Re: Move Creation Workshop - Minato Namikaze - 11-11-2015 Yes, of course, this is where you come to work on moves before submitting them for approval. Just make sure to get any proficiencies/ Powers you may need before submitting moves for actual approval Re: Move Creation Workshop - Moon - 11-11-2015 Right, then. I suppose I'll get one move sorted out right now. Gasterblaster: Requires Ranged Proficiency, Ranged Materialize Proficiency. 300 OM Dawson summons four Gasterblasters, which basically look like floating goat skulls. Each shoots a single beam, but they don't have to shoot at the same place or time. It takes 3 seconds to summon them, and 3 more to fire. They shoot out a white beam, which is quite powerful, and quick to reach their destination. Though, the summoning and firing time is quite slow, so a bit of strategy is needed to work around that. Added to the low speed is the fact that the eyes flash yellow just before they shoot, making them even more predictable. Finally, once firing, the blasters cannot move until the beam ends, then they desummon. RP Fodder: Dawson learned this move by watching a fighter in his own world, named W. D. Gaster. Unable to use it, however, he forgot it soon enough. The Omniverse granted him enough magic power to summon them. Re: Move Creation Workshop - Gilgamesh - 11-11-2015 Dawson Guidio Wrote:Right, then. I suppose I'll get one move sorted out right now. This seems pretty balanced . My only questions would be if there was a limit to how long he could have them up for. Like could he prep them and have them follow him around in combat for a while and fire when he eventually wants them to or is it time sensitive? Re: Move Creation Workshop - Moon - 11-11-2015 Gilgamesh Wrote:Dawson Guidio Wrote:Right, then. I suppose I'll get one move sorted out right now. I suppose they could stick around. But only for a maximum of two minutes. Re: Move Creation Workshop - Dawnika Snow - 11-11-2015 Dawson Guidio Wrote:Right, then. I suppose I'll get one move sorted out right now. Can Dawson move while using this? Also, are the skulls summoned all in one instant in three seconds or are they summoned each everythree seconds? If the former, Dawson my have to hold still to summon the skulls and maybe to fire them. As far as moving with them being idle, that should be fine. Re: Move Creation Workshop - Moon - 11-11-2015 Akame Wrote:Dawson Guidio Wrote:Right, then. I suppose I'll get one move sorted out right now. Sort of. He has to primarily focus on the blasters. And it actually depends. He can go all at once, or one by one. Is that a big enough variation to warrant a price change, or...? Re: Move Creation Workshop - Dawnika Snow - 11-11-2015 Dawson Guidio Wrote:Akame Wrote:Dawson Guidio Wrote:Right, then. I suppose I'll get one move sorted out right now. Oh no, it mainly for clarity. You should say something like: "each skull can be summoned one at a time or at the same instant depending Dawson's situation." Re: Move Creation Workshop - Moon - 11-11-2015 Right, then. One moment. Re: Move Creation Workshop - Moon - 11-11-2015 Take two. Gasterblaster: Requires Ranged Proficiency, Ranged Materialize Proficiency. 300 OM Dawson summons four Gasterblasters, which basically look like floating goat skulls. Added to the low speed is the fact that the eyes flash yellow just before they shoot, making them even more predictable. Each skull can be summoned at different times, or at once. He cannot move very much while excecuting the move. The blasters, once spawned, follow Dawson around while idle (but not firing), and stay for around two minutes. Finally, once firing, the blasters cannot move until the beam ends, then they desummon. RP Fodder: Dawson learned this move by watching a fighter in his own world, named W. D. Gaster. Re: Move Creation Workshop - Kakashi Hatake - 11-14-2015 Tom Marvolo Riddle Wrote:That's the general idea anything I need to put in writing? 'Short period of time, long enough to make a major attack' Looks great with that addition. Tom Marvolo Riddle Wrote:Well you have the general idea, but keep in mind the hit box is to connect the defense to the attack. Once that happens it starts working against the attack in question. I'm just not sure how it will work again AoE attacks. Maybe cut a hole through it? Still taking damage with a LOT of bleed through? Granted in that case I'll probably be using Protego instead. Thoughts? I guess I should say the hitbox is the point of connection, after that it defends not based on size of the attack (unless AoE?) but rather its strength. Ahh, I getcha. When the attack strikes that box it comes under the effect of the spell. With that, I'd say you may need Area Shield, since if someone for instance threw a dumpster at you, it would exceed the 3-foot rule that we have on shielding. Even though the hitbox is technically smaller, the attack you'd be blocking is much larger. It wouldn't be very fair to have Tom able to deflect planet-sized objects with the tip of his wand =P (as epic as that sounds). For stuff smaller than 3-feet I'd think you're probably fine to go with the version you have, though, as you're essentially RPing a 3-foot shield as 'looking' much smaller for cosmetic/RP reasons. For AoE stuff, it's up to you how you'd like it to work. With such a small hitbox you'd definitely get significant bleed-through, though if it like, extends to the 3-foot maximum in response to AoE it could work a bit better. You'd still take damage as you'd need Area Shield to shield your full body, but it's not nothing. I agree with the Protego idea as that makes more sense in my opinion. Re: Move Creation Workshop - Corporal Light - 11-15-2015 Them Bones (requires Ranged Materilize Proficiency, requires Ranged Proficiency, requires Remote Control Proficiency) Cost: 600 Sans is obviously not the powerhouse that many feared back in the Underground thanks to the new omniphysics employed by the Omniverse. The majority of his powers have subsequently been reduced as a result of this. Them Bones is a wide variety of different attacks and defenses Sans can use. The bones themselves can take on a wide variety of forms, and Sans also can have them materialize from almost any location. All of the forms are white in color, and can be destroyed by a single blow from pretty much anything at no harm to the attacker. He is also occasionally seen using Them Bones as a means to defend himself as well as a means to attack. The materialization time is pretty fast, taking only one second if he wanted to use all the bones he needed, while taking only one second longer to use. He also has full control of his bones, and can move them around the battlefield if needed. The "variety" of Them Bones are usually cosmetic, and almost never have an impact on the battlefield. However, Sans has around three "modes" for Them Bones that he has at his disposal. However, he cannot use one while another is in use (Meaning he can't use "Spears" while he is using "Shield." He has to drop the shield to use "Spears.") - Them Bones (Spears) The "Spears" are around two-three feet long, and usually has the physical description of a femur bone. Like all the others, the "Spears" take only one second to materialize if he wanted to use all that he can use (which is about a total of five) and can be destroyed in a single blow from any attack. The "Spears" rarely do any substantial damage unless the opponent has ridiculously low DEF (around 0,) or the opponent simply starts getting hit by too many. Also, he cannot use the "Spears" as melee weapons. It cannot also be used in conjunction with "Spears" and "Shields." When he wants to use them, he simply materializes them anywhere he wants (exception being from a surface) before waving his hand in the direction of where he wanted to throw them. This would result in the spears shooting rapidly at wherever he was waving his hand at, most likely impaling whatever object (or person) was there at the time, though given the omniphysics, it is unlikely it will do any substantial damage. - Them Bones (Sliders) The "Sliders" function similarly to the "Spears," with the exception being that, unlike the spears, they can only be summoned if they touch the ground. Looking identical to the "Spears" and only being around three feet tall, they function almost the same as the "Spears." Like the "Spears," all that he needs can be materialized in once second (the most he can have out is around five,) and he can wave his hand in whatever direction necessary. It's how they move to that location that is different. Instead of simply shooting through the air like a thrown spear, the "Sliders" just slide along the ground at an equally rapid rate, not leaving any traces of its presence in the earth. Like the "Spears," they are easily destroyed, and do the exact same amount of damage, though Sans could use "Sliders" as a means to surprise his opponents. Also, like with "Spears" and "Shields," it cannot be used alongside any other move in "Them Bones." - Them Bones (Shield) The "Shield" works completely differently from "Spears" and "Sliders" in that it is used purely for defensive purposes. It is about three feet wide and three feet tall, and is composed of about six sets of femur bones. Unlike the bones in "Sliders" and "Spears," these bones aren't easily destroyed, requiring a few hits to break. Like the moves before, it only takes one second to form and one second to use, only needing a wave of Sans' hand to utilize. The "Shields" can come out of any surface, though it does no damage, and only serves as a means of defense. However, as it as already been stated, "Shields" cannot be used in conjunction with any other move in "Them Bones." Also, he can only summon one shield, and it can only cover him from one direction of his choosing, leaving him vulnerable if an attack gets behind his shield. Quote:Decided to take up on Kakashi's advice and form this little blurb here. Just want to see if its acceptable in terms of balance and cost. Re: Move Creation Workshop - Kakashi Hatake - 11-15-2015 I think these look very good. The cost would be 900 though, as there are 3 uses. The only thing I can see that might need attention is the 'fatigue' of the shield-casting. With the spears and sliders being pretty brittle and not too damaging, you could describe them as having a lower 'energy' cost, but the shield would need a bit more of a downside if it's going to be durable enough to take a few hits (I'm assuming an average prime with 2-3 attack whaling on it). Depending on how you'd want it to work, you could have it linked to his concentration, breaking when he's taken enough 'mental strain' from keeping it up, or keep its use as is but having it take more 'energy' to cast. You could also give it a longer cast time, though for a shield that's problematic in use if you want to block before the attack hits. Re: Move Creation Workshop - Corporal Light - 11-15-2015 - Them Bones (Shield) The "Shield" works completely differently from "Spears" and "Sliders" in that it is used purely for defensive purposes. Also, he can only summon one shield, and it can only cover him from one direction of his choosing, leaving him vulnerable if an attack gets behind his shield. Finally, it requires more energy from himself in order to use, keeping him from using it too much and forcing him to rely on his speed to avoid damage, with the "Shield" being used to block attacks that he most likely wouldn't dodge. Quote:Changed the description to fit feedback. Thanks Kakashi! Re: Move Creation Workshop - Kakashi Hatake - 11-15-2015 Looks great! The Angels may have some stuff they'd like tweaked/clarified, but from my perspective you should be all set. And you're welcome! =D Re: Move Creation Workshop - Tom Marvolo Riddle - 11-15-2015 Nevermind Re: Move Creation Workshop - Corporal Light - 11-15-2015 Blue Mode: Tier 1 Super Attack Move (requires Remote Control Proficiency, requires Ranged Proficiency) - 600 OM Pretty much Sans' trump card when it comes to combat. Blue Mode is a super move that comes into use whenever Sans believes it is needed. When he wants to use it, he raises one of his hands, palm facing his opponent, and keeps this position for around six seconds, concentrating on the target. Once the six seconds are up, the target suddenly turns a dark shade of blue, and is now able to be tossed around like a ragdoll by Sans. The way it functions is that, in those six seconds, Sans is attempting to access the opponent's "soul" and change its color, which represents the "souls" function. Here, Blue Mode subjects the "soul" to gravity based on Sans whim alone, allowing him to basically throw his target around in whatever direction he finds fitting using just his outstretched hand, doing substantial damage in the process. There are downsides to "Blue Mode," however. For starters, it requires a huge amount of energy and concentration from Sans, preventing him from using it often. Secondly, opponents with a higher TEC than him are able to somewhat resist the effects of Blue Mode, reducing the amount of damage they will most likely receive. Finally, like all of his moves, he cannot use Blue Mode in conjunction with all of his other moves. Quote:Decided to make this in the event I want to have a Super Move available. Re: Move Creation Workshop - Gamzee Makara - 11-17-2015 Super Atomic Double Juggalo Backbreaker (Tier 1 Super Attack) - Gamzee makes a lunge for his opponent from behind, (how he gets behind is dependent of the situation and written differently every time of course) wrapping his arms around the poor soul's waist. Before the target can blink, the clown turns his/her world upside down in a vicious suplex. As his enemy's head/neck crashes into the ground, Gamzee uses this momentum to follow through with one more wrestling throw, this time launching both himself and his unlucky foe into the air before crashing back to earth in a similar fashion as before. During this entire display, the juggalo begins to channel Rage Aspect energy and mix it internally with his innate Subjugglator powers. Upon impact of the second dive, the troll releases this energy all at once in a rainbow colored explosion, similar to that of a large mixed bundle of fireworks, centered around the fulcrum of impact. The explosion is roughly 10 meters in diameter. Cosmetically, the resulting smoke and aroma given off from this rage-splosion smells suspiciously like fruity soda. (600 OM Requires Physical Strength Proficiency and Area Attack Proficiency,) Lightning Aura: I was thinking of having multiple uses for this. Gamzee stands still for four seconds (would three be unbalanced?) to generate his Rage Aspect Lightning, and when the lightning is crawling across his body, he could do three things: charge this energy into a lightning spear to be thrown in his hands, coat his juggling clubs with this energy, ooooorrrr overcharge the lightning to create an electrical explosion, centered around himself. All of the lightning is a deep, pulsating violet. The spear of lightning is a strange projectile that Gamzee throws like a javelin. The spear itself is one meter long and appears as a solid spear of violet lightning. It erupts in a small shower of sparks upon contact with a foreign surface, excluding organic material(i.e. skin or fur) which it punctures as a regular spear would before also violently blowing up in another spark shower that doesn't extend beyond roughly 2/3 of a meter. The downside is of course that the AoE of the sparks is pretty small, and the sparks themselves don't actually do or hurt that much unless Gamzee can actually hit his target. Getting hit with the spear is similar to being pierced by a regular spear, except upon contact the projectile is white hot. It's plasma, after all. The sparks burn just as hot, but would do little more than singe a little skin off unless contact is made with an open wound. That shit will hurt. (Ever burn your hand with a sparkler? Those little fireworks things? Think about but about 3.5 times as ouch.) As the electricity channels into his favorite weapons, the clubs become wrapped up lightning as if it were living barbed wire. The lightning dissipates on contact with any surface, so if he misses, then that's pretty much it for that club. If he manages to land a hit on his opponent with a club coiled with lightning, it is similar to being struck with an electric stun baton or taser. Gamzee can only charge his clubs once per fight, as continued use degrades the integrity and solidarity of his pins. The Overcharged Lightning explosion is also rather contained, and is only about 3 meters in diameter, with Gamzee at the center. It is similar to an electrically caused combustion or explosion. While fairly devastating to any close range opponents, it also happens to damage Gamzee. The explosion singes and burns his skin, but not enough to leave scars. It can be pretty exhausting and often after triggering the blast, the clown must take a moment to breathe and regain his senses. (900 OM for three different purposes, requires Ranged Proficiency, Debuff Proficiency(For the Stun Clubs), and Area Attack Proficiency) Re: Move Creation Workshop - Kakashi Hatake - 11-19-2015 Ballad Wrote:Blue Mode: Tier 1 Super Attack Move (requires Remote Control Proficiency, requires Ranged Proficiency) - 600 OM How long are you thinking for a time limit on this? And does it do any damage by itself other than what is done by the person being tossed into walls and stuff? Can the enemy still use techniques of their own, or are they more or less stunned? Also, you'll be needing Telekinesis and likely also Debuff Proficiency as you're more or less incapacitating them. You wouldn't really (I don't think) need Ranged Proficiency since you're not really casting a projectile, but I think you have it purchased anyway so the point's kinda moot. Depending on your answer to some of these questions, you may not need to make it a Super. If it lasts a while, damages a bunch and incapacitates though, it will need to be a super. You'd need the mentioned power and prof. either way, though. |
