Before I forget, and now that the competition is over I feel fine sharing some feedback that would have probably boosted your score. Since its moot now who won.
Yu, in Stewies' posts I found myself thrown out of the story mainly by two major points. Excessive use of ?! and in general almost all if not all spoken sentences had some sort of excited exclamation mark.
It was very hard to get past and sort of made your post overly uniform. Having watched family guy I know Stewie tends to over react but from a writing perspective it can really tire out a reader. Over all if that one item was changed so you used it to accentuate your posts, I imagine your writing style for him would be a lot more solid and easier grasp.
To twist a metaphor, if everything is excited, then nothing is.

Due to the rapid sequence of battles and circumstances of this particular engagement, there was no defender bonus this time around.

That seems a bit unfair as we also had the numbers advantage and had assumed that the defenders bonus would be there as it is a base assault but OK.

Well, all I can say about that is that you know what they say about assuming things. Especially since there's no actual guarantee for getting a defender bonus in the first place. But in the future this is why you always ask and clarify about things rather than just assume.

Well, when the rules state things like this:
Quote:Defenders are assumed to have an advantage on their home turf, but this is in addition to other factors such as the number and power of attackers.
I think itis safe to say that anyone would assume this this to be the procedure. It seems to be implied that you get it, unless the numbers aren't in your favor. New Babylon had both. =/
Small edit: Unless power of attackers (Protomouse) threw this off track? I dunno, just wanting confirmation..

Keyword here is 'assumed'. There is no guarantee.
Also, the other circumstances mentioned, including the unorganized state of defenses due to the recent chaos with Demetri and Donnel, three of the defenders being away from the base at the beginning of the assault, and yes, the gap in power from people such as Protomouse all played a part.

So, then, would it be safe to assume that a precedent has been set where, if you get base assaulted multiple times, the likelihood of your bonuses diminish?

That is the general idea, yes, provided of course that the assaults in question are rapid/frequent enough to erode and diminish your defenses or leave them disorganized enough to interfere.
