Nowhere in the rules does it say that move purchases take priority over IC story. Deadpool responded to the ad the same as everyone else. For what reason would he be barred from the fight? The rules clearly state that the judge has the final say. We don't even have a judge yet, but even if we did, I see nowhere in Omni's rules, nor in any precedent made by staff that would lead up to DP being withheld from the fight. Can you reference what you are talking about? Or can I get an Admin's input?

You are correct, in the fact that there is no judge at this point in time. Which would mean that we must follow the default rules until a judge is decided on and they give their ruling on the situation.
So, with DP's act of purchasing something (Which is against Omni's default rules), that appears to be something he fully intends to use in the fight, he has disqualified himself from the challenge until a judge is chosen and said judge gives their ruling on the situation.

Would it not be appropriate to just say Deadpool cannot use his purchases? In every other situation where we couldn't purchase... we could still purchase. It just didn't count until the event was over.
And staff have noted that on people's move approvals when they couldn't purchase. So it's hardly new, it's precedent.

@ Retane: I haven't said anything about him accepting to challenge or forfeiting. Until now.
I'm willing to work with Sasuke on a timetable that works for him. But, I'm not willing to give him an open-ended "I'll be gone for the foreseeable future" wait. Everyone involved in this has other things to do as well, on both sides. If Sasuke can give me a good idea of when he can be back from his hiatus, I'll be willing to work with him. If not, then we'll go by the default rules.
Either way, I don't want to keep people waiting, so I'd ask that Sasuke take no longer than 2 weeks to rest and ready himself for the challenge.

I'm not referring to anyone directly on purpose, but if you feel this message is for you, then take it to heart. Writing comes second to respect for each other.
I'd like a good consensus on the judges, but I'd prefer the discussion of whom to choose and how many to be between myself and Sasuke. I'd also like to keep the determination of what rules to use between us two as well. This prevents a "too many cooks stirring the pot" thing from happening, where nothing is able to be decided upon.

Oh... and on the topic of Deadpool buying a Move? Whether he did it specifically to gain an advantage in this fight or not... I honestly just couldn't give a fuck. I wouldn't mind buying a Move or two myself, to be honest. If DP wants to grab an advantage, I really just couldn't find a way to make myself care.

Clarification: if you purchase something, you can join (I'll allow it) but you can't use it in the fight if you join the fight, obvs.
I'll judge this to make sure everything is kosher as it's complicated and then other staff don't have to worry about checking with me the rules etc. Once we've had a few fights like this it'll be easier for mods to see from what I've done.

For the record I wasn't "advantage" grabbing. I was going to make a *special request* (which is says in the rules) to be able to use my newly purchased moves. I was also, for fairness, going to request that everyone in this Fight be able to do the same, until an actual "fight" date is announced.
If this request is denied them so be it.
My reason for this request is that the rules were just updated yesterday, which was after the challenge was issued

Omni already gave his answer to to this, You are not allowed to use it for the fight.

So, AFAIK Sasuke is still within the confines of the saga's verse. With that in mind I will not consider him eligible to challenge until he has exited the verse. With that in mind, no time limits are in place nor any rules about buying shit.
Sasuke can exit the verse at any time he pleases and at that point he will be eligible to track/challenge.
As a saga verse is not technically connected by gates to any normal verse it is a special circumstance. Regardless, I would not consider it eligible to challenge someone inside a saga when you are outside the saga.
