You still need to post that you're doing it, but yes, you can recall to a base that has a recall station. RE: Quick Questions - Dane Regan - 05-25-2017 I would assume this to be a yes, but: In a pre-omniverse flashback. Can a prime use a move, power, or ability they do not currently posses inside the Omniverse. For example, a mage forgetting spells upon coming here having a flashback to a point in time where they used the spell. RE: Quick Questions - Gildarts - 05-26-2017 Are there/ could there be trains in Coruscant? RE: Quick Questions - Mark - 05-26-2017 (05-26-2017, 02:55 PM)Gildarts Wrote: Are there/ could there be trains in Coruscant? Sure! The upper tiers would probably have super fancy magnet rails and the lower tiers might have the comparatively outdated regular trains. RE: Quick Questions - Omni - 05-26-2017 I imagine on Tier 4, going on the subway is probably like doing so in a seedy area of Chicago. They'd probably be 'owned' by gangs at Tier 5, and Tier 6's has probably long ceased to function. Tier 7 I basically just consider the sewer from Taris in KOTOR, lol. RE: Quick Questions - Odin - 05-26-2017 I have been kicking around the idea of a second character and had a question. Would Doc Holliday as interpreted by Val Kilmer in the movie Tombstone be considered a real person? I can totally see both sides of the argument. Thanks either way! Since the movie Tombstone is noted as being a historically accurate portrayal of the person, I'd say he'd count as a real person. |
